Hey Eonon, Why don't you provide a bracket and screws that actually fit for the car? It is a bad first experience with your product when you provide a mounting solution that does not fit.
MUST READ!!!! This was a great installation video and I used a little for my installation one thing I don’t see in any videos is taking the canbus module off the included harness and adding it to the extended harness with this everything works plug n play and have not seen any issues so far. If you do everything correctly and have no sound try the steering wheel controls to turn the sound up. Installed in 2003 e39 BMW M5.
The sound is great I wouldn’t say it’s leaps and bounds over the stock head unit. It’s more for the CarPlay and the new modern look in my opinion. It’s a definite upgrade and a no brainer.
Appreciate how well you informed us. Not sure what you do for a living, but I certainly hope your VOICE is a portion of how you make a Living. I’m looking for placements In my M3, E46
At man thanks for the help but I had a realization during my installment. No need to run the cables because they’re already connected on the amplifier to the stereo. Just spliced them and connected them to the speaker cables, simple and easy.
This is super handy, man. Many thanks. Tip I can give you (if you don’t mind a little rewiring), you can get cameras for the E39 that is integrated into the plate light.
I haven't found a specific E39 camera, I have one of those for my E92 but some sites that list E39 are incorrect on the product description. If you know of a proper E39 camera lmk!
Issues with this radio (I have a 2001 BWM525): The bracket as shown in this video. I really dont want to drill in my dash. It's a shame cause it is not a bad product otherwise. There is a spelling mistake on one of the hardware buttons. Instead of SETUP is says SEUPT..see 32:35. My steering wheel button volume controls do not work with android auto. (they do work if I run spotify from the unit). My wireless android auto sometimes has a hard time connecting. but this might be due to my phone. After some reset i will work again. I also have the Resler Ibus connected, I can highly recommend this.
As for the bracket, definitely an annoyance but the drilling doesn't at all prevent you from going back to stock if necessary. I never noticed the spelling error on the setup button until I saw ur comment, and I've been using this for months haha. I will never unsee this hahaha. Volume controls and all seem to work flawlessly with CarPlay, I don't have an Android so I can't test Android auto unfortunately, hopefully some updates can fix the issues you're having. The Resler module is fantastic, looking to make a video with it soon
Hmm probably means the Canbus decoder isn't functional for whatever reason, or there's some other issue with the settings. Id look through all the settings menus and see if you can find some sort of Canbus settings.
Great video! Thank you for your time on this My question is, I have a 2002 540i with the cd changer in the front instead of the radio and tape before it. It has DSP. Do i need to install that adapter as well like you did in your trunk?
Hey there, because you have the DSP amp I believe that still will be in the trunk in the same location as mine, in which case you’d need to run the same adapter. I would check to make sure before buying!
Hello :) thank you very much for the detailed video. I got one question though, why making the loop between the new unit and the bm54 module? I would like to take all the old system out and just keep the new android. Thanks in advance for your answer 🙏
You have to run the loop so that the audio “circuit” is complete. I believe the only way to do this without running the loop is getting an IBUS module. The bm53/4 modules don’t take up much space anyways so you don’t lose anything by leaving it there
I believe you'll have to hook it up to your DSP from your harness if you want to make it work. I'm surprised you just hooked it up to your factory radio?!?
The DSP amp and BM53/4 radio are still connected to each other, which is why it works. The harness just intercepts that connection essentially. Been problem free since I installed this back in December, now with even more control over DSP with my IBUS module.
Hey great video, thanks a lot! I've got a 2000 528 and have been dreading the install for a while because NOBODY has posted a video of how to connect this unit with the A0590 harness. I've had the unit for like two months now. Two questions if you don't mind- How has the reverse cam held up with the JB clear weld? & Did you wrap your car or paint it? . . . Or is that an oem color?
Glad this was helpful! Yes, 7 months later with daily use and on a car that sits outside, the JB weld shows no signs of failing. Its a wrap, essmo vinyl midnight purple. However, the inspiration for it was both OEM colors Mora Violet Metallic and Technoviolet
Thank you for the video. It’s very detailed. Everything works for me except the backup camera. Do I have to program anything besides hooking up the cables?
If your car has a manual transmission you'll have to setup a trigger wire to the reverse light bulb. If its an automatic, you'll just have to dig through some of the system settings to find backup camera options
Great informational video. I'm trying to decide between the AVIN and the Eonon head units. Have you experienced any issues with the Eonon head unit or the back up camera setup? I own a 2003 BMW 5 series, will this particular Eonon head unit work with my vehicle? Thanks
So far no issues with mine! I do know the Avin unit may have a more OEM look in terms of the finish, but there is also a significant price difference. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing the Avin unit can do that this one cannot. I have not had any issues so far, and it has been installed since December.
Will the new eonon radio also include a function that previously displayed the original BMW radio from Bord Computer, such as the current petrol combustion???
The Eonon units don't have that functionality out of the box, however, you can add that with the IBUS adapter which I showed briefly in this video. I'll talk more about that in another video
When installing one of these, will it run multiple accessories with just the two USB leads ? If one is used for the I-Bus app, can you have the DAB , TPMS etc on a hub in to the other USB lead ? Thanks
Hey man, I installed mine as well and it seems everything is working EXCEPT day and night switching on CarPlay. Do you have this issue? My panel keys turn on and off with headlights and screen dims and gets brighter etc but no day and night cycle with headlights
I believe CarPlay switching between Light/Dark mode is dependent on what your phone is set to. If you go to the settings app in carplay you'll be able to adjust those settings. The screen should still dim/brighten with the headlight switch, so if thats what you're referring to then I am not sure why that wouldn't work. You might have to go into the T-link settings on the android before your phone connects to adjust those settings

Still working flawlessly with daily use after 9 months!
Very detailed installation video. Thank you for your sharing~ 🤗
I can get wireless car play to work, but not wireless android auto. is this a known issue, any fixes or tips?
Thanks for sending me the unit and supporting the channel!
@@SamAbraham Hi Sam. The Q49PRO also supports wireless Android Auto.

does it have good bass, noise? which is better the old one OEM or this one? for listening musics? nobody answered me :(

Haha all spam callers and their voicemails
Do you have a video of how you run the wire from the driver side footwell into the radio spot?
I described it in the video, under all the door kick plate trim and slightly below the carpet through the side carpeting in the trunk

how did you unplug the plug that you are showing at 18:04? i cant get it to come loose
there’s a tab at the front of the connector you have to squeeze, and then the latch for the connector pulls out and brings the connector with it
Just installed, everything working fine with mine, except my WiFi is not staying connected/not connecting to WiFi. Any help?
Weird, have you tried your phones hotspot just to see if it’s an issue with the unit or the connection itself?
@@SamAbraham I have but I get the same results.

installer in Miami area
hey i just finished installing mine and now my car won’t start, is this a wiring issue?
This should not correlate to anything that would prevent the car from turning on, unless your battery drained during the install
When installing one of these, will it run multiple accessories with just the two USB leads ? If one is used for the I-Bus app, can you have the DAB , TPMS etc on a hub in to the other USB lead ?

Honestly not sure if you can run a USB splitter off the other lead, it seems like you could but I haven't attempted it to can't say for sure
@@SamAbraham No probs, thanks for taking time to reply.
Hi, I was just wondering how you installed I-Bus on this unit?
It comes with it
I dont have the stock lcd screen but the cd changer and potential factory amp, in the truck do i need to get the harness run to the back?
Do you find an answer?

Can u still use the factory cd changer with this unit?
Nope
The CarPlay connects via Wi-Fi built into the eonon ?
Correct
Which I-Bus adapter did you use?
The orange resler module from this site: shop.ibus-app.de/en/i-bus-app/accessories/interfaces-modules/191/resler-usb-i-bus-module-incl.-cable
Cd changer are working fine?
The CD changer does not function with this unit
If they can't even spell 'Setup' correctly on the button (it's spelled Seutp), God only knows what else Quality Control misses.
Yeah that's weird, hadn't noticed it myself until another comment. Anyways its been nearly 7 months since install with 0 issues and daily use
