  • Today, we're removing the rear subframe on my 335i and E91 wagon, as we continue to swap everything over to create the ultimate street sleeper! Removing the rear subframe can be broken down to a few simple steps as I show you in this video, and we also discuss the differences between the 325i DMTL system, and the 335i DMTL system.

    I'm with you - keep the sleeper look on the rear. Nice work.

    It’s great to have people like you appreciate and love Bimmers! A lot of people just drive them till they fall on their face and then they complain saying BMWs are trash…..🤦‍♂️
    Sadly but the same story happens with Mercedes too

      Well every car is trash if you treat it like trash
      Maintenance is key for every car

    Here's something essential for anyone doing this... depending on how you have the car supported on Jack stands, or whatever, place 200lbs of weight into the trunk before dropping the rear subframe to prevent the car from tipping over the supporting platform (if it applies to how you have the car supported)

    Is it really necessary to disassemble the center console to disconnect the parking brake cables? That part looks like a major PITA.

      Grab the big nut, and swing your wrench from the driver side to the passenger side, that's how you loosen it! Hope that helps.

    So how did you run your dmtl system

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  2 года назад

      Kept all the factory 325ix dmtl system, just easier and I get to keep the extra storage space under the trunk!

      I have a full video review, but I'm very happy. These are the 5000SLX models, and work great for my cars. Saves me time and gets the car very high in the air for working underneath.
