Just an idea! I have been seeing a lot of units coming with VFD’s. It would be nice to be able to see HZ and Amps on the same screen and be able to trend them. This would be helpful with setting up the drives after a VFD goes bad. I know you have volts and Hz on the same screen, but Hz and Amps would be a benefit as well. Just a thought. Thanks!
So did you resolve the issue with phantom voltage and amp increase readings when using wireless vs when not using wireless? Also the deal breaker for me is that the SC680 has a minimum amp requirement of 7A when reading frequencies on a variable frequency motor. I was ready to buy it until a heard about these 2 issues. Did you resolve either of them?
Sounds like you need to go back to school my friend. I’ll give you a free one to take with you and hope you pass along one day. Look up 10-loop jumper. Actually don’t I’ll just tell you what it is. If you wrap a wire around the jaws then divide that number by whatever value your meter reads. That will give you a reading higher than what your actual Amperage is. So to find your ACTUAL amp draw You divide the number your meter showed by the number of times you you wrapped around the jaws, that is how you’ll find your actual amperage
@alexandertirado7163 Yeah, we all have several feet extra wires hanging around that we can wrap around meter jaws. Real world and theory my man is way different. Fluke to the rescue and still strong after 10 yeara of usage.
Hey do you guys sell the swivel clamp separate as a replacement part for the sc680 mines broke this meter is very expensive in my country to purchase a whole meter

MQ has nothing to do with Fieldpiece so they don’t have to answer for third party software… you would have to ask MQ that question as they are the ones the wrote the code etc for it to work with their software.
can the app actually use one or both of these meters to test Capacitors under load and see them n the app like Supcos app? single or dual run like the redfish550? will these ever be integrated into MQ?
I hope your product production is better than your video production lol This looks like a VHS you would pop in back in the 90s with the music over the talking for some reason
Do not buy this meter i only had it for 1 year and 2 month with it and already have problems. I hardly even used it still has its plastic on the screen it reads amps and voltage while is not in use I notify them and they said to change the battery. And still have them same issue now they want me to pay 150 to get it fixed I even still have the box this is terrible and really expensive meter for them not to do anything about it.
😂😂😂well reviews say otherwise.. sometimes shit happens doesn’t make every meter bad just because yours went south..how do we know it wasn’t user error that caused them to be faulty ? I’ll pass on your opinion
When you buy one of those pieces of s***, what you get is a overpriced meter that doesn't accurately take temperature or amperage! It's a piece of s*** and so is customer support.
@@FieldpieceProducts Then why is there so many quality issues? Why would you not build them to be easily calibrated by us technicians? @@FieldpieceProducts You don't understand. I talked to the parts house I bought it from. Just got my SC680 last week. Still waiting to try it out.
Do a class on how to operate 680

All the VFD I work with have a parameter that tells you amps/volts/freq

Hell no they have not I hardly used my meter till this year bought on march 2020. That’s the biggest problem I still got the warranty doesn’t cover it

The SC680 seems like the ultimate meter for the HVAC tech. Too bad my HS36 stick meter is still going strong!
They're nothing to be proud of. They will get you to misdiagnosed problems. Expensive junk tools.
Harbor freight has better everything customer service returns buy one it doesn't work you bring it back to get a new one.

SOLD!
Does the SC 480 model allows you to measure voltage and amps simultaneously since it has dual display ?

What about measuring Miliamps?
Can you show a video with the sc680 troubleshooting a vfd
Will the 680 and 480 also work with MeasureQuick app, as it does with Job Link?

neat. The representative is also kinda cute how he reminds me of me when I first started sales. Rigid, lack of fluidity, stuttering, etc.

@@FieldpieceProducts Oh yeah, I see it. He's a lot like myself and my coworkers
Can this thing do more then 600v
I just want a fieldpiece meter that that shows zero voltage
Unlike my fieldpiece meter that shows Millivolts
Why? With millivolt measurements you can check thermocouple/ thermopile
