  • In the previous installment, the layout was packed up for delivery. This week, let's put it back together in the owner's attic room.

    Dear Peter, simply amazing to see how all the elements of the layout fit the final location like a glove. The tolerances you kept, definitely paid off. Also, it’s awesome to watch how the K&SV is designed to fit the room. Love the way you structurally supported the different levels, really adds to the visual experience, of course when all the temporary supports are removed. Three continuous shelves folding around the room, will indeed give a load of scenic vignettes, or charms for the beholder’s and operator’s eyes. Absolutely marvelous!!

      It's always a relief once the railroad is installed in it's forever home. Until then, there are always those moments when I second-guess myself, wondering if I've got the dimensions correct. Measure 300x and still not be sure.

    I enjoy watching what you create from the planning stage to installed product. True craftsman of his trade. I wish I was in a position to have your help, you can really see you put a lot of hours into your work. Thank you for another great video and another great project.

      "Having my help" doesn't have to be a huge expense. I do consulting in chunks as small as one hour if you have one particular issue you need some advise on.

    Fascinating to see it all literally come together. I went back to your planning videos to get a sense of how it all started. As others have mentioned, I hope we get to see the finished product sometime in the future.

    Great to see it all come together Peter. Note to my architect - make sure that the door way to the basement is big enough for the helixes!

    • @mpeterll
      @mpeterll  Год назад +1

      Your helixes will be wider than these so I'll have to build them in two halves anyway, like the one on the M&W.

      @@mpeterll Got it - but I still want to make sure that we have an easy load in to the basement 😁

    Good grief Peter what a job, it was a job getting it out of your garage but then getting it in the customers house must have been a nightmare. The bits you did the scenery on are absolutely amazing, very well done 👍

      Yes, everything came home that was supposed to. My car was quite full on the way home, partially because most of the bulky stuff caught a ride up there with the railroad, and partially because of the extra stuff I purchased while I was up there.

      The M&W also goes from planning through the end of phase-I installation. The only difference is that the M&W is a much larger project where some of the later stages still only have the initial planning done.
