I agree! And I did this for years and did make money. I've always had multiple streams of income while working a full time job. Granted my job was flexible and gave me time and opportunity to source and ship while working. Not many people have that luxury but if I could make a buck or two on an item, I bought it. I wasn't greedy and it added up...A LOT over the years. I did have a house/garage full of junk though and not everyone can tolerate that. I'm cleaning it out room by room now and am enjoying the freed up space. Different times of your life you want different things. When I was younger and had more energy, I didn't mind the mess. Now I'm craving order and less chaos lol!
I Love watching you and your wife. Your attitude is wonderful enjoy each moment. You bring back memories of being young and enjoying this adventure. You will find many treasures just believe. Im 65 years young a widow of 15 years now. You bring a smile with laughter . This is only the begining of your Journey. Enjoy. Thank you.
If you're watching Josh's pallet video's and hating on them, do yourself a huge favor. Don't quit your day job to do this. Seriously, I'd hate to think of someone getting into this line of work and not have the basic knowledge that this IS the job. 90%+ of what we do is this, just on a smaller scale, and worse ROI ;) Keep on Keepin It Real Josh!
The cloth rack you thought was for magazines is a knitting and crocheting bag. It looked new and the are not cheap. The side pockets hold your needles, sizzors, and patterns. Yarn in the bottom.
Fishing dork here, can save you a little bit of research time. The lure you speculated was probably saltwater is a saltwater lure. I think made by Rapala. The long wooden one is, I think, a version of the Smithwick Devil's Horse without the propellers that are typically on the front and back (not a flaw, I think they manufactured some that way). The thin fins are still in production, so possibly not as valuable as they should be. The big blue feathery thing is a deep sea trolling lure. Those "flies" are actually feather jigs. The lures to the right of the feather jigs are probably Rapala jointed minnows. The ones to the right of those are likely to be Rapala original floating minnows. Rapala stuff holds its value. Great finds, jealous as both a reseller and a fisherman.
The recipe book could be a greatvsale!!! Vintage recipes. Yes, there is value in it! Ask Paper and Moose Renee. She will set you straight, and possibly ask.for it.
Vintage cookbooks can be worth some money. Some people also love grandmas handwritten recipes maybe lot it together for a special collection of vintage recipes. It might sit for awhile but it would sell to the right person imo.
Josh the Juliette model Multiplex Am/Fm system looks like it is for 8 track tapes. You can tell by the 1,2,3,4 above the slot in the front. Popular in the 70's. They are worth some money if working. Your model is a lower end brand but since 8 track players are hard to find you might get your pallet money back with just this item.
Seems to be a lot of people into knitting in SC. I would check and see what the top of the line needles look like and how much they are worth since you run into them so often.
Yo, make sure you check the back of every painting or art piece, a lot of people hide valuables in them. Also, another great spot to check is, if you get furniture check under the bottom, in between drawers, and crevices, yada yada. I've found so many things when I bought storage units. Keep up the great work!! I love these videos. I can't stop watching them.
that fold out thing/bag is actually a project holder for knitting/crocheting..you keep all your yarn/needles/hooks together and you can generally carry them from one spot to another and your project is all kept together..sell it with you yarns..
Hey mate that tape cassette box with the orange lining would be worth selling on ebay its really cool and tape cassette boxes are hard to find like that. Would be worth a fair bit. I collect tapes would love it but live all the way in Australia. Really enjoying these pallets videos keep them coming!
Love these videos- Can’t wait to see the rest of the pallets! I don’t think that pallet was a dud. Some vintage items there you just might not see it’s value and those cassette tapes would probably surprise you! I have a vintage music shop and see MUCH more value in the recorded music tapes than the blank tapes. I think the goodwill pallets are a vintage sellers dream.
You are the real MVP today. The idea of the screen for pics. I sold a 10 foot manual one last week and my hubby said we have another one and it's like 8 ft but electric! I know what I'll be having him do this weekend 😁.
Liberty House! Wow, I was just transported back 40 + years. My mom used to shop there. I believe it was a precursor to Frederick & Nelson and Mervyn's department stores. That's vintage!
I LOVE (and miss) thrifting!!! I hardly ever buy new~ part of the fun is the hunt and for that price, you just can't beat it, even if it were just entertainment for yourself. I just found your channel and I really enjoy and appreciate your energy❣❣❣ Thanks❣
The Black case with the cassette tapes actually looked just like an 8 track tape holder case that dad has. If so it's definitely vintage late 70s early 80s. I only saw it for a split second so I couldn't tell for sure. You can find out by seeing if its a perfect fit for a cassette tape if its not and it's bigger than a cassette tape if you have an 8 track try and see if it fits. Vintage 8 track case might sell better than vintage cassette tape case.
The Coach bag appears to be part of a purse set, hence the buttons on the back where it would snap inside the larger purse. That's also why the authenticity tag is on the exterior of the bag, since snapping it into place in the larger purse would put the tag at the interior back wall location that you'd typically expect to see it at.
FTI old handwritten recipes and vintage clothing sell for good money on Ebay...I love watching you and your wife unpack the bins to find "treasures" and the fact that you are local is an added perk
This channel is my new obsession. My hubby and I are resellers, too. We live in Ohio and I so wish we had Goodwill pallets! You are so down to earth and real. Your wife and I share the same enthusiasm of looking through the pallets. I am so jealous.
Loved the projector screen idea. I have one collecting dust and was recently needed to list some garage inventory and didn't want to haul it all in to my house! Solution found.
It is very sad but that's one of the things I love about being a vintage collector and reseller. We find homes for these things that would have otherwise ended up in the landfill.
Great point....When my Ex and i were going through her Grandmothers house after everyone had chosen items left to the family, there was this little metal recipe box on the counter? I ask her, 'Did no one else ask for her recipes'? Wow...she took them and we enjoyed Numerous great meals she used to make us : )
Sadly what one generation cherishs changes with each one that follows. My great grandmother (who was extremely progressive for her time) had it placed that her recipes would go to me. How many of today’s generation, or even that of one or two before that, would even give a thought to placing something like that in a will?
I have a friend who took her moms and typed them all up and printed them out on nice paper. She took them to Kinkos and had them made into spiral bound cook books like the churches make. She made a copy for family members and they loved them. Had her moms pict on the front.
I'm learning too! There are some incredibly knowledgeable people out there and it is so kind of them to take their time to tell me what these items are.
Josh, I would buy a pallet in a heartbeat! Besides the thrill of what you may find, everything adds up to make it worth your while financially. I bought someone's yard sale lot at the beginning of the pandemic and quadrupled my money and still have stuff listed on ebay. Cheers!
Love this new series very interesting. Wish my local goodwill were selling these if be buying them all up also. Won my first pallet today and going to unbox it also. Have fun, hope for big profits for all.
I live in Columbia and I am always looking for the old books, cookbooks, vintage kids books... especially those in kinda bad condition. Those can make $ in crafting groups.
Your videos are interesting and it's great to see what is sold and your honesty about losses. Everybody had to learn. Also. IKEA bags are the best! I can carry about 8 loads of laundry at a time.
YES The coach is real. It goes inside a large travel tote. The part you have is a toiletry bag. It snaps on inside the coach tote. Alone it will probably sell for around $10.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but those glasses are for Prudential. I’ve worked for them for over 26 years and can spot the Rock of Gibraltar from 100 feet away...lol. Thanks for the videos. John
the one thing that you thought was a magazine holder is also used for people who are Knitters they put their yarn and their knitting needles in there and they can take it with them
Honestly, I think those black & white photographs could be Spring Park in Green Cove Springs, Florida. That looks like the same original gazebo (it's recently been updated & renovated) & the St. John's River in the background
I just come across watching your videos about a month ago; and I enjoyed watching them very much. Those gold & black glasses are from the 1960's with 22K gold leaf design by Fred Press and they worth lots of money. Did you sell them yet? I know this video was made over a year ago. Like a said, I began to watch your channel about a month ago. Good luck!!!
At 14:00 - The "plastic plate" is probably Couroc, which sometimes does well on ebay. I think I saw a Libby mark (script L) on the bottom of one of the gold glasses at the very end.
I love your videos of you going through Goodwill pallets. I asked our local GWs if they would sell pallets; they both said no - and one even said that he would have to charge me $100 just for the pallet and Gaylord. Bummer.

I do reselling myself here in norway and things worth alot here are trash to you and things worth alot for you are trash here 🤣🤣🤣
I personally would sell the whole tackle box one shot just cause I wouldn't wanna be stuck with a few lures, hooks or whatevers leftover. I would also double check if lures or hooks have any corrosion. GL! Nice vid!
suggestion..block together any old looking paper/books/magazines/scrap-booking stuff..you'll find a market for ALL that with 'Junk journallers'..we love old books that we can tear apart and use in making junk journals..craft stuff, lace/ribbon/string, WHATEVER..good luck..
All that old paper ephemera is a junk journaler dream. I pay about £5 for a bag if just general vintage paper but if specific I would pay a little more. I paid £10 just for a vintage French fashion magazine. There are loads of junk journal folk in the states. So don’t throw away paper. Find that market could be useful for future finds. Just a thought. High from UK
I loved this I have heaps of respect for you because you love the process and overall this pallet wasn’t as good as the others but the tackle box was the best thing from it. You’re definitely still making profit on this pallet and the lamp is super cool! People pay top dollar for the vintage lamps now so you should do well with that at least $50, love your videos keep it up 👍🏻 keen as a bean for the rest of these videos!! About to go hop over to the interview with prime time treasure hunter now 🙌🏻🙏🏻 God bless you man
"Go watch Storage Wars" Laughing out loud at that! This is why I watch you! Real life and no scripting!
Liberty house was a Dept store in hawaii. Thats a vintage Muumuu Hawaiian dress. I was born and raised in hawaii. Aloha
I just watched the video and wanted to get on here to let him know to do some research on that dress
It's a nice dress
To the people who said these are junk, “IN YA FACE” just like the tent lady!!!! Great videos man, I’ve been enjoying them all
I dont care what anyone else thinks...I admire your energy and am having a blast watching..
I'm with you!
I love his videos!
I love watching the videos as well something about watching this makes me feel awesome knowing I could make money of if items like that
I enjoy your videos and energy!

It keeps me up at night not knowing what I may have not seen. Would force me to look up every single one of those cassette tapes! XD
Just FYI... that wasn’t a magazine rack, it was a knitting or crochet bag to hold yarn and needles. 👍🏻
You beat me to it! Worth at least $5-$10. If it is vintage and hand stitched, maybe more. Looks like the one my grandmother had. in the 70s.
@@VannaWhiteboard My grandmother had one too
I caught myself talking out loud trying to tell him that while watching the video. Lol

The tent hadn't been used because it was broke by them! Good fix! I think these bins are so cool. Just found you a couple of weeks ago and glad I did.
Although the pallet was "lackluster", it was very "real". Thanks for sharing Josh! Hopefully you find some more good stuff in the next one!

Boarder for a flower bed, or veggie garden. Decorative boarder fence 👍
The glass with gold...check for George Briard signature. The magazine holder is a knitting or crochet basket.
Lol ya bombed out on that pallet! Got some ok stuff . Got your money back on the tackle box for sure. GOOD LUCK !!
its hard to believe you got everything you did, and even harder to think people said it wasn’t enough. great video!

That wooden coaster set is a great EBay item.
Makes me sad that there wasn’t one family member who cared enough to save that woman’s recipes & pass them down.

So funny at "ancient Chinese artifacts". I love how straightforward and genuine you are.
Yarn holder and knitting and crochet fold up bag. Very common item for crafters but if it's vintage it's worth more.

FYI, look up the "ugly" Liberty House dress, some are vintage and worth a good amount $50-100 to the right person...
EXACTLY! Vintage clothing can bring high dollar and when I sold it the ugliest brought the bigger dollars.
I would sell that old dry cleaner hanger too 🤑
