I just love that sotar slim. It's such a fun airbrush to work with. Actually just picked up another sotar from the sale badger is running. I'm curious to see if they made any changes since I last bought one. Thanks so much Duane!
@@theartworkshop the slim is my favorite also. I have one set up with the fine needle and medium nozzle and nozzle cap. it sticks the needle further out making it easier to get extra fine detail just have a little more tip dry .
@@duanemarshall9486 how interesting! I need to try that. Years ago I did something similar with my infinity. Will have to give that a go on one of my sotars. Thanks Duane
Thanks so much Jeff! I keep telling myself to pick one of those up to test out. I'll order one this weekend and start using it this week. They are supposed to be pretty awesome. Have you used one?
Love the channel you and Dred Fx are super talented hardworking with great information. I have a beginner question do you always push the trigger all the way down cause sometimes when I do this there is a bit of a delay then to much paint hits the canvas. Some times I press down half way for more control is this a bad habit?
Hey thanks so much man! Listen there are a ton of ways to paint. The most important thing is that you are in control of your airbrush and it is doing what you want it to. It is always a good thing to experiment like you are doing and find what works well for you as a painter. In some airbrushes, like harder and steenbecks you can press lightly on the trigger to release less air, but I don't think they were intended for this purpose. I know a few painters who use paint like that. My advice would be to fully press down on the trigger and control your air volume and psi on your compressor. If you feel that your airbrush is spraying at a psi that is too much for you, simply use your regulator to adjust it. You will have a lot more control over your airbrush when you use your compressor's regulator to its full effect. Hope this helps!
Mark your on another level with this type of artwork , I've a lot to learn but your making it fun Rob was right sub to you you won't regret it 👏👏
