    Great work and great video. I'm restoring a 1955. Your voice is really soothing. You sound just like Henry Fonda

      I don’t think I’ve ever been compared to Henry Fonda. I’ll take it! Thanks!

      I know what you mean. It’s not the most glamorous work, but once we get this out of the way, then we can move on to the fun stuff!

    If you had to do over, would you buy the same channels.? If not where would you buy them from? I got a 70 bug & have to do the same. Thank you. Very informative!!

    Great video. I remember one of your videos showed how to adjust/bend the hinges with a hammer. Do you know what video that was as I need to do the same but I want to do it right.

      Thanks! The video you’re looking for is Curt’s Bug Part 12. Thats the one where we pre adjusted things before removing the old heater channel.

      @@The2CarGarage Perfect, thanks for that. Mine currently has a very small gap at the front top hinge and a bigger gap at the front bottom hinge. I am trying to figure out the best way to even that gap and also fix the door sag!

      @The2CarGarage  2 года назад

      It’s a old Lincoln Weld-Pak 100. Running 0.023 wire for thin stuff and 0.030 for everything else. 75/25 gas.

    Can I ask what gauge sheet metal you used

    • @The2CarGarage
      @The2CarGarage  3 года назад

      We used pre-formed replacement panels. They measure out to about 20 gauge.
