For those who're interested, The HU's offical music video for their original "Black Thunder" is shown on RUclips in 2 parts, with subtitles available in a variety of languages. It displays an accurate reenactment of the 1692 Battle of the Hundred Trees, fought about 40 miles from Ulaanbaatar. The vid presents the struggles of Galdan Boshigt Khaan and his loyal commander, Danjila, fighting hand-to-hand against the invading Manchu. The battle scenes are terrifying. And the music? _Fan-damn-tastic!_

I saw the original part 1 and 2 of Black Thunder and I was blown away. When I saw this version, my first reaction was "anh! wrong! Those do NOT go together." Then I decided to look at it as a mash-up (I appreciate a good mash-up) and now it hardly irritates me at all.

Hey $ky, I know you listened to the original. I’m pretty sure its the one from Fallen Order. Apparently Sugaan Essena (From fallen order). Means Black Thunder. I definately hear the same baseline at parts. Im guessing the adapted it to fit the english lyrics.

Backstory: The HU began by composing "Black Thunder" with Mongolian lyrics because other languages don't work with their throat singing techniques (insufficient phonemes). EA Star Wars asked for an extraterrestrial-sounding language, so The HU obliged and retitled the song as "Sugaan Essena." This third rendition with DL and Serj has brand new lyrics (not a translation), which DL helped to write, keeping to the spirit of the original "Black Thunder." Terrific!

i do think the hu should do a collab with alien weaponry, my reasoning is the mongols and the maoris were some of the feircest cultures in history and the mongolian throat singing and the maori vocals would tie in hand and hand i reckon but i could just be talking out me fukin ass here
