    I'm only able to twist and knot hair down to about half way, also, after about 2 days, my roots don't feel too tight and I'm afraid of unraveling, how tight were your roots starting out? Did they feel like they were coming undone?

    • @fairybunz8583
      @fairybunz8583  7 лет назад

      ShirayukixMizore the roots aren’t too tight. The best thing to do it leave it and let it matte on it’s own but if you’re really concerned you could used a crochet hook on it

    • @ShirayukixMizore
      @ShirayukixMizore 7 лет назад

      Mutated Doll are the roots supposed to kind of get lossened? I have some stray hairs here and there that have come out at the roots, especially near my hair line I'm about 1 week in.

    • @ShirayukixMizore
      @ShirayukixMizore 7 лет назад

      Mutated Doll also, how should the ends be? I wasn't able to twist all the way to the end because I didn't have much hair to twist and rip, for a lot of them, I only got about half way down.

    • @fairybunz8583
      @fairybunz8583  7 лет назад

      ShirayukixMizore I would just do it as much as you can. Even with my mannequin I wasn’t able to do it all the way cause there isn’t enough hair for it

      @ShirayukixMizore 7 лет назад

      Mutated Doll Any tips on how often to wash and how to? I washed the next day after I did mine and would go one day on one off, a lot of the ones near my hair line and top of head have completely unraveled and I don't know what to do.

    • @fairybunz8583
      @fairybunz8583  7 лет назад

      Trinity Davidson if it’s real hair it should work. If it’s not real you should back comb and do the twisting steaming method

    So if I was to do my own hair is there a specific direction to twist if I did my hair my self

    • @fairybunz8583
      @fairybunz8583  6 лет назад +2

      Dare Devil you can twist any direction you want as long as you’re going the same direction on the same chunk of hair

    Should I do this everyday

    • @kNINER-tj6mq
      @kNINER-tj6mq 4 года назад +1

      No. Once you do it you shouldn't have to do it again unless the meds unraveled. I started my last set with twist and rip and after the initial process i palm roll newgrowth once a week with talijah wiijad or something like that loc it up gel. Get metal clips (bot Bobby pins) to hold your newgrowth when you retwist and blow dry it until it's dry at the root and then take the clips out.

    • @Kanja-man
      @Kanja-man 4 года назад

      Mrs. Niner yoo can I show u my hair on Instagram or something and tell me if I’m doing it right

    • @kNINER-tj6mq
      @kNINER-tj6mq 4 года назад

      @@Kanja-man i don't have social media other than this. Just use a quarter sized amount of loc gel and apply it to your dread and palm roll in one direction. Put the clip about half an inch from your root so that it holds it in place and let it air dry or blow dry it. And that's your maintenance. You can use sea salt water spray to keep it tight but you shouldn't have to twist and rip anymore unless your ends are coming loose. If you're white, i had a a friend who used string to tie around theirs to keep them in form. And then cut the strong off. But weekly palm rolling will keep it tight

    • @fairybunz8583
      @fairybunz8583  4 года назад

      No but you can always use a crochet hook to tighten and lock the knots. I haven’t yet uploaded a video on that unfortunately

  • @kNINER-tj6mq
    @kNINER-tj6mq 4 года назад +3

    That looks like a rats nest. I just twist and ripped my hair last year and it never looked like that....?

    • @fairybunz8583
      @fairybunz8583  4 года назад +1

      Mrs. Niner I haven’t crocheted it yet. That’s why it looks like this , plus it’s a mannequin which will obviously have a different hair texture than yours
