    I own a 2011 335d and I drove it from Alaska to Mexico and back. Everything is still stock and I got 619 miles to the tank. (Personal best record) No tunes, nor mods.
    I love my car! And, my x6!!! :D

    Yup hands down. I have a 2011 BMW 335d. Extremely fun to drive every day. The previous car was a mere 318i that lasted me 13 years 175k miles.

    So what are exacly the mods you have done to the car to get it to 400bhp ? did you not have to change the injectors/turbos/oil cooling system?? Also what year is your e90?

    Since this video and the deletes and tune....have you had any carbon or injector issues?? I just bought one and don't know if delete is better or ext warranty. Please let me know problems you've had. Thanks.

      Hey Barry! Glad you enjoyed it! It's the stock exhaust, just gutted all the way, except for the mufflers at the end.

    Would you recommend buying a low mileage one without the paddle shifters? It's hard to find any with under 50k miles that have the sport package.

    How does it handle the snow? Could it get you from point a to b as your only car in the snow? just moved up north so debating what I should do in the winter... Do you put weight in the back? Winter tires are a must I'm sure?

    • @FlyinGato
      @FlyinGato  7 лет назад

      If you're driving this in the winter, winter WHEELS and tires are a must. Get narrower wheels and a good set of winter tires. Once you get that, you'll be fine as long as you're careful. With that said, I've driven this in the snow, it's fun, and as long as you're comfortable sliding your way home, it'll do just fine.

    Have the same year, 2011, with the sports pkg... I certainly love the car as well... The mpg, torque, and the sound system. I wish it were a little bigger, and I sometimes think I should have brought an a7 tdi when it was available (but I would have had to deal with the emissions fiasco). The other major thing is the reliability... yet to do a delete and I think it is the next step bc it constantly needs something related to the emissions!

    • @FlyinGato
      @FlyinGato  7 лет назад

      trust me, take care of the emissions system and EGR, do that one carbon cleanup, replace the harmonic dampener and change the tranny oil every 80k miles, you'll be good to go for a VERY long time (granted you follow the rest of BMW's recommended maintanance, like the fuel filter every 20k miles)

    I got the same looking car. Got the JR 2.8. Have you taken yours to 1/4 track, If so what was your time? Also, which tune do you have?

    • @FlyinGato
      @FlyinGato  7 лет назад

      Hey I haven't taken it to the track yet, but cars with the same tune I have are getting mid 13 second quarter miles. I have the BPC stage 2+ tune, close to 400 horsepower and 600+ pounds of torque

    • @FlyinGato
      @FlyinGato  7 лет назад +1

      AWESOME!! I just looked it up, that tune is running higher boost and more fuel than mine. I chose the safer stage 2+ tune from BPC, they do offer a stage 3 with higher boost, but I wanted to keep this as reliable as possible. Awesome pull, BTW

    I have a 335d but have been afraid to tune it because there are so many known issues around carbon buildup in the cylinders. Do you know about this issue and does your tune make it better or worse? Also, what did the mods cost you? Thank you in advance.

    • @FlyinGato
      @FlyinGato  7 лет назад +7

      Hey Scott, the reason I got it tuned in the first place was to get rid of all the problematic areas this car has (they are all emissions related). EGR delte, straight pipe from the headers down, remove SCR system, tune it and you're pretty much set. You may get carbon buildup, but instead at around 80k miles, it will be more like at 160k miles. The only other thing that may need changing after a tune and ABC delete is the harmonic balancer. The tune, all included with straight pipes down pipe, EGR delete and everything, cost me 2400 dollars, well worth it in my opinion...

      that's really odd, J Bohl is really the best, he even manufactures the downpipes himself. Contact BPC tuning down in Georgiea, they may be able to point you in the right direction. I think Northeast Motorsports can also do these types of upgrades (they are in north NJ)

    • @FlyinGato
