    Sophia Winkleman, or rather the Lady Frederick Windsor as she is now, is brutal; yet Catherine Shepherd is sublime. Listen to how her voice breaks without any visible, histrionic sign of distress. English acting is one of the finest.

    The international football team manager is brilliant. That's impressive team-managing skills! Multilingualism is more and more a selling criteria for an effective professional football team manager these days. Paul is a comic chameleon!

    Mr Bean is, as Rowan Atkinson has admitted, a very unpleasant character. I would say he's so selfish as to be a sociopath, but Harry took it a step further and made him a psychopath.

    The spot they’re fishing at (9:50) is the exact spot my grandad made me get into the water to find a propellor that had spun off the model boat he had made.. I was 9 and had to feel around with my feet...in my underwear! The lake is Black Park, close to Iver and Pinewood studios.
    Just thought I’d add that. :)

      I used to go there a lot, too. It brings back a lot of happy memories for me, walking in the beech woods, watching the model boats buzzing around on the lake. My father was the Buckinghamshire County Council Land Agent and was responsible for Black Park, Langley Park and other public spots around the county. Good times.

      The laughing sounds were never fake. They'd play the footage to the audience and that's the laughter you'd hear.

    Harry and Paul are obviously brilliant guys. Funny as hell. The only talents I would compare them to in the US are Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, Dave Thomas, Joe Flarety from the old SCTV show. I think those guys are from Canada though.

    I love both Sophies and Catherine's performances in the saw you coming sketch, both are smoking hot and very talanted, especially love the rude character Sophie does so well, so much so I feel sorry for listeria (although id pop in there every day if Giselle spoke to me like that) well done ladies. Top performances throughout the series.

    It showcases their character work, which is considerable...but is a little shy on jokes/laughs. Which sucks to say, because I do have a great affection for them, especially Paul.
    Still, the actor Kevin Eldon as George Martin is worth it.

    I love The Benefits. To really sell it they should have a perpetually screaming infant that they completely ignore, but I suppose the relentless dog barking is annoying enough.
