  • Eating maktak (bowhead whale skin and fat). It’s a delicacy in our Iñupiaq culture and is a sustainable food source for our people up here in the arctic. Adii that frozen maktak is hard to cut! Lol #asmr #maktak #inupiaq #sustainable #inupiaqtraditions #traditional #inupiaqpride *muktuk *bowheadwhale

    Just a reminder that it does seems good! But the animal are in extinction, it's normal for the inuit culture to keep eating them because their way of chasing them is more sustainable, but we don't have to try it too because it's will lead to the disparation of the animal

      I think that it's ok to eat if you're in the Arctic, and if you are given a piece of muktuk. I've seen foreigners being taught how to hunt, too.
      I'm not an Inuk but I would love to try out country food.

    • @blackcitroenlove
      @blackcitroenlove 2 года назад +1

      Just the use of the Latin alphabet to write the language. Some Indigenous languages have a modified Latin alphabet in use, while others (like mine, Cherokee) has its own writing system.
