I’ve been craving the Taiwanese pork sausage inside the sticky rice, sausage “roll” for 5 or 6 years now.
Unfortunately I don’t see me having any in the foreseeable future, as I live in an extremely rural part of Pennsylvania in the US. There are no Asian markets, restaurants or food festivals that would feature different cultures via their food… with one exception. That exception is Chinese restaurants, but they cater to American palates & they don’t offer any traditional Chinese dishes. 😔
Within 30 miles in all directions from my town there are 3 Chinese buffets and 5 Chinese take out places. All of which serve Chinese-American foods.
There are two Japanese, teppanyaki restaurants if you expand my circle to 60 miles in all directions.
Other than that, there is no way to experience other Asian cuisine in my neck of the woods. 😢
So…I make some of the foods I want to try. I can find a lot of good recipes online. Though making Taiwanese, pork sausage and sticky rice sausage isn’t within my culinary wheelhouse.

No, I have a sim in Cambodia...it's cheaper ($6/mo) but you can definitely use Saily here until you get a Cambodian sim if you're staying for a longer period.

What kind of job does your brother have required living in many countries? I think he was in Dubai, France, Taiwan - those are ones I am aware of.
