People from north america will never appreciate KOF as us from latin america. KOF is a religion here and we didn't have to watch any tutorial to learn difficult combos. We just destroyed those arcade machines trying and trying back in the 90s; especially with KO98

The characters and animation looks several Generarions old and out of place and the level design is bad. kof Hasn't been decent since 12. They mite as well had made the graphics 2d like the older games.

Imo the lack of a story mode isn’t really a con. MVCI and SFV proved that focussing on a story mode is a really bad idea compared to refining gameplay, which SNK has done. Great review tho

If you have a ps4, get the kof 14 demo so you can have a nice approach to the series, this isn't for everyone, specially on line battles which are quite difficult for amateurs.

Sounds like this reviewer had trouble performing a slightly hard special & got frustrated. I've played the beta & the game runs smooth so once again I'm gonna ignore this guy & get this game.

Ign gave KOF 14 an 8 years ago. KOF 15 has improved everything over 14. It deserves a 9 for rollback netcode, healthy roster, improved mechanics and graphics. The announcement of Team Garou and Team Southtown gives this game more momentum. With the exception of KOF 12, SNK always gives us a complete game at launch.
Was looking for this comment, well said... this game deserves nothing less than a 9. So some of the end cutscenes have 2d animations... many fighting games use that style, nothing wrong with it as it's not a story driven game at it's core. The reviewer did ok, but still unneccessary nitpicking on irrelevant things.

Kof lore is one of the greatest lore that any other fighting game has but it's not shown like the modern-day games like mk11 or other if snk worked on Kof getting cutsences and other side stories to the game that would be a banger
The characters have similar combo routes that do high damage, and the movement is very homogenized, so once you learn the fundamentals, you will probably be able to play comfortably
Its crap and an excuse to be lazy and put less content into the game. Its just a still picture with text...don't make excuses or SNK won't get better...the lack of modes tells all.
@@Fate862 You must not know how older KoF games used to operate their endings. This is what takes the cake though, "Lack of Modes", don't speak about something that you clearly have *no knowledge about*. KoF XV has a decent size of modes in comparison to most modern fighting games today.

SFV is from 2016, same as that KOF14 with thos PS2 graphics.

It's a pretty easy game to get into and has a lot of beginner friendly characters
Avoid playing Angel at all costs, unless you're a pretty seasoned fighting game veteran. Other than her, most characters are new players friendly.
