Great example .... when we get more and more on SRS, this feature on SoW is a total game changer. We've seen the cat and mouse scenario that develops on SoW when both sides have controller support ..... Supreme fun and intense action.
im really curious if the warbirds in DCS are worth it over IL2. i know there have been a ton of new additions added in lately and the new "Channel" map.
I think that the quality of the modules in DCS ww2 are far better than that of IL2. However, their choices of the actual aircraft in DCS are a bit strange for PvP as the mix of when the aircraft were built are quite different so their performance are greatly different. IL2 does a good job at capturing like-era aircraft for the battles they depict. I still prefer to fly DCS ww2 in any case. Hoping for more ww2 modules.
@@philstyle Poor guy got shot down 2 times and it looks like he had none of the action on the planes Paddy was chasing.. if that doesn't make a good case for being active on comms I don't know what will! Very informative vid. I'm one of the controllers giving vectors straight to the closest bandit. I guess that makes sense for modern jets fighting it out with 50 mile missile ranges, but when they need to get up and close for some actual dogfighting that changes the game ofcourse!
@@BoJack_HorseFly85 Albeit the radar picture is a modern one there were Luftwaffe Radar stations at France. Other commands covered the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway and ofc Germany itself. www.gyges.dk/Gefechtsstand%20Bunker%20Luftnachrichten%20Dienst.htm
This was GREAT....another aspect of DCS that I "noticed"...more like this would be awesome!
Interesting view, really appreciate all the GCI works, makes flying a lot more fun!

Ahh! I was wondering about this! Great to have a bit more insight into the GCI role
