I can't understand why Rolling Stones magazine ignored GM when ranking the top 100 greatest guitarrists of all time
They are utter ignoramuses
He was so underrated. I read somewhere he will never be in the American Music Hall of Fame because he never had hit over here. Noone even knows who he is over here. I didn't until about 8 yrs. ago. So sad. After hearing & seeing some of the famous guitarists, I think he was the best.
I never read these supposed top guitarists of all time, I get annoyed if Gary isn't there. He more than a guitarist a complete musician,
Rolling Stone have been musical doucebags from the start. Absolute pricks.
Obvio. Nunca estará el es otro nivel. X mucho arriba de hendrix, page halen, blackmore. X citar algunos
I believe in Gary Moore is the best blues guitarest of all time rest in peace legend may god bless you and your family amen
This is the most beautiful solo I've heard in my life
I've never heard a guitar cry so much. He will be missed RIP Gary❤😢
❤
r.i.p oldman i was at the concert an saw you in your glory performing this amazing piece
Still the best solo I have ever seen and heard live..... That was in 1987 and it is now 2023....
Totally agree!
👏👏👏
This man was, in my opinion, the best guitarists that I have heard. I only found out about him about 8 yrs ago. Have listened to everything I could find of his music & many videos. He is simply the best. Magnificent solos. They will blow u away. Unfortunately, he was not too well known in the US. Mainly Europe & he was from Ireland. I wish everyone could hear how great he was especially in the US. He was so underrated. It's a shame. He passed away before I even heard of him. I have such a regret that I never got to see him in concert. He is my favorite musician & will always have a place in my heart. RIP Gary Luv u. ❤️
I saw the this very show in Stockholm back in the day. It had an earie spirit about it as it was Garys first tour after Phil had passed away and sure enough you could feel Phils presence up in the rafters of the hockey stadium. This song was in my opinion the highlight of the show and the second solo is the VERY best guitar solo ever performed and still I get the chills hearing it. Next time Gary played in Stockholm it was next doors in the new Globe arena, which is now the Avicii areana and Gary was the first act to play there. His secret was that he played every kind of music, fusion, blues, pop and hard rock and was able to intergrde the notes in his playing. One of the coolest thing about his playing was the perfect tone and finding that noe in the right spot take things in to whole different level. John Norum used to play Garys Loner as his solo as tribute to him and the Lone was the first song I learned to play on guitar when I switched instruments from Bass.
Spot on. Gary Moore is one of God's greatest blessings to mankind 💕
I did not have a chance to see him on a live stage, but he was a monster of blues - and "Still got the blues" will be alive forever! Amazing blues guitarist with brilliant passion!
I was fortunate enough to see him live in Sheffield, just a few weeks before this was recorded. Sublime guitarist, absolutely mesmerising to watch live.
I think so. Since i was 13en.
Wow, wow, wow, that guitar solo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When music touches the heart so much, you've done everything right. Thank you Gary Moore! Rip

Gary Moore is The Man!!!
Amazing work from Gary Moore R.I.P to a legend
I have listened to many guitarists, many virtuosos. I consider him the best electric guitarist of all time
+1 simple thanks for praising my hero. Greetings from the US.
Totally agree!
The most feeling in a song ever made! 👍
Gary Moore was not only a gifted, soulful and talented guitar player and good composer, he also had a golden hand in choosing the best musicians around him: Craig Gruber, Bob Daisley or Neill Murray on Bass, Eric Singer, Cozy Powell or Ian Paice on Drums, Glenn Hughes or Phil Lynott on vocals (beside himself), Don Airey on Keyboard... All musicians who have also worked with Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, Rainbow or Whitesnake. I really love all his Hard Rock albums from the 80es and his first Blues Album. It was one big Rock family back in those days. My favourite albums are Victims Of The Future, We Want Moore! and After The War. Empty Rooms in this live version is my one of my favourite tracks :-)
Not to mention most of them did their time in Uriah Heep.
Bob Daisley the best
Rip Gary Moore
Please don't forget Neil Carter on keyboards and backing vocals! Great talent!!!
Gary Moore lay down on the couch one night and never got up again! A nice death but unfortunately much too soon!
Can't forget Neil Carter, sensational
The man who saved the Music, saved by the Music himself!
this song is just something... speachless...
Back in the late '80s and early '90s Gary i wasn't listening to much other stuff than Gary Moore. Then times changed and i began to listen to other stuff. Still everytime i listen to him that old magical feeling from back in the days is there. Not only was he an extremely technical player but he also played with such emotion. The things he couldn't say in words he said through his guitar.
Yes.
Out of this world!
Да, один из величайших гитаристов композиторов, его слушать можно бесконечно!!!
A real guitar God
Gary shown us the way, we must walk on that way, not just enjoying is music. An angel come on earth not just to play guitar!! Music has saved my life an I never will forget it!!! Never!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH GARY!!!!!!!!

Too right.!!!
Gary Moore, one of a kind!!!He's one of the few who could make the guitar sing, cry and talk!!!❤
So so so brilliant and so so so under-rated.
WE WANT MOORE FOREVER.
This is my favorite version of empty rooms! Thank you so much for the post.
When I firstly listen to this song in 1984, I was stunned for the time being... At that time, I hold you Gary Moore and Michael Schenker in verneration. I miss you Gary...
Gary more is such a guitar player! His music has come everywhere.
Still bloody missed.... Absolutely amazing work
Gary moore was a Awesome Guitarist
thanks to Robert who turned me on to this particular version of the song which I had never heard before. Many thanks
oh the pleasure in the bassists eyes!!~
Gary was the king of Rock blues and SRV was the king of the blues Rock. Both were amazing
Just learned this live solos!🎉
これ以上に優れたギタリストを私は見たことがありません。
A Gifted player, left handed WTF!, Sublime player/vocalist, Loved the Wild Frontier/Still got the Blues era, Sadly missed, RIP Fella.
That was wonderful. Thanks for not spoiling it with commercial breaks.
Such an unbelievable intro. If im right it looks like he's using one of his single humbucker Seymour Duncan pickup Charvel Model 2's. Then again he could make any guitar sing, cry, scream yet always with such melody.
But Gary was beyond talented. He was a guitar geniuos the likes of which well probably never know again. RIP legend.🌟
It's An Active pick up 81
Saw Gary at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall in 2003. He had 6 guitars on stage....brilliant gig. Rip guitar meister
The Wailing and Tears of GOD for HIS children 😢❤Amen and HalleluYah

Well said, my friend. I have listened to Gary since my teenage years and he still blows me away at 50. There is no one like him.

For youtube to interrupt the maestro with ads is blasphemous . Thank you Gary

Played with such emotion, feeling and sincerity, yet incredible precision and technique. It's like if you mixed Mark Knofler with Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen
Great analogy!✌️💛🤘
His tones always touch my heart and soul,a great musician ,a terrible loss to our music industry .

I tried to copy, some gt soloes of Wolf Hofmann from Accept band. With Gary Moore's, i never had a chance to do like that. Please remember about Gary including as great singer too. ❤😊
Это сама любовь !
Had he not been addicted to alcohol, he may still be here. What a waste of a rare talent. RIP Garry Moore.
Like so many others, with so much talent, why do they need to escape into the bottle. Fame, wealth, property, talent.....the demon drink doesn't care what you have, it just takes it all.....
Saw him on this tour in Bham, great band backing him and a superb set.....
Que hermoso tema. Total geil.
Never heard him ... Like his lyrics...
