I was around 14 at the time and couldn't wait for Splatoon to come out after seeing it on E3 so I made my own. There is a unique map made by a community member in the game that was added in the last update called Trench-down Plaza. I would like to focus on adding more unique maps in the future. In general I am interested in moving the game away from being too similar to Splatoon and have plans to make unique weapons, too. I'm currently working on another project but when I'm done with that maybe I'll come back and give Splatgoo more updates!

I was a Flingza main at the time and begged them to add it, but they said it would be weird without the vertical flick. (There were only horizontal flicks in the game at the time) A week later I checked the game and the thumbnail was announcing the new vertical flick. I was pretty proud of myself, lol. edit: just realized that it's no longer in the game :(
Yoooo, I can't believe this game was talked about! I was part of the Splatoon Alpha community back in 2021 before there were even multiple maps and squid form didn't have any animations. Eventually they came out, and rollers soon after. Toper, one of the map devs, eventually became Noobot9k's (the creator) admin and now is in charge of a lot of things. A little bit after the maps were made, Toper decided to start using the actual textures from Splatoon 1, which increased the quality of their maps. This probably caused a lot of attention to be brought to the game, and when Noobot teased the new squid animations on Twitter, the game finally got taken down in December. For the next 11 months, Noobot and Toper (along with some Discord members) worked on taking every asset from the original game and changing the way it looked to make it unique. Now, the game is released and was really popular at first, but the player base eventually died down and it's very rare to see more than 15 people play the game. While there are many good things about this game, a lot of people keep wanting more stuff that would probably lead to another DMCA, like specials and idols and hero mode and other stuff. Thank you for talking about the game in a positive light, it probably means a lot to the creators that it was mentioned!

I made most of the maps (ancho, snapper, and 2 custom maps those being coral docks is the one with a wip cargo ship and trench down plaza which is a map that people helped me with and it takes place in a fountain.) I’m glad you enjoyed your time on this game and if I continue making maps I won’t use splatoon maps (but I already made reef and museum so rip lol)

i do love splatoon. when my switch broke, i played spla toon (alpha) which is the version before splatgoo, spla toon got removed from roblox due to copyright law though, since it was verrrrrrry similar to the original splatoon 2. (spla toon came before splatoon 3 came out)

The bow would be a Splattershot, and a shovel would be a Blaster. You had a Ghast Tear on your hot bar called “Jumper”. This is how you would super jump to your teammates via teleportation. It had a 30 second cooldown. A lot of old maps were recreations of Splatoon maps. Kelp Dome, Urchin Underpass, Arowana Mall, Camp Triggerfish, and Morray Towers. There was another one, but it was custom map. Later, they added a map created by twin brothers who then became official builders in the server. They added more maps eventually. However, the base game was never updated. The server eventually was running out of funds and had to shutdown on April 2022.

I actually helped make some concept art for this game, mostly weapons.I helped created concepts for the soaker, soaker elite, crush brusher, dynajet and some other stuff. Its quite hard creating unique concepts as the way i made them is usually trying to reference real life items like how the weapons in Splatoon are. Thanks for reviewing it though

I played Splatgoo, or splatoon alpha back around 2016. I didn't have a wii u, but I would always watch ZackScottGames's splatoon 1 series, and always wanted to play splatoon. I fell in love with the game, partly because the game was filled with noobs that I could easily kill, it just felt like such a fun game, despite the lack of quality at the time.

So about splatgoo, I played splatoon alpha back in 2022 just before it got deleted, I enjoyed it ALOT and I got shocked when it got deleted. I played Splatgoo last summer and I gotta say it felt less fun to me, it felt a little bit laggy and empty compared to splatoon alpha and it's definitely less popular too I barely found somone in the matches. but just like you, I love the new ideas around this game.

This game makes me kinda sad, a free online splatoon pc game would be awesome but the devs are limited by Roblox. I played this game and it just feels really slow and clunky imo. The devs could make something cool if they made a splatoon “inspired” indie game or something, of course it would be harder because of server costs and trying their best to change the style to not mimic splatoon so Nintendo doesn’t kill them but still would be cool.

The reason why is because in Splatgoo, you can sprint-jump by swimming and jumping which gives you extra speed. Kind of like a leap. Since it has area damage and it’s a two-shot with indirect hits, it’s really easy to get kills.

@peacefulskies9320 it has much more content such as weapons and specials. For example, when I was still playing splatgoo consistently, I was stuck with having to play as a blaster as that was the closest thing to a charger I could get (im a back-line player at heart), but ever since I touched up on sploon, I can play with chargers now. It also has many of the maps that are actually in splatoon but tweaked a bit. Sploon also has the ranking system that's more like splatoon (im s+6), rather than simple leaderboards (im top 100). Splatgoo does have some things over sploon, though, such as it not being laggy af, and as an Xbox player, lag in sploon is what holds me back. The ranking system in splatgoo isn't as harsh as in sploon. For example, it took one of my friends FOREVER to get out of c- because he kept on getting disconnected from the games slow loading times, which meant his character did nothing, and he got kicked out of the game (his Internet isn't bad at all either). Sploon also never let's friends play on the same team either, which I doubt splatgoo does. Splatgoo also has an actual lobby and warm-up area, unlike sploon.

you should try splat attack, its very barebones with one weapon, but imo the gameplay is so smooth and fluid, however it is kind of a skeleton
