Maybe my favourite game of 2013. It was the first in a while to recapture the age-old joys of running, jumping and collecting stuff, and it maintained fashionable cinematic prowess while doing so. Lara Croft couldn't have asked for a better reinvention.
So, so much fun! I loved this game I think you will too! Lara is an iconic character and such a wonderful strong role model 🤩
A role model who kills animals for their skins and shoots 100s of people throughout the series lol

Fair enough. We got a new Tomb Raider game on the horizon. ;) And this reboot trilogy is definitely worth investing. But yes, this is an origin reboot story. This was originally released on PS3, and was one of the best looking games. It certainly was a big deal upon release.
So glad that you're enjoying the game! The entire trilogy is amazing. The graphics, puzzles, crafting, stories, and man... using the bow is so satisfying. And best of all, Lara Croft is so 🔥😍

Hey i was watching your channel a while back but lost the connection when you were playing older games. It got recommended again with your andromeda series and im rlly glad it did since i enjoy watching a lot. Those 3 tombraider games are good light and actionpacked entertainment to come.
I actually just played and beat this game a couple years back. Blew my mind and made me remorse what I missed out on in 2013.

This was my first PS4 game I bought along with my console years ago. I played through this one and part 2 and had fun with them both. It is jarring though hearing them drop F-bombs and showing gory deaths, I went into this thinking it would be Uncharted series levels of killing

I somewhat recently did another run of this trilogy on my Series X (originally played on PC when they each released). Still awesome games. You're in for a real treat, especially with 2 and 3.
Cant beleive this game is almost 10 yrs old. I remember playing it back on the PS3 being in awe of the graphics (and how hot Lara was 😍🤣) and it still holds up well today.
Looking forward to this series. These and uncharted games are classics.
Dragon Age... I'd be satisfied with you reacting to some lore videos on the first two games and maybe playing DA Inquisition. That would be plenty to prepare for DA4 and I think you'd enjoy Inquisition more than 1 and 2. It plays more like The Witcher or something like that.
That said, I really enjoyed the Tomb Raider series. I look forward to this. I may even re-download them myself. I just (finally) started Red Dead 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 though. Time is short.

Yay! Mia paying Tomb Raider! This is an awesome trilogy. They make Lara British, when traditionally she's American, but that doesn't take away from the story at all. In fact that builds an actual backstory for her. This really is on par with Uncharted but it doesn't get enough recognition, damn shame
She's always been English even the older games

Tomb Raider must be the best franchise reboot I can think of, and every sequel has been great.
Can't agree with you, I enjoyed the first one, but then it goes completely downhill with boring, empty locations, clunky combat mechanics, senseless story and too much grind... I'd say stick with classic TR games and go for Uncharted for modern TR-like adventures.

30:35 Having climbed Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), got to say this made me laugh. Honestly if you want to get to the top you can jsut take the tourist train and have an ice cream with the 6 yr old kids and 80 yr old Nannas on top. I mean otherwise it's a 6-8 hr hike up and down but it's not exactly difficult.
Good games, just make sure before you leave a hunting ground get all the resources and upgrade your gear.
I just recently got back onto this game about a week ago & my game was pausing like yours was doing. It was also doing the same thing with on the follow up Rise Of The Tomb Raider as well
Go into your options & see if you can find the voice commands & turn that off, that seems to fix it from what I heard

So. Not really impaled. But, yeah. There was no spikes. I noticed it very quick. So imagine getting you’re finger being squeezed by the door being shut on you’re fingers. Not really impaling more like pressure. Which could be bad

This was the first "Tomb Raider" game I ever played and I loved it. Lara Croft's character model in this game is beautiful. I'll never understand why they changed it for the next couple of games.
The changed it in this game too. Her face on the Xbox 360 version was a lot different from this one. The reason they changed it in the sequels was to look more like the voice actor Carmilla Ludington.
In the 2013 Tomb Raider, Megan Farquhar was used as the face model. However, for Rise and Shadow they used a face based on the voice actress Camilla Luddington.
@@gregpeacock5497 There were two different faces. One for the 360/ps3 version and one for the X1/ps4 versions.
Thia game always triggers my claustrophobia, but is still a great game to play.

Here is a thing you could try to stop the weird controller actions go Into options controller and lower the vibration 📳 rumble function that worked for me
This game was the beginning of a whole new rebooted world of Tomb Raider with this new Lara Croft being sort of an amateur.

Psyched for this. I'm an old-school Tomb Raider fan, but this 2013 entry is one of my favorite games (the sequels, not so much, but I like Shadow.) Mia, I'm curious as to why you chose Horizon to downsize. I haven't been watching because I don't want to spoil the game, but it's still pretty expensive, so I'm curious if you're finding it underwhelming?
I saw her mention in a comment that she isn't gonna continue posting Horizon videos simply because it's not doing well on the channel. I imagine that might be because there are others who also aren't watching because they don't want to spoil it for themselves. Hopefully she'll still finish the game in her free-time though, because it's amazing and she needs to experience it.

@@Seth-fg4ho You're welcome, but it's not an older game. She was referring to Horizon Forbidden West, which was just released a couple of months ago. It's a great game, as is Horizon Zero Dawn. If you have yet to play either game, I highly recommend both of them.

I know this comment is a year old LOL but I'm bringing this up now because the remaster just came out. Imagine if they were to reimagine the first 3. Like full fleshed out story. Semi open world. Kinda like this one. I'd buy those in a heartbeat. But I'd also buy anything tomb raider wise. Hurry with the next game crystal dynamics please.
