PGE Narodowy is great, it even held volleyball match twice. But concert on Narodowy is a lottery, it is very difficult to get proper sound in every spot. BTW It is not a basket it is a nest for the Eagle our national emblem. The concert list was 'simplified', some artists played here few times during different tours.

Great video about Narodowy. One tip: In Polish, we always stress the penultimate syllable. If you could pronounce it as 'War-SZA-wa,' changing just this one element would make a huge difference in how your Polish is assessed by native speakers.
I was there on an opening game Poland vs. Serbia (PL won 3:0) of the Volleyball World Cup Championships 2014. It was an amazing event with amazing atmosphere

PGE Narodowy has two colors, white and red, that come from our national flag, when national team plays, the stadium lights in our flag colors. Then it really looks stunning.
From the right spot and angle this stadium also looks like a crown and a medieval kings tent.
1:15 Actually it is used a lot. All Polish National Team's matches (except for friendlies) and the final of Polish Cup is played here.

Nice looking statdium. And a roof! Australia keeps talking about building rooves. A lot of the recent summer concerts here got rained out as usual..but they never learn.

Kazimerz Gorski - from whom the stadium is named after - was the best Polish football couch - winning 1972 Olympic gold, kicking out England from World cup qualification in 1973 and winning 3rd place in the World Cup itself, in 1974 - beating there the likes of Argentina, Italy and Brazil.
The stadium cost 500 million pounds. In Poland, children and teenagers practice several classes in small rooms during PE lessons!
This stadium is also the place of many big concerts like recently of Beyonce or Harry Styles. In August this year Taylor Swift will play 3 concerts there

Go into metro last carriage and go out at Wawrzyszew station and just head north. Surprise ;) just get some nuts for squirrels. Head through Nature2000 preserve to Kępa Potocka. Fckn AMAZING burgers and ice cream joints nearby

PGE also hosted Drift European Championship last year and they chose it again for this year finale. Great atmosphere during concerts and games tho

I was once at the National Stadium in Warsaw. And it wasn't a football match or even Speedway.
I was there to watch three crazy guys from the UK: Richard "The Hamster" Hammond, Jeremy "The Orangutan" Clarkson And James "Captain Slow" May 🤪

I go to the National Stadium every year for the speedway championships. Whether it's a world championship or a smaller one. You must see this stadium during sporting events. He lives his life. There are also indoor windsurfing championships there, etc. As for concerts, I think that the acoustics are not the best in this stadium. Sound designers have to work a lot to make it good.
Fun fact: among some people it's known as "basen narodowy" ("the national swimming pool") since a particular match 😅

Stadium nice, atmosphere zero. On countries like Ireland or Wales less than 1000 polish fans are louder, than the entire stadium during a national football match. People act, like they're on picnic and the quality of food served there is trash, overpriced, that a dog should not eat this. It looks nice and it only looks nice. Nothing special, nice looking stadium without a life inside.
You say about food, but isnt most food in stadiums overpriced and poor quality? :D
@@CharlieandRob Yes, it is, the less known team in Poland - better food. But main problem is not just food, it's lack of atmosphere. Any league game also with 5000 viewers or less has much better atmosphere, than during national team on PGE Narodowy. Picnic vibe instead of supporting players, so that in TV they have to boost audio sometimes or play drums from playback etc, because it's so quite :D
I'm a polish person. I've been there twice. Once on Roger Waters - The Wall (stunning performance) and AC/DC gig. And sound was really good. On this stadium sound is a lottery.

Gdyby Chorzów dostał zupełnie nowy, nowoczesny stadion, ale Śląski został tylko przebudowany i ma konstrukcję przestarzałą. Nazywany jest naleśnikiem. Widok z trybun Narodowego jest znakomity, o czym mówił Rob, natomiast na Śląskim jest dużo gorzej pod tym względem. Zbyt płaskie trybuny, po prostu.
