This just seemed like a win-win all round; the friendly professional attitude of the police officer, and the friendly, compliant driver of the car. Good result, really.
Gotta have PC for the stop, if it’s argued a negligible stop due to only one tint test and faulty equipment, all the subsequent evidence goes. Buddy made sure it would stick and doesn’t leave stuff to chance. Nice.
As a European, I find it extremely surprising to measure the driver's window tint AFTER finding a pistol, an AR, narcotics, a (fake? police?) uniform etc...
A pistol and AR-15 is completely legal in most US states as long as someone has a concealed weapon license. Some states even allow you to own/have a pistol concealed carry without a license. An AR-15 is not allowed to be concealed carried, unless it is classified as a pistol (under 16 inches without a stock, we have dumb laws). Handcuffs are legal, uniforms may or may not be. I think it depends on the jurisdiction and whether the person was attempting to pretend to be a police officer. The narcotics are not. The reason they checked it was to make sure they had a valid reason to pull the car over. If the tint had been say 70% (allowing 70% light through), the officers could've been in trouble for an illegal stop. If the stop was deemed illegal all charges would have to be dropped due to illegal search/seizure. Personally, I think the 50% tint law is BS and is only in existence to give police officers a reason to pull people over. His tint being at 41% makes it fairly easy to see inside the car (although the video does make them seem much darker). For an idea of how dark his windows are lookup "New 40% window tint on 2013 ford fusion" on RUclips. I can't link sources here, but many car manufactures install privacy glass from the factory at an even lower VLT (Visible Light Transmission) say 20-25%. I think tint laws should allow at least 30% VLT. In the south east many people will run 5-10%, I would see that as a concern if I was a police officer. Not 41%.... Anyways, just some insight and ideas! Do they allow tint in the part of Europe you're from?

Whoever produces the video, once you recorded the voice for the video, apply a highpass filter to it at around 80Hz. There are a lot of 'pop' sounds that you guys may not be hearing due to small sized speakers. In a full spectrum sound system they just create a lot of rumbly noises.
Can confirm. Running bookshelf monitors with an amp and, while I don't know what it is, I noticed something distinctly off about the audio and this is probably it.
@@tstivers1990 recording with a microphone means you're basically vibrating a membrane with pressure, when you're very close to a microphone certain sounds create air pressure that vibrates the membrane at very low frequencies. The biggest offender is P, in order to make a P sound you need to exhale a substantial amount of air. That air hits the membrane of the mic creating these low frequencies rumbles. Just like a windy weather recording having a lot of rumble sounds. People like to record very close to the mic because due to proximity effect their voice sound thicker with more body to it but without a pop filter which (essentially blocks the air pressure to hit the membrane), result is a rumbly recording like this. You could probably argue that it was at an angle enough to pass, since he had his finger off the trigger while he had it pointed at the bonnet. Had it gone off due to negligent discharge, the round would have either bounced off of the bonnet and flown off into the sky, or penetrated the bonnet. The guarantee of either option hurling the round towards oncoming traffic is rather slim. I would consider the fact that the chambered round was already clear of the barrel by the time that the black car shows up after the first two white cars. At that point, there was no longer any clear danger from a round going off. It's also unclear, but I would guess that he still had the firearm pointed downwards enough by the time the first two white cars passed. He only seemed to angle it horizontally after they had passed.

last time I checked an officer cannot just reach into your car and grab a bag to search through it, while some states do require you to notify the officer if you are armed it is not probable cause to search the vehicle. Any evidence used as probable cause in that bag should be inadmissible in court. As for the case of removing the firearm from the car via searching the bag from the car, that seems like a gray area.
You don't have the exact same view of the officer's vantage point (neither does the body cam), so if he saw anything (such as the white-top jar looking object with something inside it) just by the bag being partially to fully open, then his removal and search of the bag would be very legal. It's the IN PLAIN VIEW portion of the laws pertaining to search.
No, although the bag was in plain sight. They asked if he had any weapons in which he complied and said yes. That bag was completely zipped up. The driver never gave consent to remove the bag and search it. Which gives u a reason as to why he was so calm. A good lawyer will have these charges dismissed and the driver knows it.
The only reason I could see these officers searching the bag and then the rest of the vehicle is because the driver admitted to having a firearm and when they asked him where it was he probably gave them the fact that it was in the bag either by telling it to them or reaching towards the bag, and when they went to secure the weapon they probably saw the drugs and even if marijuana is legal for recreational or medical use in your state under federal law it is still illegal to have marijuana and possess a firearm
Nothing bad happened? Not concerned about a possibly illegal search? Or pretextual traffic stop? Where I come from blatant 4th amendment violations are criminal acts.
The intelligence is strong with this one. That cop pointed a loaded gun at traffic, also. If you are ALONE in your car, and there are drugs, they then become yours. Genius.
Basic breakdown of legal reason for search. 1: he admits to CCW and officers ask him to state it's location. 2: suspect attempts to reach for a duffle bag(in a non hostile manner) after previous events. 3: officers place him in custody for their safety and attempt to remove the Concealed Weapon from the duffle bag. In doing so, they discover weed, bags, and a scale. 4: the amount of Marijuana and the scale present indicate that there may be more substances in the vehicle and perhaps this is for distribution. 5: With reasonable suspicion that there may be more marijuana and/or other substances, the officers search the entire vehicle. CONCLUSION: all searches were legal and justified as seen in the chronological breakdown provided

About the window tint being 41% whereas legal is 50%, that’s visually imperceptible from outside. Especially when it’s day light with a clear windshield letting in lots of light into the front of the cabin. Factory clear glass hovers around 75%. When you apply a light tint of 50%, it will drop to the mid 40% level because you’re adding them together. If you’ve ever seen light tint, you know it’s almost clear looking. In fact, it’s so light that most people tint their front doors with a medium 35%.
Actually the rear side windows are usually allowed a higher tint than the front side windows, or the front windshield and back glass. Plenty of cop killers take unfair advantage of illegally tinted windows so that the cop can't see a passenger or driver loading a weapon. Personally, between that obscured unreadable license plate and the way too dark side glass, that driver was just asking to get pulled over.
My dealer is offering me free tint. I’m going 35% all around and hope I’m not hassled. I can lower in Mo, but neighboring states and all. I may now go 50 in front.
I personally felt that this tint pullover was pretty nonsensical. Pfft, can't see through it. HA! Most drivers who put on tint bring it down to 25% or lower. And yes it's true, if you add 50% tint to a car with factory tint you'll get a lower number on the scale. It's just the way it is. 50% as a rule is obscenely high imo. Hell in my state of CT the rule is 35% and THAT is already not particularly dark.
I live in the southwest US and everyone has tint. Keeps the car cooler inside, protects interior fabric and plastic, lessons risk of skin cancer. I’m always baffled by other states and everyone driving around in fishbowl mode.

In this specific case, they might now have had a legal reason to remove the bag. Therefore, they illegally searched the car and his property

Such a dangerous job! Thank you to all who service our communities and try to keep us safe!

It’s super cool that these guys are able to get these videos to send them out to the public! Great work!!
Whoever produces the video, once you recorded the voice for the video, apply a highpass filter to it at around 80Hz. There are a lot of 'pop' sounds that you guys may not be hearing due to small sized speakers. In a full spectrum sound system they just create a lot of rumbly noises.
I confirm i was just wondering wth was that xD

I don't know why people don't automatically do this.
A proper filter places EVERYTHING within a nice range.
Can be fixed with a low cut / high pass filter but it's best to take precautions to eliminate it at the source.

I appreciate that the man was behaving as anyone who is pulled over should behave. When people are scared or anxious they don’t always listen very well to instructions and I also appreciate that the officers did not panic and start screaming and waving their weapons. They did the best thing by being firm and steady and giving the guy a chance to comply. In these situations feelings run high because the job of Law Enforcement is hard. Everyone knows that the driver who is pulled over can be high on methamphetamines , drunk, crazy, or stupid. The whole situation can escalate in a split second. This man was wrong to do what he did, but his honesty and cooperation when stopped was exactly the best thing he could have done. Good job all around.
This is how it usually goes...til the person does stupid stuff and against the cops instructions. Arguing, running, fighting, avoiding, obstructing all escalated by the subject not the cop...who merely reacts to the escalation which cannot be treated as if the escalation never occurred.
Well said.

It's as though they're trying to imply something is out of the ordinary.
That is exactly the way it should be carried. Now if it was cocked with the safety off.......yikes!
Exactly. It should be expected to have 1 in the chamber. Literally, treat every gun as if its loaded.
There is a legal difference in most states for loaded/unloaded firearm possession depending on the time/place of the interaction
Since it was off body carry outside a holster the gun should have been unloaded.

yeah but they charged him with trafficking, they'll downgrade that charge because he wasnt drug trafficking and he had a permit to conceal carry the weapons.
Jer Gar, you are right. Why is this so complicated for so many people?
Yes, Compliance is the key, nothing to do with race. Let the officer run the detention and all will remain peaceful.

The guy complied and was respectful, and in return was treated with respect and nothing bad happened to anyone involved. Imagine that!
Andy, you are exactly right. Why do so many people fail to see the obvious?
that's what you think! young paddaone may the force be with you.
Nothing bad happened? Not concerned about a possibly illegal search? Or pretextual traffic stop? Where I come from blatant 4th amendment violations are criminal acts.

This is such an important comment, and it should have way more likes. People need to know their rights and be more legally minded.

@@houseofno Actually there’s no law on rear window tint.
My dealer is offering me free tint. I’m going 35% all around and hope I’m not hassled. I can lower in Mo, but neighboring states and all. I may now go 50 in front.
@@houseofno 😂 man ain’t no cop killers thinking about tint knock it off that’s a reason to pull a person over 41 percent
Hell in my state of CT the rule is 35% and THAT is already not particularly dark.

technically speaking, the police illegally searched that bag. They didn't have the legal right to search it. regardless of a gun being in it, unless they established RAS, which at that time, was not clearly stated. So anything the happens due to the bag search is not allowed in court due to it going against the guys rights.
Guy might not have had a permit to have it there. Also officer like to get firearms away from people the best they can so shootings don't happen.
@@mattcrafter1303 it was confirmed that he did have a permit
@@mattcrafter1303 the feelings of the officer doesn’t matter. Just because they want to take the firearm away, doesn’t give them that right. If you have a CCW permit, the police can’t just remove it from you or your possession be user they feel like it. They MUST have a legal reason and or probable cause. In this specific case, they might now have had a legal reason to remove the bag. Therefore, they illegally searched the car and his property

Agree totally. Just because he admitted to having a gun in the car doesn't give a cop the right to search the vehicle.

To be honest, I carry at least one pistol every day, and will on any given day have a rifle in my vehicle as well. Minus the drugs and paraphernalia. All entirely legal. I'll bet those cops had a rifle or shotgun in their cars as well. It's only a " surprise " to those who see firearms as something more than a tool. According to some, we should be surprised the rifle didn't jump out and try to kill someone.
The real surprise was the drugs; they made any firearms illegal. Illegal drugs and guns are a horrible combination. He obviously had a clean record to work security and have a concealed carry permit. Too bad he screwed up so bad but it is all on him.
