People defending the game for not having co-op is appalling... Look at Halo 2, the game was designed from the ground up to be single player for the campaign, and they added co-op as a tacked on a minimal effort feature and people LOVED IT... ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT... Adding features DOES NOT DETRACT FROM A GAME, IT ADDS TO IT.......... "Oh but it will mess of the story or the pacing." Who gives a fuck? If you care about the story that much or the pacing then play single player first, THEN YOU HAVE THE OPTION... "THE OPTION"... To play with friends on another playthrough, on a harder difficulty, or to just mess around and try to bug out the game or get out of bounds, that's what made Halo 2 Multiplayer SO FUCKING FUN.....

U play a zombie game days gone and suddenly think a big world doesnt need people but CooP. Project zomboid is like a MMORPG but has coop function and multiplayer. Unlike Dayz or any other survival games u dont get random people killing u for no reason. This is important in world building because u keep the save file and continue on. Even when it gets corrupted and u gotta retry its fun. CooP nowadays is hard if u aint in school. So many people like different games. Multiplayer is a joke for me.
I cant agree more with Coop being better and halo did it right way. People who flamed it never liked gaming thats the issue they were there to just do damage. ;)

It can still be a single player game and have co-op added on to it it doesn't have to be online either. I'm obviously looking for a modded experience where I can enjoy with friends

@@bmanrockwell2174 Valheim and Ark are about the only 2 modded games that have coop. I tried the Skyrim together mod but it was kinda janky. Really hoping we get a really nice coop mod for this game. :)

Elder Scrolls and GTA were both designed to be multiplayer. To begin with.
The actual fact is that Starfield will not have co-op normally.
It will most likely be modded in, and due to the fact that the engine it's using (Creation Engine 2) which supports multiplayer. It's not unlikely that someone will get that to integrate.
Now for it to not be designed to just allow that to begin with, is a massive oversight, the community will most likely get it via a mod or program developed by another player. As is the case with almost every bethesda game, which ONLY survived over the years BECAUSE of modders to begin with.
Well I am not glad there is no multiplayer.

I agree this game shouldn't be multiplayer, BUT... I'd love to see a possible extra save game available as co-op, a new game (world) separated from your solo game, where let's say 4-6 friends can play together on this co-op save , everytime some ppl play on this save they elect a group chief and HE/SHE chooses the next mission, players could choose to follow the leader to complete the mission or be solo and build a base, acquire ressources ect.. that would be awesome
Starfield will fail. Starfield is an Xbox game. Xbox players and Xbox games for the most part are multi player/coop friendly. This is the biggest part of getting Xbox compared to PS (solo player mostly console). Major fail for Starfield. I know me and all my buddies will not be playing this game. Until maybe multi player happens. By that time we will most likely move on and be playing other games that come out.
No multiplayer no money It's stupid nowadays that there's no multiplayer in games, the game gets boring fast. Especially with these types of games that don't have great stories.example Horizon Forbidden West great game no one was interested passed and walked.
All I know is, if the game is as good as they're making it out to be.. I can bet it would be amazing to play even with only a few buddies, or, even if they launched a multiplayer version like mentioned.

I just want the ability to play the current game with a few friends. Not a MMO thing. Would be fine if one of the players was the host, no online host required.
You do understand that they made cyber punk look like the best game ever for two years straight. And then it came out as poop. Just beware! Think of all the games that have gotten this amount of hype. Evolve. Anthem. Cyber punk. When a game has to spend this much money on advertisements. It has been proven. That only means that they NEED that preorder money. Because they know it won’t sell well. I hope I’m wrong. But history has had no problem repeating itself when it comes to the games we have gotten the last ten years.

I've been playing since the early 90's when I was just a kid, so I've grown with the modern industry.. and yeah, it's shit for the most part.
At least FromSoftware still makes decent games that can still be considered games and not money grubbing microtransaction fests.. like most of the industry seems to be geared towards..

You know there is couch co-op right? Lan co-op...even Minecraft has that...like wft...why Bethesda keeps releasing this games single-player...I don't want a Full multiplayer online experience...I want a couch co-op experience, a Lan co-op experience. I have a "few" hours on my belt...and this game is screaming to allow at least couch/lan co-op.

Then what about a huge space adventure experienced through a game! In this age where the success of social media & platforms proves our need to connect and share our lives and experiences with friends, why many of these developers still don't realise that!!! Why do they waste their time and money in making single players! Even coop games can be played fully single player any time if anybody wants that!

There will be NO official online or multiplayer support. Pretty certain they don't wanna go that route because of the security, server, ratings, etc issues that it will bring. Likely there will just be mod tools created that will make it happen down the line.

I liked COD Modern Warfare 2 until I got tired of being paired up with random players. If the cooperative mode would have been single player, I would have stayed with it. I hope starfield doesn't do the same thing.
