First you roll your Battle die and only after is up to you whether you want to use your Battle Track to modify the result. We made the same mistake :)

You forgot to add a deckhand to your first trapdoor you frew from the bag. It's my understanding that when a trap door is pulled, so is a deckhand go on the board with it.

I loved the artwork and production of the game but unfortunately the gameplay was too fidly for me so I sold it.
