Soulive has never made any bones about what they do best; it’s right there in their name. Since forming in 1999, the trio of guitarist Eric Krasno, drummer Alan Evans and keyboardist Neal Evans has carried the torch for the soul-jazz organ trio-that venerable, funky institution pioneered by the likes of Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff and Groove Holmes in the late ’60s. Rest assured, when the Evans brothers first brought Kraz by their Woodstock studio, there was plenty of old vinyl spread out on the floor.

Other worldly, the best I have ever seen.
Sheeshhhhhhhhhhhh that bass solo…my goodness 😭🙌🏿
Help. My face just melted. 🫠 Dang! Too funky!!!
Oteil said what?! This is like listening to a whole new language. So freakin cool!
wild and soulful, extraordinary
How is that I never watched this video??!!!
Oteil is the man!!!
Two sets of two funky brothers
Oteil flies all around the neck...it is one of the most, if not THE most exciting soul jazz/rhythm and blues bass improvisation I ever heard, man. Great Oteil The Super Bass Dynamo! He seals everything, man.
Nasty bass solo !!!
Jazz is NOT dead!
Bow to the masters of FUNK!
Is this a Tower of Power vid?
Sick !
They were really ON that night!
Energizing … came here for Otiel. Love it all
This is just a nice reminder that Brother's Brother album between The Evans and Burbridge's still needs to happen!
Performance Mondiale ….Vi Adoro ❤❤❤
other level. omg
Need to have the full cut of this (With Kofi's solo)
Unglaublich gute Jungs ❤
Geeeeezzzz bass
Oteil crushed it !!!
Woow
Oteil sporting a MMW shirt!
This reminds me of a RTF song but is probably a mid ‘60s song with Jackie jazz stylings
RIP Kofi
🔥 🔥 🔥
where is the BASS in the mix ?
George Basson?
RIP, Kofi
who is drumming? He does not look like the regular Soulive drummer. This guy has the fusion chops!
That is and always has been the Soulive drummer Alan Evans. He rocked the big ‘do back in the day.
@@lokijam well he's playing exceptionally well that night! He's hitting triples where he usually hits doubles.
Patrick Moore u may be right, i’m not a drummer, but i’ve watched the man play for 20 years now and his snare work is as good as anyone.
Kofi RIP and Oteil.
I mean... 😮
Caught the holy ghost!
Strange, but funky.
Oteil is what George Benson wishes he could be.
Oteil reppin’ MMW while destroying the planet.
The level of ear training...
Isaac Temple mine are finely tuned
Isaac Temple definitely not easy listening
