Hello from the US. I was intrigued by the woman at 2:54 who looked like a entertainer. I discovered that she was actually a French writer. Beautiful location!
I wish I would of visited that Columbarium when I was in Paris . But you did it for all of us , and that is one of the many reasons why we love you Sue . God bless you & your Husband ,,, Jeff , from USA
Thank you for the tour sue,you and GVdo wonders,a cemetery walk canbe relaxing aS well as informative, specially where there is pictures of those passed thanks again, safe travels, take care, god bless from ballarat inOz.👋👋🙏🙏👏👏🇦🇺
What a BEAUTIFUL place!! It's SOOOOOO well looked after too!! I do find all those stairs rather daunting though!! Thanks for sharing, Sue, as well as braving the myriad of stairs!! XXXX 🤗💗❤👍
Wow. This is fantastic.!! Everything is unique to each person I wouldn't want to be upstairs either. Nights make me nervous. Thanks for another wonderful view of Paris
Excellent video and you were right to be scared the walkway was held up from underneath . The place is so well kept and peaceful. Thank you for sharing something I would never have seen or known about xx
Those ceramic portraits hold up very well. You'd see them over here on many Italian tombstones or those from Europe. Over here there in the open. The black and whites have real staying power. Well, over a 100 years. I like a lot of the personalizations. Nice tour. Great content
Thank you for showing me around such a Fascinating, Huge and but a little scary wonderland. Love the way most of the tablets are so shiny and the photos of those resting in peace. Safe travels!
Wow! A lot of those headstones sure have a great shine to them, beautiful. Very interesting visiting a cemetery in France. Thanks for all your hard work.
Thanks for being brave Sue, I wouldn't have wanted to go up to the second level, with it being propped up from below! Lovely railings but very old. Thanks for all you do.
The Columbarium beneath the chapel is very creepy but lovely ,3 floors (i think) with very dim lighting, think i was the only one in there ,only one exit door open at the time was paranoid about being locked in as it was late in the day didn't go down all the way
My heart dropped when you hit that loose step! I am bad with heights😱 Loved seeing the photos. Very beautiful and large place. Thanks for the tour! (Cathal told us about a loss in your family. Condolences 🙏🏻💐)
Hi Sue, beautiful columbarium. I like it when there are photographs on the cover. That cat walk is narrow, which really does not encourage visitors. Judging by those supports with caution tape, you were probably right not to go up there. There is one niche that I found particularly interesting; It has a photograph of a soldier, who died in 1915, perhaps killed in action during the first world war. This was a awesome video, thank you very much Sue. Take care. 😊
Sue I am so proud of you and how you conquered the fear of heights. I also have that to but think about when flying over to France. Just think like that when you are going to do that again. Awesome video ..I saw on two stones my mothers first name and a distant relative last name. ❤❤❤
I love your channel! I don't comment because I am usually in the middle of something when you pop up. But I have been trying to dedicate more time to watch it. This cemetery is so, so beautiful. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks for another FASCINATING video, Sue. What a beautifully laid out place. Also the sky looked so beautiful when you panned your camera upwards. I've noticed that the continental habit of putting a photo on a memorial or headstone is happening more often here now and I think that's good.
that columbarium is very large , you are very brave Sue I'm terrified of heights so I totally understand how scary it would of been , you deserve 5 stars for giving it a second go ❤ what a beautiful cemetery
I always thought columbariums were indoors. But I like the way these are open to the outside but still covered from the most severe elements. I question the upper level. There are many temporary supports in place like it has become a work in progress. It needs more attention. Sue you are a braver woman than I! Thank you for letting us tour with you! XO ♥️
It is beautiful, very well kept. I love the faces, you get to see what they looked like and i wonder what they did in life. Great video as always Sue. Love them all❤😊
Absolutely wonderful loved the video it truly is a beautiful place brought tears to my eyes looking at some of the memorials as they are so shall we be that is our destiny ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can't believe how nervous I got when you were on that upper level walk way. I used to have no fear of heights, but that changed when an elevated section I was working on collapsed and dropped to the ground. Just thinking of you up there, all I could say was Sue go back down Please go down.
That is very lovely how that is set up, lovely photos of the departed… so many stories there no doubt 👍 seeing that got me thinking, if they (the departed) could say one thing (one last thing) to help mankind what would it be… I believe it would be something in the area of “treat everyone like you yourself want to be treated” I think that’s going to be on my stone 😂 Excellent as always Sue 👍👍👍
The walkway and stairs in the columnbarium seem a little unsafe. I'm not sure i would go upstairs. Sue you are brave ! I prefer the mausoleums. Thanks for another terrific video !
Absolutely beautiful❤❤❤ I like your videos because you stop at some to look and read the lives lived and died. God bless you sweet Sue..I love your Irish accent....we are neighbors. My ancestors are Scottish.😊😊
Hello from Toronto, Canada! It’s been a long time since I last visited Pere Lachaise, it’s one of my favourite places in the world. Thank you for doing a POV tour video since I haven’t seen it in so long. It was great to walk with you here virtually. I hope to travel to Europe soon! Thank you 😊
Beautiful columbarium! You're braver than I am, I am so afraid of heights. I would have never walked that narrow walkway with that skinny railing. I am in awe of the gorgeous old buildings you have shown in your videos. The U.S. doesn't have that history. Thank you for taking me along! 💖
Hi Sue, it looked like the crypts up the stairs were much larger and deeper so they were for a full coffin I take? Looks like an incredible place... very bright and very airy.
I think that most of the dead interred there have been cremated and are in urns. Maybe those in caskets are on the bottom level. They could have made the walkway upstairs wider. It is too narrow for walking.
I wonder if this place was closed during ww2 because I didn't see many if only a few that were during the war years. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Thank you for sharing. Much ❤from Nashville TN USA 🇺🇸 😎
Such a sad ending to isadora duncan she was on a coach drawn by horses and her silk scarf caught in a rear wheel and pulled so tight it broke her neck she was 50 god bless her
Your Paris videos have been stunning! Were you creeped out in the catacombs? I never quite understood how there were so many bones and bodies to create them. Very strange to me
I thought that maybe the stairs lead to the business end of the crematorium with only staff allowed. It's all so beautiful, a stunning building, columbarium, and gardens.
@@SerenitySueGraveyards well there’s a reason I wonder now cause I was visiting graves and just having a wander and my husband was a little bit further back than me and a lady was squatting down at a grave and as I passed her I said sorry excuse me and she just looked at me and then my husband comes up behind me and I said to him don’t interrupt that lady she looks really sad and he said what lady and I said oh she was leaning down on the grave and he said she must’ve gone and I said no she was right there! No one was there 🤷🏼♀️
Hello from the US. I was intrigued by the woman at 2:54 who looked like a entertainer. I discovered that she was actually a French writer. Beautiful location!
Looks like a quilt of lives lived
Thank u so much for this video. It was so beautiful. I am half french and I loved seeing this in France. Again so beautiful
I wish I would of visited that Columbarium when I was in Paris . But you did it for all of us , and that is one of the many reasons why we love you Sue . God bless you & your Husband ,,, Jeff , from USA
Beautiful video
Wow Sue, so many and so organized and clean and secure. Nice to me being a neat freak.
That is a very pretty place clean and with pictures. Thanks for the walk.
This place looks huge 😲. Please be careful. Nice job 👍.❤❤
thank you for taking the time to share this it was beautiful video
That place is huge! I love seeing all the pictures.
This columbariam is very beautiful. I wish there was something like this in South Africa. ❤❤
You so right, in SA it's scary going to a cemetery, lots of vandalism. One can't go on your own. Those days has long gone.
So peacefull, I love the photos, so many charming people in their day. Thank you for sharing. 💕
Great video Sue, and the cemetery was just beautiful. The Columbrian was very beautiful, and thank you so much for sharing.
Such a beautiful view from the upper level!
Most amazing layout and neat place, thank you for sharing
🌟Beautiful place.🌟

What a BEAUTIFUL place!! It's SOOOOOO well looked after too!! I do find all those stairs rather daunting though!!
Thanks for sharing, Sue, as well as braving the myriad of stairs!! XXXX 🤗💗❤👍
Very cool to see the photos from various time frames. Thanks for sharing.
BTW: Nothing to fear it is just people buried there. LOL
Thankyou for sharing this video, such an amazing & beautiful place ❤
Wow. This is fantastic.!! Everything is unique to each person
I wouldn't want to be upstairs either. Nights make me nervous. Thanks for another wonderful view of Paris
Excellent video and you were right to be scared the walkway was held up from underneath . The place is so well kept and peaceful. Thank you for sharing something I would never have seen or known about xx
Beautiful place. Loved seeing those old photos.
Beautiful you wouldn't have got me going up them steps for love or money. Your a brave lady x
I loved Paris, went there long ago...very magical town. Love the new ghost channel, go for it.
Greetings.
Thanks Tom

Well done for braving the stairs 👏 Such a fabulous place the church look stunning shame it was closed..Thanks Sue big hugs 🤗❤
Thank you for showing me around such a Fascinating, Huge and but a little scary wonderland. Love the way most of the tablets are so shiny and the photos of those resting in peace. Safe travels!

Wow! What an interesting place. I’ve never seen anything like it. Thank you, Sue!
Wow! A lot of those headstones sure have a great shine to them, beautiful. Very interesting visiting a cemetery in France. Thanks for all your hard work.
Some of them say such sweet sentiments. ❤
Thank you Sue for sharing this video. Such a beautiful cemetery.
Wow this is fascinating!
Loved Paris
@@SerenitySueGraveyards the architecture!
Thanks for being brave Sue, I wouldn't have wanted to go up to the second level, with it being propped up from below! Lovely railings but very old. Thanks for all you do.
Looks lovley thank u awesome
Very big and very cool❤️
It is very nice place wth all the peoples pictures a very large place
So beautiful there. Thank you Sue! So glad you and GV got to go there and sharing with us.
That was amazing Sue! what a beautiful cemetery thank you 💜

I share your fear of heights but you did it on that narrow paassage with courage-well done! 👍 What a glorious place-thanks for taking us along.🗼
Love the video and plaque
Very Beautiful Interment Buildings as Cemetery Grounds are Immaculately Kept.
My heart dropped when you hit that loose step! I am bad with heights😱 Loved seeing the photos. Very beautiful and large place. Thanks for the tour! (Cathal told us about a loss in your family. Condolences 🙏🏻💐)
This is an outstanding video 👍🏻👍🏻.

And again a very nice vlog! Do you also make a video of all that famous graves, nieces, mausoleums, etc.? That would be awesome!
Bravo, wee Sue ! Celts rule !

Thanks, yes we managed to do all cemeteries here in Paris, montparnasse, Montmartre, Passy, it was an amazing experience

Hi Sue, it looked like the crypts up the stairs were much larger and deeper so they were for a full coffin I take? Looks like an incredible place... very bright and very airy.
One for all, all for one!
Imagine taking the casket up those stairs.
I think that most of the dead interred there have been cremated and are in urns. Maybe those in caskets are on the bottom level. They could have made the walkway upstairs wider. It is too narrow for walking.
Columbarium’s hold cremation urns. Mausoleums hold caskets

I'm not sure to be honest but it's a good point. You're very welcome 🙏
Such a sad ending to isadora duncan she was on a coach drawn by horses and her silk scarf caught in a rear wheel and pulled so tight it broke her neck she was 50 god bless her
Ahh that's so sad
I hate highs .you are braver than me xx🤯
What creeps me out is the array of dead and faded plastic flowers. Someone cared to leave them but no one cared to clean up.
That is so true
❤️💙
I don’t blame you for not wanting to walk up there !! And then to see the braces holding up the second story walkway 😮😮
I was thinking "WOW so many French interned there in Ireland. Then i remembered your in France lol
🧡🇨🇦🧡
Awesome sue did you see the niche of isadora Duncan she was a dancer
What were all those empty and open niches for. They looked quite dirty. Were they pre-used??
Scared why did you get scared sue is it because you were on your own with out GV bless you take care ❤👍
Yes, but also, those steps up were not safe, and the height, too
Your Paris videos have been stunning! Were you creeped out in the catacombs? I never quite understood how there were so many bones and bodies to create them. Very strange to me
The Plague is what caused most of those deaths, I believe.
you couldn’t go into the “cellar”? i heard that was a floor beneath the one that was main one outside, not the crematorium
I thought that maybe the stairs lead to the business end of the crematorium with only staff allowed. It's all so beautiful, a stunning building, columbarium, and gardens.
Endless niches of cremated remains i have my wife on a self in my living room and my mom on a self in my dining room
All these people had a story; lost to humanity, known to God.
Well said
Does anyone else walk around cemeteries and wonder if the other people walking around are really there or it’s only you that can see them?
Oohh now you have me thinking
@@SerenitySueGraveyards well there’s a reason I wonder now cause I was visiting graves and just having a wander and my husband was a little bit further back than me and a lady was squatting down at a grave and as I passed her I said sorry excuse me and she just looked at me and then my husband comes up behind me and I said to him don’t interrupt that lady she looks really sad and he said what lady and I said oh she was leaning down on the grave and he said she must’ve gone and I said no she was right there! @kasie680 oh that's amazing and spooky 👻
I thought cremation wasn't that much popular in those times but some were cremated
Yes, seemly so, there's 100s of them
Jean Moulin is at 12:57
Thank you
That was cool. What was scary?
The heights, I don't like heights
I wodrr why is the word regrets on some of the face plates?
I'm not sure, I've read a few comments like this
@debroahisaacs2452 regrets éternels is an old french expression who was frequently written on graves.
Thanks
It's not PIERRE Lachaise, it's PERE Lachaise, as in Father Lachaise.
Yes, I know now thanks
