Beaches and Books July Readathon Announcement!! 📣 🏖️ 📚

I am excited to announce that I am co-hosting a readathon in July with the theme of beaches and books. I live in a seaside town with a beach so how could I not?!!
The readathon will be running throughout the month of July so you have plenty of time to read those books. Comment down below, use the hashtag #beachesandbooks2024 or tag one of us if you’re going to take part.

Here are the prompts:
1. Seashells: go to the library/or e-library and pick out a book.
2. Lifeguard: a book you “saved” for later
3. Waves: a book that made waves in the community
4. Starfish: a book you think will be 5 stars
5. Beach Party: a book about friendship
6. Ocean: an underwater setting
7. Sunshine: a book with a yellow cover
8. Sandcastle: a book with Royalty/or maybe castle on the cover?
9. Beach Ball: A Book About Sports
10. Flip Flops: a book with 2 pov
11. Rainy Day: read a book during a rainstorm
12. Boardwalk: set in a Beach town

I am enjoying A. L. Greene so that intrigues me
I haven’t read that yet but it was one I looked at earlier in the year. That’s cool if it has some sport in it, especially as lots of these prompts fit with contemporary romance 😃

Ooh I don't normally partake in readathons but I am very tempted to do so with this one!! I'm actually currently reading a book already that would fit 2 of the prompts lol!

This sounds fantastic! I'm excited to join in. And I think there's a Christian Fiction mermaid story that would fit that underwater prompt. My library has the audio book which I've been eyeing. Cute graphics too. Plus you've introduced me to some new book tubers. Yay!
Yes there’s definitely one that was listed as Christian fiction and another sci-fi or fantasy that is set in a watery world.

Do you think Persuasion by Jane Austen would count as set in a beach town with part of it set in Lyme?
Yes definitely! I was thinking of adding that to my suggestions. Lyme is definitely a beach town and very significant to the plot 😃
