Lived in Australia where Kinesio Tape is used for several treatments. In the US I've run into "pt's" who didn't believe in it. Red flag. This video is the missing part for my treatment. Thank you.

This is good information to know. I didn't realize you could use that tape. Thank you.

I developed unexplained lymphedema in my right leg during pregnancy (it’s not primary). Swelling has reduced dramatically after lots of treatment and daily compression and now it’s only my toes, foot, ankle and lower calf that swell. A year on and I’m still in a class 3 compression sock and monthly physio treatments. After lots of trial and error I started using kinesiology tape to wrap my toes and it works sooo much better than any toe cap I’ve ever used. I’ve also experimented with wrapping my whole foot and ankle with k tape like I would with bandages (being sure not to cause any turnication). It obviously doesn’t provide as much compression as bandages or garments but it’s nice to do on days when I want to fit my foot into a pair of sandals that I can’t fit into when wearing garments, while helping to reduce any lymph buildup while taking a break from garments. This is just my personal experience 😊

Kelly, this video is wonderful. I appreciate your work bec I’m more involved in my care & have another tool in addition to compression & ready-wraps.

Thank you for this information. But, a contrasting tape would be much easier to see.

Thank you for this video! May need hip replacement on lymphedema leg - would this tape help until I’m able to wear nylon or Relax garment?
    Thanks for your thoughts.

Ive never heard about this treatment 😮 can someone please direct me to the clinical evidence of it effectiveness?
It looks like localised strapping that's created with with Açtico short stretch bandage after compression. 😮.
Question: shouldnt it be in the opposite direction, in the direction to the heart and pulled up instead of down to help with flow? Is lymph strapping different from leg ulcer strapping? Thanks for responding.
Im new at this so kindly bear with me.

Lymph taping is completely different to ordinary strapping. Trust this highly qualified and experienced PT to know what she is showing is correct, and evidence-based. Google is your friend: there is plenty of clinical evidence for the efficacy of taping in both lymphoedema and kinesthetic support for injuries.
