I started with an Azure beauty kit a year ago! Still some of the smoothest powders out of all the brands I've tried. I don't care for how narrow the containers are though lol but once I transferred them to different containers it was on and poppin! 😂😂
That's crazy how good the powders are and also so great that you are doing these videos so that way people can afford to dip their nails. Might have to invest in the liquids💖
Thank you so much for the feedback 🥰 I certainly understand how expensive it can be when you’re just starting out or can’t afford a salon 💖 please let me know what you think if you try out the liquids 🙌🏼
My experience with this brand is that I have to do that second activator step after filing and buffing. I started using it following the instructions and I always had trouble with the top coat not drying until I watched a video that mentioned the necessity of that second activator step. Now I do it that way and have no issues.

It’s definitely worth a shot now that you’ve tried new products and techniques 🫶🏻 some dip powders + liquids are less dense/thinner than others so it’s possible you need more layers. I’d definitely suggest trying to add more layers or building up an apex too 💖

The azure liquids are slow drying? Like slow enough to use loose glitter and do clean up? Also which kit is better out of beetles, azure, and models one?
They are definitely slow drying ! I had no issues with feeling rushed and had plenty of time to clean up. I haven’t tried them with loose glitter but if you do, please let me know how it goes 💗 out of the 3 I’d probably have to put my money on the 2 in 1 azure. I also just bought modelones’ 2 in 1 to test out. I believe they’re sister companies so I’ll be reviewing it soon 🥰
ETA: I have never had this product crack or lift. My manicures have lasted at least 2 weeks. At that point, my nails have grown out enough that I'm changing color. I started with Azure a few months ago after trying whatever Dip powder walmart sold a couple of years ago. I hated dip Manis when I tried the Walmart stuff. I LOVE my nails now that I use Azure. My third kit just arrived an hour ago, and I can't wait to get home from work to change my color.
Just found your channel and been binge watching. Just got my first dip manicure at a salon a few weeks ago and loving it because it keeps me from ripping my nails which I have a bad habit of doing from anxiety fidgeting. Haven't seen this answered in other vids so sorry if you did, but curious as to 1) is the reason for buffing before top coat just to make sure it's flat and smooth? I don't remember salon doing that to my nails and they look great so was curious - I may have just forgotten cause they were super fast. 2) How do you clean your brushes between manicures so the color doesn't stay on them?
I use a different brand of kit-Kiara Sky. It comes with a bottle called “Brush Saver.” It’s a good cleaner. I have no idea about your other question. Sorry. 😊
Ohhh that’s tricky!! It’s been so long since I’ve used modelones liquids like over a year. I only got to try modelones in the little travel sizes too so I don’t know if that’s a fair fight 😆 if I had to, I’d pick these 2 in 1 because it’s less products to take up space and full size. But if modelones has a 2 in 1 I’d totally try it!
I have a question and I hope you see this. I live your DIY reviews. I started to do my own nails and wanted to try this kit. So I want to know If I stay within the Azurebeauty brand, do you think I could use those liquids with any of their powders?
@@SipAndDip my husband is an over the road truck driver. So we are headed to California. Any plans for you? I bring my nail stuff with me so I’ll be doing them either tomorrow or Sunday ❤️
I just ordered it!!! SO excited 😍😍 What do you have underneath the first layer? As in: What products do I need to get to start off using this set? I watched a LOT of your videos haha but I’m struggling to figure out what it is I need extra.. like a base and or nail dehydrator?
What is your opinion of 2-in-1 systems overall, compared to traditional systems where the liquids are separate and there are more steps? Even within the same brand, traditional Azure compared to their 2-in-1? Do you like them more for beginners and/or for those who aren’t interested in stocking up on a bunch of inventory or do you see someone like yourself moving in this direction or gravitating towards 2-in-1 systems?
This was the brand I started with. Mine was much more expensive though, and it was 5 liquids-included a bond, separate top and base and a brush saver. The literal only thing I did not like was the clear that did come with it. It’s a grainy one. But I was very happy with the liquids!
So happy you tried them out! I tried out a similar kit from this brand over a year ago and it had the little travel size set of liquids. So I was pleasantly surprised to see some full size liquids 🙌🏼 it’s so tricky finding good clears 😭💖
Hi Jessica!! Thank you so much! 💗💗 I use peel base on my natural nails. It allows for easy pop off removal of dip powder and zero acetone soaking. Only downfall is it usually only allows the dip powder to last a few days. So mine lasts anywhere from 2-5 days before they pop off. It works for my filming schedule but is definitely not great if you want the manicure to last 💗
What size containers did you get? I received my kits and it is 0.33 oz or 10g i'm not sure if that is full size or not it seems a bit on the small side to me. However it did come with 20 color choices so maybe it will last a long time. Thank you.
Great question! So you could use a 180 grit across the entire top surface. I would just be extra careful to go across the entire surface until it’s smooth so that your top coat isn’t gritty/rough. My buffing blocks are 150 grit 😌
Thank you so much. I purchased two other Azure beauty kits because of your review and extra liquid and brushes. They came in yesterday and I tried it out today. Being new at using dip powder the slower dry time was definitely for me! Very happy and pleased! Thanks again!
How long does it honestly last? I ordered nail boo and still waiting for it and now I came across this channel, which is so awesome. So, I purchased Bettles yesterday but now I see this video LOL now I dont know which one to really use. But for the price of bettles, I am just trying it first. More like to start practicing. I just wanted to know how long they last. Thanks!
Hiii welcome to our little dip community 🫶🏻 longevity comes down to prep. So properly prepping your nails will ensure them to last weeks. Also making sure you have enough strength (layers of dip powder) for your nail length and lifestyle is important. Once you find what works best for you, they’ll last weeks 🥰
Hi, love your videos. I’m living abroad currently and because of that I have a limited amount of dip systems to choose from. Do you have any thoughts on Elisium Diamond, Gelish or Kabos?
I”m first DIY dips and your video was so helpful thank you I have short nails and got some dip color on the top of my finger. What is the best way to get it off so I do not mess up my dip manicure? I also new subbie. I have struggle to find what is best for my nails. I do not like going to salons. TFS Awesome
Hi Martha!! Welcome to our little dip community! So just so I’m understanding, you got some of the product on your skin and want to get it off without ruining your manicure on your nails? Or are you asking how to remove the dip manicure on your nails? Just want to make sure I’m understanding 🥰💗
Oh yes sorry. I have very short nails and while doing my manicure I got bonding and dip powder on the top of my finger after dipping finger into powder. I do not want to mess up my manicure. What is the best way to get that off the top of my finger without messing up mani? Also what e-file would you recommended? You are right this is the best my nails have looked. I have tried everything too. New loyal follower. Blessing
Yayyy! Can’t wait to hear what you think!! So the shine that you see is called peel base. It’s a product that I paint on my nails so I can “pop” the dip powder off within 1-3 days. It lets me avoid acetone and keep up with content. Only downfall is the manis only last like a day 😮💨🙈
You have a few options for matte! 1. After the second activator step, just stop! That will leave a matte look 2. Finish the entire manicure. Then buff off the shine and apply another layer of activator. This will give more strength 3. Apply nail polish matte top coat on top I hope this helps 💕💕
Hello I love your videos! They are so educational. I usually can’t stand the videos when the person talks too much but yours I could listen all day. I do have a question. You mentioned that this was a slow base. But when I read the instructions with the kit that I received(which is one of the ones you suggested). The instructions state that the base is fast dry.
💖💖💖 thank you so much for your kind feedback! So technically speaking, all bases are “fast” drying in the sense that they’ll dry on their own. I believe that the amazon companies list that so you know to dip into the dip powder immediately after applying it to the nail. Basically, don’t apply the base liquid and walk away or it’ll dry 😆 but in comparison of how quickly the base dries with other brands that I’ve used, I find it to be slower drying. I can tell this by after dipping into the powder I am still able to clean around my cuticle area before the powder hardens. I also noticed that after dipping into the powder the nail was still shiny and wet looking which also means it’s slower drying. When that happens all you have to do is dip back into the powder so it can absorb into the liquid. It comes down to personal preference truly when it comes to dry time. I like to suggest slower ones for the new faces so they don’t feel rushed 💖 hope this helps!
Ive been using their top coat over Triple vitamin liquids, for years. I havent tried the rest of the line. I never do a second l!yee of activator snd I never have a problem.

@@kathydittmer9659 I totally understand! It really is a happy medium of too much and too little. Have you tried the pour over method? I shared more about it in a recent vid (I’ll link below in case) 🫶🏻 My TOP 10 TIPS for a flawless dip powder manicure at home ruclips.net/video/fiRXfcm9zPw/видео.html
Hi Emily! The top coat does require 2 layers. So after the first layer, wait about a minute. Then apply the second! I find if you leave a little more on your brush it can give it a shinier more “gel” look! 💗
Hi there! 🥰 It’s been quite a while since I’ve used modelones liquids but I would say they’re comparable from what I remember! From what I’ve heard they are sister companies of Azure. I have only tried modelones travel size liquids so it’s difficult to fairly judge or compare to this set. Maybe I’ll give Modelones kits a try soon! It’s been quite awhile since I last played with their products! 🥰
Hey! I'm new to dipping. I have the beetles dip powder set. Is there a set/brand that you recommend? I'm not having any luck with the beetles dip powder set. It only lasts a day before it starts chipping.
So sorry to hear that! 💖 I love the beetles kit and this one featured in the video 🥰 Let’s see if we can figure out this chipping! Is it at the corners of your nails? How many dip powder layers are you doing? 💖
@@cynthiamcevoy8164 thanks for the info! 💖 I would maybe try adding another layer of dip powder! It could be that your nail shape and lifestyle needs a little extra strength. Other than making sure to really cap off the free edge with the top coat 🙌🏼 I had square nails for years so I definitely understand the struggle 😆 it’s one for the reasons I switched to round 🙈😆
It’s totally optional 🫶🏻 it varies on your nail length and lifestyle. With this length, I don’t find it necessary. If someone has longer nails or hard on their hands then they may want to build an apex with clear dip powder. Overall, it will vary based on lifestyle and personal preference. I don’t find that I need the extra bulk
@@SipAndDip oh great!! 👏🏻👏🏻I’m excited to try these …hopefully it will help me cut down on how long it takes me to finish a mani lol. I’m just getting started and find it to be such a long process! (Totally worth it though)

Oh no I can't find the shades! 😭 hope they bring it back! I love Amazon sets for basics. I'd rather support small businesses for the more specialized dips. Gonna buy this kit as soon as they bring it back!
That’s a great question 💖 I have been doing dip nails at home for a few years and have tried lots of different brands, some good and some bad. From my own experience, I find that as long as you find a prep routine that works for your nail chemistry and lifestyle & have enough dip powder layers, the manicure will last. Chipping can occur from being really hard on your nails too. So usually if I hear someone’s having a chipping issue I suggest adding another layer of dip powder for strength. I also suggest to cap off the free edge really well with the base + top coat. Chipping typically happens at the corners of the nails so by adding a better seal at the free edge, it can help protect it longer 🥰 sometimes the fix to a manicure issue can be solved during application and prep 💖

Yayyy! So happy to hear this! Thank you for sharing your update and experiences 🫶🏻
Thank you so much for your video and your honest opinion!! Nice to know diyers have options.
Just bought a 20 pack kit and notice two of the colors are blended, looks like marble! Cannot wait to try it.
Ahhh yayyy! That sounds beautiful!!
So do you like the Beetles dip better or this one?? You loved the beetles one before.... which one do you like better??
I would definitely vote for this Azure 2 in 1!
This was my first dip powder brand purchase as well...Love how fluffy the powders are!
Ahhh really?! Did it have the 2 in 1 liquids or their normal full set? 💖
Azure was my first kit as well! So easy to use, I’ve stayed with Azure.
I can see why you love it! 🫶🏻
Sorry. 😊
Can i use this kit with paper forms? My nails are short and i want more length
Are the liquids better than modelones? How do they compare?
Ohhh that’s tricky!! It’s been so long since I’ve used modelones liquids like over a year. I only got to try modelones in the little travel sizes too so I don’t know if that’s a fair fight 😆 if I had to, I’d pick these 2 in 1 because it’s less products to take up space and full size. But if modelones has a 2 in 1 I’d totally try it!
@@SipAndDip thanks! I ordered the modelones one a few days ago and cant wait to try!
So I just put on my first set of these. I used tips. So far, really liking the ease of this kit. So, could I use these liquids with other dip powders?
Absolutely! I mix and match liquids with different brand powders all of the time 🥰 so happy you’re loving your kit! 💖
I just got this a couple weeks ago. I haven't used it yet. Thanks for sharing.
I love Azure! Nodding! Your nails are very swoon~arific!!! :) Have a great week!!!
I have a question and I hope you see this. I live your DIY reviews. I started to do my own nails and wanted to try this kit. So I want to know If I stay within the Azurebeauty brand, do you think I could use those liquids with any of their powders?
Absolutely! You can mix and match liquid brands with other dip powder brands too! 🥰 happy dipping! 🫶🏻
Hey Chel’s. Happy Friday. I am loving that mani & those colors are beautiful. Have a great weekend girl ❤️
Hey love!! Happy Fri-YAY to you too!! 💖 got anything planned for the weekend?
@@SipAndDip my husband is an over the road truck driver. So we are headed to California. Any plans for you? I bring my nail stuff with me so I’ll be doing them either tomorrow or Sunday ❤️
I just ordered it!!! SO excited 😍😍 What do you have underneath the first layer? As in: What products do I need to get to start off using this set? I watched a LOT of your videos haha but I’m struggling to figure out what it is I need extra.. like a base and or nail dehydrator?
I just bought the Azure liquids; I'm hoping for the best! I started with Revel then tried Beetles which I didn't like at all.
Jus got smaller kit same brand hope its as good great job
love the colors in the kit, thanks for the review!
Me too!! I think the neon greens will be fun for summer ☀️ thanks for coming to hang! 💖
Love the colors. ❤️❤️❤️ they look 🔥🔥🔥
Yesss! They are so fun for Spring and Summer!! 🌷💚
I love your videos! Can you tell me what you had on your nails already? Was it some type of base before applying your base in this video?
Hi Jessica!! Thank you so much! 💗💗
I use peel base on my natural nails.
Thank you.
That is the same size that I received 💕 thankfully with dip powder a little goes a loooong way! 🫶🏻
Have you tried Head Kandy start kit and/or dip powders love to see it or hear your review!
I haven’t!! I need to check this out! Where did you hear about it? 💗
The green center nail doesn’t look fully opaque to me 🤷♀️🤔
The blue is sus too.
But I will definitely try the liquid set.
I've been using the liquids ad and they're the best
Yayyy!! So happy to hear this! 🥳🥳🥳
Hi, can we use a nail file instead of a buffer to buff the dip? And can you tell me the grit number of your buffer, please?
Great question! So you could use a 180 grit across the entire top surface. I would just be extra careful to go across the entire surface until it’s smooth so that your top coat isn’t gritty/rough. My buffing blocks are 150 grit 😌
@@SipAndDip thank you!
Love this, Chels!! Make me want some rainbow sherbet. Going to get those liquids right now!
Ahhh that sounds scrumptious!! Let me know what you think of the liquids!!
Thank you so much. I purchased two other Azure beauty kits because of your review and extra liquid and brushes. They came in yesterday and I tried it out today. Being new at using dip powder the slower dry time was definitely for me! Very happy and pleased! Thanks again!
So so happy to hear this!! Happy dipping and cheers to many more beautiful manicures!! 🥰🥳
What are some slow drying dip liquids you would recommend?
Definitely this set!! Other than these I love Mani Boss, Sparkle and CO’s low odor base is phenomenal, Beetles, just to name a few 💖
I’m so excited to try this!!!
🎉🎉🎉 happy dipping!
Hi, love your videos. I’m living abroad currently and because of that I have a limited amount of dip systems to choose from. Do you have any thoughts on Elisium Diamond, Gelish or Kabos?
Just got this dip kit. I am so excited
Yayyy! Can’t wait to hear what you think! ✨
This brand is amazing. So beginners friendly and won't break the bank
I totally agree! 💖
Blessing
I love this review!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks Diane!! Happy Fri-YAY!! 🥳
Just ordered and can't wait to try. It looks like you have a coat of something on your nails before you start this video- is there a step I'm missing?
Yayyy! Can’t wait to hear what you think!! So the shine that you see is called peel base. It’s a product that I paint on my nails so I can “pop” the dip powder off within 1-3 days. It lets me avoid acetone and keep up with content. Only downfall is the manis only last like a day 😮💨🙈
just got my answer at the end of your video-Thanks!
On Amazon they show that with their kits, you can do a shiny finish and a matte finish. How do you get a matte finish?
You have a few options for matte!
1. After the second activator step, just stop! That will leave a matte look
2. Finish the entire manicure. Then buff off the shine and apply another layer of activator. This will give more strength
3. Apply nail polish matte top coat on top
I hope this helps 💕💕
@@SipAndDip it def does thank you
Hello I love your videos!
Love your channel!
Thank you so much! 🫶🏻
I use Azure & always liked their color kits.
Has anyone tried it over nail tips, to use sort a substitute for acrylic nails?
Ive been using their top coat over Triple vitamin liquids, for years. I havent tried the rest of the line. I never do a second l!yee of activator snd I never have a problem.
I actually haven’t tried triple vitamin yet! I’ve heard great things though 🙌🏼
Forever enabling us! So pretty!

@@SipAndDip i really struggle with how thick the stuff is when ya dip. If I try to go lighter on the base, then I have blanks. But, yes, I’m going to plugging your video back in and have a go! Thankful for RUclips tutorials!!
@@kathydittmer9659 I totally understand! It really is a happy medium of too much and too little. Have you tried the pour over method? That way if you use more base liquid it doesn’t ripple or look thick? I shared more about it in a recent vid (I’ll link below in case) 🫶🏻

I have these liquids but I notice my top coat is sometimes dull. Do I need two coats of the top coat or…?
Hi Emily! The top coat does require 2 layers. So after the first layer, wait about a minute. Then apply the second! I find if you leave a little more on your brush it can give it a shinier more “gel” look! 💗
Hi Chelsea, what about modelones??
Hi there! 🥰
It’s been quite a while since I’ve used modelones liquids but I would say they’re comparable from what I remember! From what I’ve heard they are sister companies of Azure. I have only tried modelones travel size liquids so it’s difficult to fairly judge or compare to this set. Maybe I’ll give Modelones kits a try soon! It’s been quite awhile since I last played with their products! 🥰
@@SipAndDip Give them a try please, I want to know your opinion. Take care 🤗
Hey! I'm new to dipping. I have the beetles dip powder set. Is there a set/brand that you recommend? I'm not having any luck with the beetles dip powder set. It only lasts a day before it starts chipping.
So sorry to hear that! 💖 I love the beetles kit and this one featured in the video 🥰
Let’s see if we can figure out this chipping! Is it at the corners of your nails? How many dip powder layers are you doing? 💖
It's the corners and the tips that usually chip first. I usually do 2 layers of color and 1 layer of clear.
@@SipAndDip ok I'll give that a try. I am a busy working mother of 5 so that could be it too lol. Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
Why do you not use a build powder first?
It’s totally optional 🫶🏻 it varies on your nail length and lifestyle. With this length, I don’t find it necessary. If someone has longer nails or hard on their hands then they may want to build an apex with clear dip powder. Overall, it will vary based on lifestyle and personal preference. I don’t find that I need the extra bulk
Can you use powder from any brand with these liquids? 🤔
Absolutely! 🙌🏼💖 I have already used them twice now with other brands since uploading this 🥰 it worked beautifully!
@@SipAndDip oh great!! 👏🏻👏🏻I’m excited to try these …hopefully it will help me cut down on how long it takes me to finish a mani lol. I’m just getting started and find it to be such a long process! (Totally worth it though)

Yesss! So glad you have tried it too! 🙌🏼💖
Wow, I am kicking myself for not getting the it's with the liquids now. 😂 the 2 in 1 base/top made me nervous, so I got the ones with powders only. I do enjoy them a lot, so I'm gonna def try their liquids.
ME TOO! I was so afraid it would be weird as a base or not shiny as a top. But it most definitely proved me wrong 😆🙌🏼
Oh no I can't find the shades! 😭 hope they bring it back! I love Amazon sets for basics. I'd rather support small businesses for the more specialized dips. Gonna buy this kit as soon as they bring it back!
So much yes!! I agree!! I’ll try to keep an eye on this kit and update y’all if it comes back 💗
It’s seem nice, I wondering how long it last, I saw some reviews they said it’s chipped off in 2 days
@@SipAndDip omg 😳 thank you so much! I’m preparing to do my nails soon and your Channel very helpful 👏🏼👏🏼💜🖤
