It’s good to see that some of the technical issues like the actual size of the providence dreadnaught compared to a regular providence
The providence is a multi purpose ship while the star destroyer is a dedicated battleship, with fighter support the star destroyer can deal a lot of damage
I always saw the providence as more of a battleship than a carrier (considering its armament and design), the Invincible was a true Providence dreadnaught

idk
because it is a republic ship called the imperator-class Star Destroyer, the republic built some before the empire and this one was not equipped with tie fighters because they were not the republics primary fighter craft.

Considering the Star Destroyer is newer and the Providence is Older and has less life forms on it because it is a Droid ship but still manages to Fully Destroy the Star Destroyer with the Fighters you must think it was stupid of Palpatine to Eradicate the CIS armies it would have been better to keep them as allies for Far away Planets.
Star desteoyers did not engage bigger ships without escort of frigates

it's almost as if stormtroopers and full biological armies were introduced to star wars waaaaaaaaay before there was any meaningful CGI capability in real life and those have been added 22 RL years later by the same director when making up stuff that played before what was filmed 22 years ago... and now somehow the story has to fit real life...
i know it's wild.... but just imagine!
