I've worked in a road-side (well, highway-side) Polish McDonald's for 2 years; it really wasn't bad, I'm sure it depending on what people you work with. Couple of insider thoughts: 1) The Maestro - Polish McDonald's has seasonal menu items (especially in Winter, when everyone swarms to get the Lumberjack Sandwich (Kanapka Drwala)). The Maestro line started as seasonal items, but as far as I'm aware they've become a more regular now. 2) The WieśMac (from the word 'wieś' - village/countryside) is uniquely Polish, a sandwich with the addition of onions and horseradish sauce. 3) The Chikker originally started off as a part of the side/small hunger line with regular Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, etc. Back when they would cost 2-3 PLN. 4) I recommend checking out the breakfast side for avocado or cottage cheese/quark McMuffins 5) Shaken chips seem to be the most recent addition, copied from the US. This one's sour cream and pepper. I'm taking some McDonald's Insider Q&A if y'all are interested :D
WieśMac is a wordplay. Wieś mean village. But wieśmac sounds like wieśniak which is an insult suggesting that someone dont know how to behave. So if i would want to translate this i would call that "Pleburger"(pleb-burger).
Wieśmac, Farmers McMuffin, Maestro and McCrispy are my favorite burgers from Polish McD. Your Maestro is messy, because normaly they put them in some papier pocket. And WieśMac sauce is horseradish-mayo. Also in past McD in Poland had more limited time burgers like BigTasty, The M, PolishBurger (pork patty and sauerkraut), or one with slice of beetroot and sour creme (i don’t remember name but it was for short time because of Euro 2012 in Poland).
Recently you said what are you doing with your life, watching childish writings on the walls made by fans? and today I'm asking myself what I'm doing with my life when I'm watching an Englishman eating at a Polish McDonald's 🤣🤣🤣
Its odd that you did mention the "quality" of the food though. British McD patties are like wet cardboard discs whereas in Poland I find it a little closer to actual food
when I used to go to school in Bialystok 15 years ago my hamburger from McDonalds always looked like a gum, never crispy one- just 2 slices of pickles, a meat, some ketchup, maybe a slice of tomato ... better idea was buying cheeseburger and paid slightly more for extra snack.. but it was cheap burger.... literally a pocket sandwich..
@@RobReacts1 ha not all the time as she can be fookin nuts!!! Been together 18 years, still can't speak polish to my shame... 15 year son is fluent though and 3 year son will be also.
The shaker fries we've had on and off for years in Australia. The last one we had was chicken salt (other flavours i recall were spicy cheeseburger, sour cream and onion etc). I only ate mcdonalds fries while travelling but I remember McDonald's Amsterdam had the dutch fritessaus with their fries, which i love. Tomato sauce with fries is overrated imo. Give me fritessaus, aioli, sweet chilli or barbecue.
The McRoyal is the clostest to the quarter pounder :) The WieśMac is similar to something like the Whopper from burger king The Chikker is my favourite, so I get four of those whenever I go to McDonalds We've also got this really special burger that is only being sold in the winter season, it's called the Timber Burger, or Burger Drwala. It's the best thing on the menu, I'd love to see you try it out!
I was in McDonald's at lower Manhattan NYC and it was totally not worth sigle cent. We was waiting 30 for our order, my son who loves cheeseburgers didnt even finishe his one. He said it was terrible.
I was once on bussiness trip in Italy - Milano to be exact. After rough day we went to McDonalds. The Menu was so basic and plain that I couldn't belive that. There was literally like 3 burgers on Menu and fries... and nothing else. It wasn't long ago - maybe 3 years back. So I kinda appreciate Polish McD. It's still s*** (obviously) but at least more sophisticated piece of s***. Also our Italian counterparts took us somewhere what suppose to be "authentic Italian restaurant" and of course served us Pizza. I'm not saying it was worse than in Poland but wasn't better either. I would say it was an avarage Pizza you can buy in Poland. They also took us to another place with again "authentic Italian maccaronie". I mean... we Poles know how to make maccaronie and it was basically the same we do in Poland. Nothing really special. Not saying it was bad - but I was expecting from the country which invented it to be Superb compared to what we do here. Disclamer - it wasn't. Same s*** my wife gives me any other day - really.
