Not many reviews on this particular expression out there, but I was very pleasantly surprised with it.
Wow Alan that's a high score! We got a bottle with a group of friends and tried this together but none of us connected with it. Just didn't enjoy it but hey that's the palate for you. Cheers Alan glad you liked it!
Same here. It sounded great on paper, but I thought it was a dud.
I’m a huge palo cortado fan. Check out uncharted whisky up in Fintry. They’ve a new palo cortado on, I haven’t tried but their last one was excellent.

Glad to hear this review - I got this bottle when it first arrived here, but haven’t opened yet! I had a great trip to Islay and Campbeltown in August. Since I am back, i have been buying fewer bottles - but spending more on premium drinkers - hope all is well
I was a huge fan of Glenmorangie when I first got into whisky, I used to collect the Private Edition series. However, towards the end of the Private Ed series (the Spios) I found they started to go downhill. The next series "A Tale of..." I gave up on, a Tale of Winter was ok, but I didn't like A Tale of Cake so I stayed away from A Tale of the Forest and wont bother with the upcoming A Tale of Tokyo. Regarding this Palo Cortado one... I was so sad because I really didn't get along with it, it seemed artificial somehow. I gave my bottle away to someone who did enjoy it though. That's a great thing about whisky, you will likely find someone who enjoys a whisky you don't like.

Alan, good tasting notes. Gotta say the Arran Masters of Distilling II in Palo Cortado is a bit too flavorful for me, maybe too much clove? Will revisit now that Fall is here. CHEERS!
think that arran is my favourite 12....loving the Palo Cortado...next one up is another Palo Cortado too watch this space...you well fella?

Really hate the new labelling cheap nasty looking . I've got the 14 in dark green and original labelling and thinking of keeping it for years .folk will value the original soon.
