I've been dreaming of doing this - working for myself. I have a good job in HR and grateful that it has been supporting my family, but I am feeling depressed stuck in an office for 8-10 hours per day. I have been slowly working on an exit plan, acquiring equipment, buying materials. I'm also a professional photographer so that could be another source of income. The olan is to be all set before January 2025. Do you suggest focusing one 1-2 products? Or all types of work?
I want to buy an embroidery machine in order to use it to embroider the kitchen set or the baby bedding set that I am sewing... because it adds a wonderful touch... Thank you for the motivation.❤
If you billed your customer for these embroidery designs in these amounts, how do you account for the cost of the items. For example, are the approx $37 pjs including the pjs and the embroidery ?
What I charge them includes the cost of the item I’m embroidering unless they provide the item to embroider. In this case, I did. They already had their towels, robes and pjs in their possession as the wedding was 2 days away, they only rush was the napkins which still needed to be done.
hi Cindy I'm based in Fl this would be a dream come true as my corporate career comes to an end. if you do t mind what was your initial investment for your new business and would you consider a consult? thank you
Really? I just can‘t believe that. How expensive must one shirt or onzie be then? In spite of all the costs. Donˋt understand me wrong, everything you sew & embroider is very beautiful. But earning money with that is nearly impossible where i live.
Shirts cost depends on complexity but usually around $28-$35 depending on ring on if there are pearls etc. Tutus are roughly $50. Again, depends on how many layers of ribbon, type of ribbon, etc. Most outfits are high $60’s to $80. Our Royal 5-ness is always closer to a hundred.
Because I don’t list them for sale. I make them if someone I know asks me to. Same if you have a friend who asks you to make her daughter a Minnie tutu outfit. I don’t list copyright items for sale on my website or Etsy. But, like we all know, the files are available to buy on Etsy for you to embroider for almost any character
I had way more than I expected left. Just need another embroidery machine and now an industrial serger which I never had before. I pretty much have what I need other than that.
Oh! Love it Cyndi... Great to see you again!

Hey there. It’s called Embrillance ☺️super easy to use
Does the bride furnish the napkins or do you have them in stock? Does $7.95 include the napkin?

That’s unfortunate, sorry to hear that.

I am surprised you haven't been dinged by Disney for copyright infringement for the mouse ears. How are you avoiding that?

Do you wish you hadn’t got rid of all your embroidery stuff?
I had way more than I expected left. Just need another embroidery machine and now an industrial serger which I never had before. I pretty much have what I need other than that.
I just purchased an industrial serger and I’m in love with it!!!! It’s so quiet!!!
@@deenawillis1597May I ask what which serger you got?
Welcome back❤
