It's funny because when you break down the world record you realise how absurd it is to even think anyone can get remotely close to it😂
yeah pretty crazy, dude has the 2nd fastest 60 split ever despite his start being considered his "weakness" and clearly the best top end speed ever, itd take something crazy to get near either of them, let alone get near both, let alone beat both
@@Someone-hi1nt Noah can run a 19.19 or 19.2 I think he has to be pushed Kenny is the man to do exactly that or if one of the other runners pushes Noah we could see a 19.20 or a19.19 pls note the weather has to be right Let’s Go Team USA 🇺🇸

On paper Lyles to win Kishane and Seville to challenge the others to spoil the party
@gohardnation7769
9.77 was with tail wind
9.81 was into headwind
If each race was 0.00 wind Noah's performance is actually faster
As per experts analysis. So it certainly is a toss up.
Thhough, if Kishane is at his best he has a 9.74 in him
Noah is the favourite just because consistency is one of the hardest things to master in any sport, and he has it. But someone else could absolutely pull off a great win, and their chances are definitely better than 4%.
Agreed. Mr 4% could absolutely steal it whilst the other two are showboating.
Nah, Noah only has a chance if Kishane declines to race. Noah got a PR this year and Kishane beat it twice by jogging 50% of the way. 🤣
He isn’t the favorite on any sportsbook
Go Lyles!
He’s the favorite because of marketing lol at no other Olympics would you come in NOT top two and be considered a favorite. He still has time to grow.
If Kishane doesn't crack under pressure. He will be a global superstar. There has simply been no one as hyped as this guy
Imagine if he actually goes close to,..... or even break Bolts record at some point.
@@Scalykams Agree he seems amazing. I'm fascinated though by how few races he's ever done either in prior seasons or this one. Clearly an incredible talent but almost a dark horse even to us that have known about him for a few years.
@@Scalykams Besides Asafa...who you know that cracked under pressure? The Kishane is like you
Kishane has the top time while Noah lyles has the consistency. So many others have the ability to run great times as well. No idea who wins, but I think it’s going to be a great race bringing a lot of life back to the 100m scene.
depends on if race count is factored into your consistency, kishane hasnt run too much but in the times he has run hes been very consistent and not even going all out
@@august6678 Kishane Thompson will win! God made you indecisive and me, decisive
@@JeeGo-Aries-KingNoah has the gold.
Noah is the fastest man on earth wdym-
The only three I consider gold medal contenders is Kishane, Lyles, and Seville. Kerley has been inconsistent, Omanyala only runs fast on his home track at altitude, and Tebogo's strength is the 200m and not the 100m. The real wildcard is Bednarek, as he's also breaking his 100m PBs and has been the most consistent sprinter other than Lyles.
What about Mr. Duck n hide, Lamont Jacob?
I tend to agree but I didn't think Kenny is fast enough to win gold. I honestly don't think he even gets a medal. Kerley is the wild card to me and I could see him continuing to improve through the finals. If he runs his PB he's likely winning gold but at least silver however he probably won't do that this season but he could still run fast enough to make the podium
Jamaica may run 1 2 3

3?...
Omanyala was third in last year's diamond league final. He can run fast anywhere
Tebogo stans, gather here. We will be there. While I understand there's people who've run faster than him this season. I believe he is the dark horse for the Gold, which is a bit weird considering he won silver last year. I believe in his ability to perform at championships.
+2000 odds. Not bad. Aka bet $10, you get $210 back. Biggest value is probably on Letsile honestly
@@CYMotorsportlike the way you think
Mona Tebogo is going to be the biggest upset 😂
I like him . I think he will get bronze behind Kishane and Seville
1. Thompson
2. Seville
3. Tebogo
Though very unlikely, the craziest thing that could happen is Tebogo winning somehow. It almost certainly won't happen, but it would be the start of his legacy if he does. After all, Tebogo might just have the highest potential in the field aside from Kishane. Regardless of if he wins or not, I want him to fulfill his potential so we see how talented he really is.
I see his potential as equal to Lyles. He's just started the 100m earlier in his professional career because he's from Botswana and you didn't have to be as good at the 109 to make the team. His PB wouldn't have made the us team this year and that's even with Coleman underperforming in the finals. He could end up faster than Lyles in the 100 but I don't know if he'll ever beat his 19.31 in the 200 because he hasn't shown the capability to even go sub 19.8 with any kind of consistency unlike erriyon knighton. We'll see though he's an exciting athlete to watch even if he does get a little over hyped right now
@@wesleyowens4089Tebogo overhyped? I don’t think so. The 100m might be his best event, idk why others think it’s the 200m. He’s only just gotten better in the 200m last year

In my opinion, Tebogo is the most dangerous. He is focused on this Olympic finals and it’s noticeable.
Also, Kerley is a serious sleeper, because he wasn’t even training. There was somethings going on with him off of the track, but he’s actually training again, and improving quickly. That’s why he thinks he can run 9.5. He jumped back in at the last minute and it shows that he’s just that good of an athlete.
Maybe after the first round, I will have a better idea. Cause right now, it’s still up in the air for me, but never underestimate Tebogo or Kerley.

@@Kevin-yq3go no way it was a 9.69, he didn't let off that early. Low, 9.7s for sure though.
Saying that Kishane lets off the gas at the finish line may NOT be accurate. That's just how he finishes by training or habit. He's done so consistently🤗
Yes similar to sha'carri or even Asafa Powell who had the same coach. The coach trains them to do that but it can come back to bite them like we saw with Powell several times
He does that to stay healthy.
Wait til he runs thru the line. He'll be running a 110-meter race in his mind when he does so...
@osuk1 That's how the Jamaicans train. He recently discussed it in an interview. He has been intentionally shutting it down early to prepare for rounds. In practice he's not running 100m times, he's just working on phases and technique.
He is letting off the gas intentionally. He isn't even worried about running fast, he already knows he's fast. He only cares about the technical stages and performing them how he's told. His people all know he's already faster than Lyles.
Remember that he's with coaches who have essentially dominated this race with male and female champions.
Jamaica has produced since like the 1950s or 60s. There have always been Jamaican sprinters at the top of the heap.
They're different over there. But one thing is for sure, the way they approach coaching their sprinters, it works. They get faster and faster. Kishane isn't a fluke, has no bad habits, and is finally healthy and ready.
I'm not sure how fast he is, I just know 9.77 is him when he's backing off the gas pedal.
@@SkyTurnsPurplePhotography You're right... only difference for the past 15 years is Jamaicans have been running for Jamaica instead of going to other countries.... Training and trials is all about technique and building towards the Champions

seville flopped so hard in the final i honestly feel sad for him
Usain Bolt's splits were actually 6.31 + 3.27.
Yep there is a mistake.
Ive said it before and ill say it again. Look at the races between Tebogo and Lyles and Kishane and Tebogo recently. In the case of Tebogo and Lyles, lyles was behind Tebogo for around 65 to 70m, but Kishane was in front of Tebogo from about 10 to 20m and he was jogging. So picture Noah going full pedal to the floor against Tebogo and only passing him at the 65m mark, with Kishane ahead of Tebogo and going full speed and keep in mind that kishane may have a top speed comparable to Noah.
At the very least, if you want to downplay the shear terror that is Kishane, its gonna go the the line on a photo finish, but for me, Noah winning this, short of a false start, injury or death of the hurricane, God forbid, is a pipe dream.
you got it. my sentiments too
Loving the community involvement recently!
at this point, even though Thompson has the fastest time this year (though you COULD factor in wind), all the gold contenders are nail-bitingly close time-wise this year, hoping for Lyles to show up when he needs to
Don’t count out Oblique Seville and Ferdinand Omeyala
I think Kishane Thompson will win the gold, I feel like he’s more ready/prepared for it than Noah Lyles is.
That being said Noah Lyles could still take gold, but I think a time under 9.77 will likely be achieved in this race.
The way I’ve always looked at it is that Noah lyles has been in these kind of situations before (think 2022 when Erriyon Knighton ran his 19.49 early on and nobody could see lyles running faster than him until the US champs). I would back lyles to get it done but then Kishane is faster with on paper and Seville is capable aswell. It’ll be a great race for sure
1. Kishane - 9.76
2. Noah - 9.79
3. Oblique - 9.79 😅
I’m hoping for a sub 9.80 race and I expect it to be a close one with the added pressure of the Olympics
As a South African it would break my heart to see Akani Simbine miss out on medals for the 3rd 100m Olympics in a row. If i'm not mistaken he came 4th or 5th Rio and 4th in Tokyo.
1st Noah Lyles 9.77
2nd Oblique Seville 9.80
3rd Akani Simbine 9.82
If Kishane can maintain shape he gets 1st in 9.73/4 and Akani misses out ):
Simbine wont be getting a medal.
just curious why you think kishane is running slower than 9.82
akani will be competing for bronze with tebogo. whoever gets it the other one misses.
Given the new mix in the track's material that should be at least 2% faster than others. So we should see a winner at 9.75 or faster. Kenny has gotten closer and closer to Lyles in both 100 and 200m. We know Kerley can run faster than he did this year. Has he found the form! Lyles is getting better and better in all aspects of a 100m race. Kishane is young and making strides but is injury prone. But what power in running. He has a decent start and a good drive phase. He can hold off Lyle's finish with a 1-2m lead until 85m. Oblique can break out of the deficit now but does he have enough top speed? Omanyala has a hard time when he is pitted against sprinters who have both better starts and other better top speeds. He never has the lead anywhere in the race and tenses up. Doesn't get maxed out like he gets as a favorite, relaxed at home in Kenya. Simbine's start is not good enough, 4-6 again. Tebogo's mother has passed away and he doesn't seem to have developed. Top speed not like Lyles. Lyles, Kishane, Oblique and Kerley are the hottest to win. Don't think Kerley will beat Kishane this year. Kishane must be second or one and the same with Lyles. Think everyone else gets to fight for bronze where Seville look to take home. Are there outsiders as well who can break into the final heat Richardsson from South Africa looks interesting. Unfortunately, Hughs has been injured. Had hoped he would have continued to develop into a runner under 9.8, but that is not the case. Hopefully next year. There is probably a Nigerian too who can make it to the final
I'm looking at Terrence Jones from the Bahamas to make the final. He's definitely capable of doing it but had a pretty rough outdoor season so far this year
You’re all
Making a mistake. Kung Fu will shock
The world . Watch him in the trials 100, he didn’t run a clean race and barely lost. He beat Lyle’s in the first 100 of the 200 and tied slightly at the end. I believe he’s busy being quiet and cleaning up the mistakes.
I’m with you
Kenny is a dangerous and determined man and he deserves RESPECT because he has the capabilities to win either the hundred ( 100 ) or the 200 m Team USA 1 and 2 and a possible 3🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 in the 200m and the 100m Team USA will take TWO ( 2 ) medals
Akani Simbani & Tebogo will shock
If Lyles runs high 9.7 in the 100m in Paris, I’m ready to believe he doesn’t run any faster than high 19.4 in the final either. Lyles is just one of those athletes where I just feel like his ability to possibly break records is severely limited by the fact he doubles unlike guys like Bolt, MJ, Tebogo and even Kenny who use each of their 2 events to build up their both their races. In other words, I feel like if Lyles ran solely the 100, he could quite literally be at 9.72 capability some time in his career. If he were to only run the 200m, I’m almost certain the World Record would be his. We know it won’t be an easy victory for him in the 100m, but I’m going as far as to say that he may win the 100 but it will come at the cost of his 200 title. He’s run a lot of races this season. So much so that he’s run nearly more races than Ackeem Kishane and Seville combined. I think it may finally give in on him
My thoughts exactly. When Noah run that 19.31 back in 2022, I feel like he could have broken the 200m world record in 2023, if he had solely focused on the 200m. Bolt run 19.30 in 2008 before he set the 200m world record of 19.19 in 2009 and it's true that Bolt was doubling in both years but not evey athlete can do it like Bolt. It's clear to me now that Noah Lyle's focus is on racking up medals other than breaking the world record.
"absolutely goated" - love it TRP
At the end of the day, it's about who can deliver at the biggest stage. Many times, Gatlin was running faster than Bolt all year but when it came down the major event when it mattered most, Bolt would win. So, I believe the same thing will happen here. Thompson might have the faster time and make it look easy but at the end of the day i believe come that final, Lyles will take gold.
Still, Kishane race to lose, as long as he can get through the rounds. Will admit his 9.77 was in a tailwind of +0.9, but he basically shut down well before passing the line and admitted the point was not to run very fast just make it 1st or 2nd to qualify. Then you have Noel, whose 9.81 in a headwind of -0.3 would basically put his run sub 9.8 near to Kishane's time if it was ran with a similar tailwind theoretically, but he ran hard in that to the line. Not saying Noel can't run faster just Kishane seem to have a lot more in the tank.
It's an interesting race, and can't count out Seville; the dude has a 9.82, which is nothing scuff at and seem well to run faster.
all i know is tobogo will be on the podium 100 and degrasse o the 200. they dont always win but they get that podium somehow
DeGrasse is the most underrated sprinter maybe in history... Never count him out...
Y'all forget that leading up to the World Championships last year, Noah Lyle's seasons best in the 100m was 9.94, no one expected him to make the podium let alone win gold in the final because the favorites last year were running 9.8 we doubted him, and out of nowhere he pulled off a solid 9.83 to win gold. So we're back at it again this year with the favorite running 9.77
Noah hasn't run under 9.80 but best believe that come those finals, Noah is going to pull off a 9.7 so unless Kishane has got a 9.6 in his pocket, I don't see him beating Noah. The other thing is.. at any world final, it's a game of nerves and no one handles their nerves better than Noah, it's his unmatched confidence that's going to get him that win.
Thank you for pointing this out. Everyone is busting a nut on the 9.77s that Thompson ran in June. No lies, it was very impressive. What many keep on saying was he slowed down after 70m. Nah, that man slowed down at 90m to 95m.
While Thompson was on the radar, he wasn’t the favourite going into the Jamaican Trials. Seville, by defeating Lyles earlier was the favourite. Now that Thompson ran that 9.77, he is now the favourite and all eyes are on him. A year ago, Hughes ran his 9.83. He came back during the British Championships and ran a 10.01 in a driving ran storm. Zharnel when into last year’s World as a favourite with Fred, as he was the defending world champion.
IMO, this race starts and ends at the first 60m. If Thompson could gap Lyles by several meters in the early stages, Noah won’t run him down. If Lyles is less than a meter behind or virtually even with Thompson, my money is on Lyles because he has shown he doesn’t make mistakes on that latter part of his 100m races.
The race gets crazier everytime you upload🤣
Bolt and Seville have the same coach. Thats the only reason why Bolt picked him😭
After analyzing all the top sprinters for this season. I came up with 3 names Kishane Seville and Noah, Seville can win depending on the start he ran 9.82 behind Kishane with a grind injury however report from his camp he is solid now after a visit to the German doctor . Honestly I think it's a Jamaican quinella.

6:25 wrong, because the 9.81s was into a headwind, so with some tailwind like Kishane Thompson had, Noah Lyles would've broekn 9.80s.
Yeah if you use the wind calculator, he should be able to run 9.72 with 2.0 m/s tailwind.
Kishane Thompson slowed down when he ran 9.77
Kishane Thompson is listed at 6’1”, 170 pounds. No *weigh* he is 170 pounds. He’s leaned out but he’s gotta be 190 at least. .
Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker were both 6’1”, 225-230 pounds in their prime. If either had focused on track only they’d probably be a carbon copy of how Kishane looks now.
We need to be talking about Kenny Bednarek. I predict a podium finish for him.
I have both Kishane and Noah running WAY under 9.75.
That's because Kishane looked like he has a scary and ridiculous potential and Noah because that 9.81 in other conditions was already a 9.75/9.77
That being said, I really think that those two, pushing each other and running for their life, plus Noah's motivation to become a true legend and Kishane's willing to know what he can really do, are set for one of the biggest race of all time.
This could really be the first time ever where 2 men could run under 9.70 in the same race
imo if kishane performs truly to his potential, he should win. but i also think that lyles could become the 4th american athlete to clock a pb of 9.76

@@jusbusff9306 sooooo he doesn't also continue to win??? Lol all he does is run his mouth but you forgot to also state that the man just wins!!! Come on bro...
@@jusbusff9306 ok brother.... one flew over the cuckoos nest I gather :-(

I'm scared that they're gonna have to push it so hard that someone tears a muscle. If Kishane can keep Noah out of his head, or his trainer has taught him how to use his grudge muscle, he's gonna win. But I reckon injuries apart sub 9.7 is not impossible. Adrenaline can be a beautiful thing
I wish them all the best,it's only that people focus so much on Noah Lyles and Kishane forgetting that there are other athletes who had registered good times this season I'm hoping for a surprise win from another athlete.
If every athlete show us peak performance, i don't see Lyles loosing it. Running under 9.7 for the final would be great. For the second place, they pretty much all compete for it, the level is very high, but i'll assume Thompson is a safe pick, running 9.77 is very impressive, even more if he was really slowing down at the end, and lastly, to me, Seville can cross the line in 3rd position. Sadly i dont think that they will break the ultimate WR this year, but they are clearly the best contenders we've seen in a long time 👍
The men’s 100 m final. It’s gonna be close but I’m gonna give the edge to Thompson Noah oblique Seville in that order, but in the real race anyone can win
bruv... tebogo is measuring his oponents... gold for tebogo
They all gotta make it through the prelims, semis& TO THE FINALS!!!! IJS🗣
Kishane run 9.85 in the diamond league last year though. Christian Coleman won that rave beating Lyles and Kishane but the time of the top 3 was insane
1 Lyles 9.78
2 thompson 9.83
3 tebogo 9.85
Thompson has fantastic technique and speed, but Lyles has race craft, which counts for a lot more at the Olympics.
But I'm not ruling out someone else stealing it whilst all the spotlights are on Thompson and Lyles. Mr 4% or even Jacobs could pull a rabbit out. No one rated Jacobs 3 years ago and look what happened.
If I'm being tortured for an answer I'll go with Lyles. He plays the psychology game better than anyone.
Whatever happens it's gonna be epic.
Best of luck to them, whoever wins this 2024 paris olympic in 100 meter is surely the best this season they are all the best. I hope that during the final race they all in good condition so that they can ran the best as they can.
Lamont marcell jacobs for sure 👌🏾
This race will be won with a 9.80. Just like last Olympics
Kishane 9.77 while slowing down at his best i dont see him losing. Even if noah were to run 9.77 we see where kishane could have gone faster than 9.77.
He could have go 9.68-9.72
Most of your subscribers ARE knowledgeable, but mostly American, I think. And Lyles is their man. Mine too....Noah in 9.80 my prediction.
@@jusbusff9306 Let's talk after the race.
@@jusbusff9306 tell me what you think will happen and what will be the winning time?
I was off by one two one hundreths of a second......that is that!
Some times runners run their fastest times before the Olympics and due to the fact that everyone must go through the heats then, the seminfinals and then the finals they lose steam and the winner can very well be anyone. If you watched closely in the last Olympics Lamont Marcell Jacobs did poorly in some races leading inot the Olympics and as bad as last place but he managed somehow to get the Gold.
I believe this is because he peaked just at the right time. With Noah Lyles he has mastered form speed and never panics when runners are ahead of him because he knows he can catch them at the very end, remember all it takes is a .01 of second to win. generally in my opinion it will take a similar size in height as Usain Bolt stood and speed to break the world 100 meter record. A shorter runner has to run faster steps to stay with a longer stride runner as Usain had a nice advantage.
9.77 or better to win the 100 bash ,it doesn’t matter who does it.
In my opinion, the most relaxed sprinter takes it and that man is Tebogo
All Noah’s 100m runs is like he’s running a final. But for the Jamaicans they shut it down at 80 meters. I respect Lyle’s but he’s not the typical 100m sprinter. For the 200m I won’t bet against him BUT I don’t see him on the podium for the 100
Noah has done everything right this season and knows how to peak for a championships. Feels like he's close to his 100m ceiling, and he'll find it reliably in the final.
The excitement is because of Kishane's ceiling: if he can perform close to his potential, even a perfect 100m from Noah won't be enough.
🇺🇲Head says experience...heart says raw talent! 🇯🇲
gooo KEYCHAIN!
It’ll take a 9.66 to win the Paris Olympics 100m
The semis will be a high pressure race, as the field is so deep. The favorites will still need to run a 95%+ effort to not be upset by 3-4 others of running a PB. Which carries a lot of mental fortitude to run their 2nd and last rounds in peak performances.
i think the head janitor of the sports stadium surprises us all and races in the men's final 100m and finishes in the TOP 3.
As this track is set up as a Fast track surface, the runner with best 2nd half speed has advantage of kinetic momentum acceleration resulting in possible PB in 2nd half of race, pending on their position at half way point. Kishane is insanely strong in 1st half, Noah has the 2nd half momentum kick speed gear.
What is the best place for olympix news? I want to see the actual races for everything!
If you have the Peacock App, you can see most, if not all of it.
I watch it on NBC they post races fast, but they usually spoil the winner
Darude Sandstorm
Peacock will have all the events. Just subscribe for the week and unsubscribe after. It'll cost you like 8 bucks
If you are a US citizen then it's NBC/Peacock.
kerley not making the final mark my words
All i can say, its going to be some Surprises &Upsets!!! Buckle Up, for a Magnificent Race...
Lets do this USA 🇺🇸
I like Lyles; he’s a great athlete who has run some of the fastest times in history in the 200 and is also really fast in the 100, but there’s no way you can’t have Kishane as the favourite imo. The only way I really see Kishane losing the final is if he either false starts, or he crumbles under the pressure (like Asafa did). But from what I’ve seen, that doesn’t seem very likely. With good conditions, I see Kishane most likely running the low 9.7s (how about 9.73 - no one’s ever run that time before!), with Noah going mid to high 9.7s. Seville SHOULD finish 3rd (going high 9.7s - he might not though because he does tend to tighten up in finals). If Noah DOES win, then I’ll take back all of this, however he would have to literally run the race of his life in order of do so.
No one will break bolt’s record unless the runner is at least 6’3
You may pick em up and put em down with the best of em but can you bound and cover ground like
Safa
Bolt
Etc
I hate to say it but Kishane sure did put on some mass and speed quick.
He ran 9.83 last year and he's virtually the same size 😂😂😂... Jamaicans have always dominated the sprints... The only difference is they're opting to stay in Jamaica instead of running for different countries
My hot take from a couple months ago: Lyles wins with a 9.69
Very hot take lol, but even if Lyle’s has a perfect race I feel like for this season 9.75 is his ceiling. I hope he proves me wrong though.
@@Jaaaaaaaayy1I just want an American to beat gatlin. Maybe not this year but eventually. I know we have Tyson gay but that was too long ago. Honestly I would like to see anyone run under 9.74 so we can start to get people to actually talk about current sprinters and quit living in the 2008-2012 era
Starts too slow. Never running faster than 9.75
mathhew boling with a world record
Never gonna happen bud
You see the final line for podium odds at draft kings? I took Kerley at +700 a long time ago. ZERO clue why it closed at +140. What do you make of the tightening lines all favoring American runners? Is Seville being slept on at +150 for a podium? Bettors seem to think the podium will be Noah, Kishane, Fred. Which I think is accurate just didn’t expect the lines to reflect that given such a deep field
5:47 pm greetings and blessings from Kingston Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲. Kishane Thompson 9!78
Oblique Seville. 9.90
Noah Lyles. 9.91
With or without tailwind - Kishane has the speed to beat. Noah has the experience in big events. While the limelight has been squarely on these two, elite world-class talents are all trying to peak on the final; so we don't even know their cards yet.
Olympic Heats and semi-finals will be an indicator on their current forms. I would look for their splits and how much they are slowing down
What's even harder for athletes at this level is to execute their perfect performance when it matters(Ex - Su Bingtian in the last olympics).
Lyles is clutch. We don't know about Kishane. But let's not sleep on the others...
Dang, that's gravitational constant record 🥳
This race just showed me that Great Britain might have 🇬🇧 have a nice 4x1 😅
They will. They always do. However if the US and Jamaica (mostly the US) actually handle the baton passes well gb is looking at bronze
Kishane Thompson to win OR of 9.62. This race will be talked about for decades to come.
no ones running a low 9.6, sorry
Lyles has been running the 100 for several years now. If he can't run a sub 9.7 time now and especially on this track in Paris, he never will run it.
He isn't getting any younger and those coming up behind him are significantly younger and eventually will be faster than him. All his talking has painted a target on his back unnecessarily actually.
If he doesn't win, based on his statements there will be some very dark times ahead. It's his to lose so let's see what happens.
