New sellers may think it is overwhelming to have to know so much about everything they sell, when it's really quite simple. When listing, search solds, highest first. Read the titles. Why did this one sell for so much more? Oh! That one's fancy!😊 Now find yours and read a few titles. Chose sell similar and tweek the title if you think it missed something.
You can learn one listing at a time.

Great advice I’m gonna make sure I check over my titles much more carefully because even though I’ve been selling a long time I’m still learning as I’ve been part time for 21 years . I appreciate this video and all the information that you shared with us .
Now , I do not offer returns and never have but I also do not sell things that are mechanical or electronic. I generally sell costume jewelry, clothing, knickknacks , watches ,and stuff like that. But I have done returns if somebody contacts me and says there’s an issue I always take a return I just don’t have it as a policy. Also from what I understand Ebay will side with them even if you don’t take returns if something is damaged. I don’t sell very many expensive things and it would not be worth my time to take returns on some of the pieces I sell. But I think that’s why it doesn’t seem to affect me because they’re not expensive items for the most part. But I do occasionally sell things that are a little bit more money and it’s never seemed to be a problem. I think everybody has to figure out what works best for them. If I ever change what I sell I will have to adjust my return policies. But for now this seems to work for me.

When I do list in vintage clothing, I do not get any traffic and then as soon as I change it to just men’s clothing, I start seeing traffic. I’m still new to reselling, but within the first 3 months I hit their Top Seller and I have a pretty good sell through

I think eBay’s biggest mistake is allowing everyone to fill in item specifics any way they want. It’s lazy on eBay’s part to not prefill item specifics on generally identifiable items ( aka anything with a sku) 100 people could fill out item specifics for the same Dvd or book all differently based on interpretation and there is no standard specifics for items that should be standardized yes you can say but they do that for a lot of items and yes they do but you can also edit them as well or choose not to use them. This is how everything is in the wrong category

A little misleading in discussion about returns... If the VCR doesn't work and that was not disclosed in the description, you absolutely can return it because of eBay's Item Not As Described (INAD) money-back guarantee. And, as opposed to a regular return, the Seller will have to pay return shipping on an INAD. Not accepting returns means I don't accept returns from people who change their mind, don't read the description, have Buyer's remorse, etc. - not because the item is defective.

While I appreciate your tips, I am a bit miffed at the click-bait title (especially since you seem to be anti-clickbait): these are not instances where ebay is doing the hiding and suppressing - these are seller-generated mistakes! And they are valid but let's be clear as to who is doing what. Also, I don't feel some items should be returnable (books, movies) and so I set my policies accordingly. If you do it differently, good on you but don't preach as if there is one way to list, all across the board. And handling times may have to be adjusted to encompass an emergency or traveling unexpectedly, so don't go preaching about that either. Just sayin.

I have been Buying and Selling On eBay Since 1996 and Have been a victim of every Scam! (The Empty Box) Full Money back was the Best So Far! Now eBay Wants to Ask If you would Like To pay an Additional $7.00 to make your Item Visible? Hmm? No I think I would Like My Items to be Invisible to buyers because I just Like Listing Things! I love RUclips but have Never Made a Video but I am Going to Make a NEW to Selling On eBay Video Step By Step eBay Video! It will Be a Very Short Video and Only One Step (Step One) Don't Do It! The End
When eBay Calculates Your Shipping Expenses as Your Auction Value and Calculates their fees off Your Item + Shipping Expense and the Tax the Buyer Paid as your Income It's Time To Say Good Bye! Even Items Than the Buyer Never Paid for Stay in Your Dashboard as Your 90 day Sales and are Reported to the IRS as Your Gross Income! If the Item Ends with A bid Your 90 day Totals will reflect that sale even thou No Money ever was paid on the Item! So the Only Calculation you Need is the PAYOUTS that is What you made after the Product Expense. There is Some Very Fuzzy/Fishy Stuff going on on eBay and after all these years I am finished with SCAMBAY As far As The Shipping! I print my Shipping Labels VIA eBay (Purchase Shipping Label) Once I print the Label That Portion of the Auction Value Should be Deducted From My Sale as Income But it is Not! So the Dashboard Still Calculates the Shipping as a Value and My Income! WRONG!
