This is even better than I expected. All of the organization tools will definitely be helpful. Aside from the obvious reagent storage usage, I think the warbank will be very useful in making my "spring cleaning" much more efficient (which really helps since I have adhd). Just drop all the crap that I accumulate into the first tab that doesn't need to stick with a specific character, then when it starts getting full, just hop on characters to "claim" the garbage to either sell it or store it in the regular bank or my bank guild's vault for longer term storage. I won't have to spend time on each individual character parsing through all the crap in my bags regularly, to send out individual mails to a bunch of characters to deal with all the items. A good example would be all the Zereth Mortis crap that I was accumulating back in SL. I had to essentially assign one of my characters as a mule to hold all that crap (and then distribute or use it), just so I could empty my bags without having to really think about it. Reagents are a similar story. I've had to use the TSM addon's mailing capabilities to automate cleaning out profession mats from my bags just to take that cognitive load off. A big problem I've always had with storing stuff in this game is that the character bank (including the reagent bank) is isolated and only accessible in major cities (also it's indoors, so it's annoying to walk over to), so if I put anything in there, chances are I'll forget about it for a few years. While it can be a great place to put soulbound stuff, or any profession mats that only that character will ever use, its isolation makes it a bit of a black hole that I'm afraid of putting anything into, unless I know it won't be a problem. Bank-guild vaults are a similar problem, except that it can be shared across multiple characters. The problem with bank guilds is that I can't have all of my characters in them, since I do end-game content with a raiding guild. I need to be in that guild to access guild chat, guild vault, etc. This means the bank guilds act more like cold storage, in that it's even more unlikely I'll remember I have stuff in there, since only my non-endgame alts will have access. I'm really looking forward to this! I know it won't solve all my problems (adhd sucks lol), but I'm hopeful I can simplify the solutions to the problems I've had. I know I can be a bit of a hoarder (most adhd folks are to some extent), but this should hopefully keep it in check a bit better. Having more organizational tools is good!
Similar issue, using multiple bank toons and 4 turned-private guilds with altoholic to remind me where I put it. Now I can use 1 tab to transfer between even faction and realm. Also hold alt's TWW leveling gear.. Constantly transferring enough mats for each crafter to use was a pain, and dutifully mailing after each session to whomever held that particular loot or item. The old set up will remain relevant but for older content only. This system will allow me to play more alts and hopefully sell more of the irrelevant stuff.
One last week idea is to collect and turn in all your Dreamsurge Coalescense. I finally got the mount, toys and pets. The Friendsurge toy is very nice.
My go-to items for the warbank atm are; Herbs, Ore/Bars, MoP fish(Lil'Leftovers) That clears 2 whole tabs in my alt bank to store more battle pets and Tmog AND i can craft from any character now!
Great to see the Warband bank screen up close. Also, thanks for the useful info on moving items between tabs and the saving of tab restrictions before going to the next tab. I only see a benefit of sharing reagents cuz they will automatically be used by any toon. Anything else mailboxes are way more convenient. There is always a mailbox close by but not banks. I have a mailbox toy but not a bank toy.

I like to keep all my gold in one place, and love the idea of keeping it in my bank, however I am nearly goldcap and just wondering if that has been lifted for the bank. If we're shoving current expansion reagents in the bank then it would leave a good many empty slots in the reagent bags we just got in DF. Question is whether that's a sign we're going to drown in different reagents in TWW.
Question: if you create a reagents/crafting tab and it fills with a bunch of Dragonflight mats, then when TWW launches and you toggle the "current expansion only" - what happens to the DF mats?
DF mats are already considered "legacy" materials. You can tell because DF mats have the tag but TWW mats have no tag at all, which tells me no tag = current.

Yeah, that is in fact a feature: Let's pretend you have the bag fully configured to place items in specific spots. If you right click an item, you'd then expect it to go into the spot you assigned it to, and not into the currently opened tab because then, "the currently opened tab" overwrites all settings. NOW the user would have to make sure they're clicking on the correct tab first before depositing and the whole thing just ends up being not just confusing but pointless. That's what the automation is supposed to be for, right?! That's why I demonstrated the behavior when nothing is set up, to show users what happens if left unconfigured. What you could be suggesting is an ADDED feature to disable the automation and to just treat it as if it were a guild bank tab. But to call this a bug would be false on its premise as I hopefully explained.

If there is a setting, yeah, that would make it look like this is could be happening on purpose that something lands in a seemingly unrelated tab - but this still would make the item "disappear" somewhere "unexpected", changing the tab to where stuff lands would help. Changing tabs while doing the settings and the changes are gone? That "Clean Up" works like all tabs are one continous storage space is another issue for me, I really do not want to put things deliberately in different tabs, sort the bank and end up with stuff all over the place. But since the only positive thing of that "Clean Up" feature is that it puts stacks together while arranging items in very odd ways that mostly defy logic - I probably will end up with setting all tabs to "ignore".
