Thanks for the informative video, it was really helpful in deciding whether to add two carbs and try that setup or not. I saw another video where someone used two PWK28 carbs and they are super cheap on Ebay, so I am going to see if I can go ahead and make that work. The video was great to watch, it was well made and covered a lot. More XT350 videos would be really good to see.
Separate intake runner for each valve. Fuel tubes other than main inlet are overflow tubes for leaks on cornering. Supposed to have hoses on them on the bike tucked in front of the shock.
@@jr7392 unfortunately this is my first go with this carburetor but from what i have heard its a royal pain to get set right. I dont have any good info for you. good luck.ps i have seen some people going to a single carburetor
@@kylescreations4724 Hi Kyle, thanks for the reply. I still need to tinker with it but yes, I've heard they can be a pain to get right but are good when you do. It's also possible to adapt a raptor 660 dual carb to them (and XT350 and TT600) with a little modification. If I can't get this one to work, may go that route. If you get yours going, let me know any hints!
I have a one owner 86 I picked up about a month ago, went through the carb plus replaced all the hoses too and fired it up Christmas weekend, I didn't change any of the settings other than the idle screw and it runs great! No stalls, accelerates very strong and smooth, this too is a low hours bike. Be very careful with the long drain bolt thing on the secondary carb, I broke the threads off mine and is impossible to find another. I don't believe it's necessary to be so long as this same part number is used on lots of bike's but parts diagrams show it to be just a short drain plug. I currently have a vacuum cap on it with a clamp.
I got a TT350 with the carb completely torn apart and in a bag. It's definitely a huge pain in the ass. I've probably spent more time tinkering and adjusting the carb than riding the bike, but when they're set right they run great I also own an XT350 and both carbs are identical for the most part just jetted differently
the bike would idle fine and did good in the top end but that middle was tough its a balance to get that second carb to open at the right time and give the correct amount of gas. just lots of making little changes. youll get get good at taking that off
I have not had a problem with it shifting but i have heard of people having bent shift forks on this engine. what is it doing or not doing? thanks for watching lots of great stuff coming up
@@kylescreations4724 I dissected a second motor with the milling machine and studied the reasons for the breakages, the third and fourth gears are also a bit too weak because they are very discharged
I just finished rebuilding this engine on an 86 TT, it was locked up and sure was a journey getting it running again.
it can be tough but glad your able to ride it. let the smile begin

Can you switch to a single carb? Is it easy?

glad you got it running.honestly if I had any real problems with this carb I would have made a manifold and swithed to one carb but minre ran good too
