Once we got to the acceleration strip, we found that the length of this vehicle's name is equally absurd as its straight-line speed. If you are going by the cars you tested then the Signature X P90DL you guys had was an “L" , I just went back to your website and watched a video of someone pressing the Ludicrous button which gives it a 2.9 0-60 time, roll out or not, it’s much quicker than that GLC you say is quicker. Don’t line that 63 up next to your old Test car because the AMG doesn’t hold a chance off the line.

This SUV is fast but just listen to what 'The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds' says about it. He says that it goes from 0 - 60 mph in 3.3 seconds (which seems correct) but then goes onto to say it goes from 0 - 100 mph in 3.8 seconds (57 second - 1+ min. mark on his video/link below). The 3.8 second 0 - 100 mph claim would make this Benz faster than a McLaren 720s, La Ferrari, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari 488 Pista, & Lamborghini Huracan Performante up to 100 mph. Yeah right! LOL Car & Driver only manged a 0 - 100 time of 8.1 seconds for this SUV.

Put on a road segment, a little bit better editing, and I don't think this would be any different than old Ignition Episodes. It's fantastic he's still doing this.

Yeah I was just watching some of the older ignition episodes. They are WAY better than what Motor Trend produces now, the newer ones feel overproduced and not genuine enough.
I was okay with a lot of the episodes but yeah they sometimes just went waaay to over the top, also was mad they pretty much killed the community for their site.
I don't see the problem with posting things a month later on youtube, and you would pay for early access on Motor Trend on Demand. They'd still make tons of money and their site wouldn't have completely died.

it’s a clear wrap. You can see it clearly when you look at the front emblem, they trimmed it around it. They know the car will be sand blasted on the track and those cars later go to auction as program cars. They can sell it as it is with the wrap or remove it and it’s like new underneath.

BTW It now the fastest SUV on the planet. It just lapped the nurburgring in 7:49!

Well done. I have the same vehicle / color on order, but with the Performance Seats. 3.2 second SUV with a twin turbo-charged V8...makes perfect sense!

@@neil_sol For me, a 3-hour trip is a long haul, and I find them to be perfect. They're a great blend of performance, luxury, and comfort in my opinion. And for daily driving, it's like jumping into a sports sedan with highly supportive seats. Highly recommended! Oh, and I am in Ohio...

Why the fuck do all these people forget that these things all have trap speeds that are not terribly impressive. Sure it gets through the quarter mile quick but doesn’t break 120. Most sports cars making it in the 11s are over 120...

Well there are amg 43’s and 63’s and some have amg 65’s
AMG tells you it's the performance model. The number tells you the engine size, so you need both. Just like BMW has their M series.
@@Darion350: The number used to tell you the engine size a long time ago but it doesn't anymore. This AMG has a 4.0 liter engine not a 6.3 liter engine. So the 63 doesn't tell you much other than it's a higher version than an AMG 43.
