I'll be making some "how to use" videos on common home workout equipment over the next few weeks. I'm a bit concerned some people will think of them as "salesy." While I do sell fitness equipment, keep in mind that we already have many people that already have them and have been ACTIVELY requesting that I make more tutorials. This is just to help them. I totally understand if you don't want the tutorials. Feel free to skip them as needed! (Also, I'll try to provide free alternatives when possible).
I just wanted to say, thank you for being our brother. It just hit me today, my own brother died 30 years ago. It is nice having someone else to be a brother, Even if it's limited to social media. I just wanted to say thank you for that.
Hampton, these gym rings have changed my life (well, my workout, but with that kinda my life) I started with horizontal pull ups at chest height, now I already moved to hip height, I'm seeing constant progress, and last but not least: It's just waaay more fun to work out outside in fresh air, rather than in my basement with weights. So thank you very much for introducing me to this method, its amazing!
how are they holding up? I know he said that type of buckle is stronger, but from all the reviews of other gym rings with the same buckle, they tend to break easily.
Bought the rings and currently at the park using them for the first time I’m very satisfied with this purchase. The most fun I’ve had working out, I think calisthenics is for me.
Woo just ordered the rings. So tired of doin pull-ups under the stairs with my legs bent! That $5 bar was an insanely good investment, but now its nice out in summer so I know I can't go wrong with the rings. Thank you!
Thank you for making this video. Probably the best I've seen on this topic since it was short, well explained and addressed the practical challenges that are faced when setting rings up
just set these up for the first time and used them on my porch, already feeling that these are working muscles I have not used in years. Looking forward to more!
Champion, thank you! I got some rings as an early Christmas gift. I'm just about to leave wall pull up phase of my pullup journey and this will definitely help.
Thank you for this vid Hampton, your vids have helped me out a lot on my fitness journey. Trying to master pull ups now and your tutorial with the gym rings really resonated with me. Bought my rings today so I needed this vid to make sure I set them up correctly 😅
Hey Hampton, could you do a video on the ab wheel rollout? I really wanna do that in my core workouts but I can barely go down even when I'm on my knees
Thanks for this. You'd want to see the state of me trying to set my rings up in the garage a while ago. I'll try again tomorrow, having seen your video. I know it's not rocket science ... I'm just not really a strap guy. Thank you from Ireland!
These gym rings have been a tremendous help. Last year I struggled through doing my first pull up, but found progressions were difficult. I couldn't find a bar for inclines that would suit my short stature and I wasn't getting the joint build up needed. Also the assisted pull up machine feels clunky and weird. I'm love these. If you're hesitating on buying them, just get them!!!
What’s up Hampton thanks for the video on the beginner pull-ups cause I’m a big dude I mean I wanted to get back in shape with calisthenics I was able to to a lot of push-ups from the beginning of my life so those r natural but as I got older I got big and wasn’t able to do a pull up I was able to in highschool but those were the in shape days haha I miss those days but I am 290lb and got a pair of the rings with the straps and started to do the side pull up for a month and surprisingly I was able to pull myself up once but after that as I got stronger I’d just do one pull up at a time and sets of 5 and so on sure enough am able to do ten in a row and getting stronger thanks 🙏🏽
The look on your face after the second strap got tangled is the same look my dog gets when she tries to jump on the couch and misses! 😂Good stuff Hampton!
In a different video he showed how to make gymnastic “rings” out of PVC and rope. I love how he doesn’t really try to sell his products and shows alternate cheaper ways of getting the same experience.
Hello, just ordered myself rings and had no idea how to properly set them up. The little images that came with my order weren't helpful and I am thankful that you took out the guesswork. I also realized that just supporting myself with extended arms on these things is tricky... will be a while until I can do dips on them (I bought them as a dip-bar alternative).
You could get them anytime during your fitness journey. Theres a ton of regressions and progressions for basic moves. For example, if regular ring dips are too hard you could use your feet to help support your weight. The same technique can be applied to many other movements as well.
hi, i want to ask is there any exercise to strengthen your knee? i feel like my knee is getting weaker overtime , i usually felt like i cant lift any heavy weight and felt my knee not strong enough
Hmmm I’m not sure how many blokes have problems with this it seems quite easy . But thanks mate as I’m a few Roo’s short in the top paddock, and this saved me some greaff
Thank you for making this video. I bought the rings but could not figure out how to thread it through the buckle. It kept slipping. I did want to go back to the store and look foolish. I viewed your other videos to how to do chin up. Thanks again !
Both of my rings are a plastic material and one already snapped already, and it was the first day I received them. I figured I’m going to put the snapped portion on the rope part so it doesn’t chew up my palms when doing pushups or inverted rows
Tips for begginers so you dont damage your rings like I did (first use)! Put your clippers high up because sometimes they go down when you do more complicated moves. I forgot to adjust them once and now my ring has a small dent! Hope this helps!
Any suggestions for household features that can support body weight? Aside from a tree or building a rig, I wonder where I could throw rings to pull on
My daughter, a PE major, recommended your pull-up training video. I watched bought the rings and have started. I’ve got till June 30 to get up to a dozen! Question: How far apart should the rings be? Thanks!
How do you get the buckle to stop sliding down when you do anything on the ring without having to tie it? Because tying it I always get it slightly uneven lengths when it slides down inevitably

Someone just mentioned using these with their Isochain! What a good idea and no need to number anything.
So informative but more importantly the best vibes!!!!
I just bought a pair and that is how I set them up, but had my doubts. Thanks for clearing that up.
Hey Hampton, could you do a video on the ab wheel rollout? I really wanna do that in my core workouts but I can barely go down even when I'm on my knees

Hey Hampton, I'm wanting to get gym rings eventually. At what point would you think would be best to get gym rings for dips, pull ups etc.

Just the info I needed. Thanks.
Use a little fire on the cut end of the straps to melt/seal them and prevent fraying. Same with plastic ropes.
Thank you for making this video. I bought the rings but could not figure out how to thread it through the buckle. It kept slipping. I did want to go back to the store and look foolish.

is there a tutorial on what an ideal set up would be ? if I want to build a permanent outdoor set up?
you can use a lighter to lightly burn the ends if you cut it to get that nice hard edge again! :)
Hi Hampton, where do you get your music? it is very relaxing and calming. I would like to listen to it while i study
Hey, thanks man. Really helpful!

My favorite training tool
My daughter, a PE major, recommended your pull-up training video. I watched bought the rings and have started. I’ve got till June 30 to get up to a dozen!
Question: How far apart should the rings be?
Thanks!
It depends on how you feel the most comfortable.
The wider apart they are the more difficult it will be.
how are you doing with the challenge?
Unfortunately hurt my shoulder the more I tried. Had to change up my goal.
Brother Hampton 🙏🏻
I have a silly question please :
Do we keep the 2 belts distance shoulder width ?
Or can other (nice) guys help ?
🙈🙈🙈
super helpful video. just received my rings today! fyi, it would be sweet if this link was included in the package.
