- Nick is attacked by Pierce's Löwen side. He manages to subdue the Löwen part of Pierce, leaving him in his human form.
From Grimm Season 2, Episode 8 "The Other Side": A high school student is killed by a lion-like wesen following an academic quiz. Nick and Hank join the investigation just in time to discover more murders of people connected to the quiz.

Pierce is quite possibly the most tragic character in the whole series. Can you imagine being a peaceful creature that would never harm a fly and suddenly being aware that one side of you is a ruthless killer, capable of killing your own friends and loved ones? And the supreme irony is that Pierce's Lowen side is actually genuinely convinced that he is "looking out" for Pierce and he doesn't understand the pain he is causing to Pierce's Genio Innocuo side. A sort of thing like the Symbiote relation with Peter Parker: the Symbiote actually "loved" and cared about Peter and, in his simple animal like feelings, believed that augmenting Peter's aggressive side was necessary and useful adaptation to the world, not realizing that he wasn't living anymore in a "kill or be killed" world.
Wait a minute I did not know that about the symbitoe. Pretty weird tbh.
@@zcgamerandreacts2762 in some incarnations it’s why it was so angry. It wasn’t just rejected by a host, it was rejected by someone it genuinely loved and was only trying to help. Just picture the absolute rage it must have felt. Not understanding why it was in the wrong

@@vexxama that’s why in the Spectacular Spiderman series Venom is one of my favourites. Because Eddie and the symbiote didn’t just bond over their hate for Peter, they bonded over their feelings of betrayal towards someone they considered family.
Wesen puberty would be bad enough change wise without having to deal with 2 sets of triggers
This episode always made me sad, he actually could’ve had a good life, but thanks to his helicopter mom pushing him so hard she ruined his life before it even began cause she was so hellbent on him being the best. Really wish we had some follow up episodes, characters and stories like this were always really interesting

I pity the prison that he will be sent to. One side of him looks like prey and when predators on prison will try to prey on him, Lowen, the apex predator will tear them into shreds.

One of the times where Nick being a normal helped matters: he saw Pierce's true form and stopped Nick from doing his worst.

@@lamario295 like the way how Nick killed Adalind's hexenbeist half with his blood, Kelly's Grimm half should be supressing his zauberbeist side. The key word is supress, it doesn't mean Kelly cannot woge into a zauberbeist when needed.
As for the triplets, I hope each of them look different as a wessen, like one is a blutbad, another is a fuxpiao, and the 3rd is the natural hybrid, the runt of the litter, but also the strongest of the 3. That way, if they do make a spinoff with the next generation, each triplet has a major defining character trait and let them grow from there.

Back then I actually didn't see THAT coming, the lion AND turtle in one body, that's like having both brain and power equally strong, at the cost of mental (the double personality thingy)
I hope they bring the show back in a few years so that we can see what the triplets puberty would be like.

When I found out it was going to be removed from Netflix I binged the whole series in 2 weeks. It was my first time watching, 12-14 episodes a DAY, and boy, do I miss those days. I love it so much, I can't wait for the time it is on Netflix again and I can rewatch.

Props to the stuntmen who worked on this; some of them are taking gnarly bumps in the fight scenes
Always pitied the kid. No matter what jail he gets sent to, his prey-personality will inevitably attract the attention of the predatory Wesen inmates around him, as well as humans, and his predator-side will have to emerge constantly, to keep him save. He will never get a chance to calm down and gain control over it.
All because his mother, although well meaning, tried to cheat nature.
Natural hybrid are rare, usually the strongest gene will take over while the weakest will be eleminate.
This was a Great plot twist! When I first watched it I absolutely not expected that. And there are so many more

after all the times that Hank & Nick have called for an ambulance, you'd think that the ambulance guys would have started to wonder what is up
Damn Nick is hella strong
It actually makes me wonder at the differences between Grimm and normal humans. A normal person can fight a wesen if they know what they’re dealing with, but eventually the wesen’s natural strength will win out, the surprise that a human knows what they are will wear off, or the human’s luck will run out (usually all three). But Nick was able to fight two of the best professionals the Reapers had and win quite handily. Not to mention the berserk wesen that he sometimes comes across. It makes you wonder what else is different about the Grimm, and if they really aren’t closer to the wesen than anyone realizes.

This was their Jekyll and Hyde episode. Interesting idea, but I thought the idea of his mother doing genetic engineering on him before he was born complete bull.

Please please! I'm begging you to bring this show back. It's not fair that it only had 13 epidsodes of the last final season. I will pay anything for it to come back,I'll open up my check book. we never got to see if Nick's son would become a Grimm or a Zauberbiest or Rolaslie and Monroe's babies are hybrids. If you give me contact to NBC I will ask them to bring this show back. That is a promise and it will be exciting as hell.
I loved this series, but wanted more of finding out about monsters and figuring out how to deal with each scenario, i didnt really like the whole bigger plot thing though it was fun i prefer the simple times.
