That man playing guitar is a recording industry Legend. He was Kenny Loggin's Producer that just wanted to make sure Kenny got off to a good start in his career by Sittin' In with his investment. It took Clive Davis to talk him into joining as a duo with Kenny and the rest was history
I've seen Loggins and Messina perform at least 10 times over the years. Enjoyed each and every concert as they have never failed to completely entertain!
One of the best duos of all time. Kenny Loggins had/has one of the strongest most versatile voices in the biz. Both of them churned out some of the most memorable standards in music history.
They were a great band. The last time I saw them was at Bethel Woods,( Woodstock), in 2009. The opening act was Poco. What a great show. I love Loggins and Messina.
Jim Messina, Poco, the band that showed everyone how to do country rock ! One of the most under appreciated bands in history of music.Eagles took 2 bass players from them so they could sound better and it worked! Just my opinion and I'm sticking to it!
Messina has a consistently good voice! Saw him with Poco once. I wish they'd play more locations than Hollywood in 2022. Would love to see them together!! I have a lot of their music, & many of Loggins' solo collection.
Listening to Jim Messina on his early albums inspired me to play a Fender Telecaster, i have 2 of them. In this video he plays the Stratocaster go 2 of them also!!
Wow. They even sound better today. The harmonies and lead sound unbelievably strong, which is not always the case for older artists. Theses older songs still sound contemporary and not dated at all.
Really Good stuff. I love this song as well as the entire "Sittin' In" album. This is a 2005 performance from an album released 44 years ago these guys sound amazing. This album is special to me. About the time it came out I was in the Navy stationed in Maine. While driving home on leave to Cincinnati in a barely roadworthy '65 VW Bus across the very wide state of Pennsylvania. Middle of the night I was able to tune in an FM "album-play" type station and got to hear this. It was so good. I've loved it since. Good to see this guys still had their stuff (in 2005) after so many years.
When I was discharged from the Navy in 75 all the sailors in my division that were in my section chipped in and bought tickets for my girlfriend and I for Loggins& Messina at the Seattle Center. What a magical evening.
Went to MANY loggine and mess ina concerts since a teenager i wish they would get together One more time!!!!! ... BTW.. Mama danced and dadie rocked and rolled lol!!!!😅
Nice that they got back together, in Messina's backyard....,this is beyond comprehension...,what music can do to your soul...,the playing is so in the pocket...,Messina never fails to get a band together that can really play...,and Loggins, well...,the tall and lanky stranger..,strolls into town and everybody turn their heads....,wow
James, same here. Lived down the street on South Milpas St. I rode my bike up to the bowl for many shows. Just a perfect venue and always a magical night. Some of tut he best times in my life.
Oh that sax…just a little peace of mind. 🙏

Love to be 18 yrs old and return to 1973, when every thing they sang was a hit.

Jim wrote Peace Of Mind and Kenny hit it out of the park. What a performance!

Wow. They even sound better today. The harmonies and lead sound unbelievably strong, which is not always the case for older artists. Theses older songs still sound contemporary and not dated at all.

At 5:18 Kenny Loggins ... totally unleashed, unhinged, off the hook, out of sight and dynamite!!!!!
Perfect
Top 5 male duet harmonies. No particular order. L/M; Everly Bros; Simon/Garfunkel; Seals&Crofts; hall/oates
Let’s not forget Milli Vanilli!🤪
Add from a decade prior, the original L/M - Lennon & McCartney.
