Much longer than A Feast for Odin, but I like both. I think this is more of a brain burner as you head into Era IV. Great game.

Wow! Very high quality review, both in terms of production quality and of sheer review-commentary. Looking forward to more videos from you!

Anyone who has played both this and A Feast For Odin? I really love the latter, and wondering if I will also like this one.

Having played both I think if I have the time I prefer The Colonists, but both are great games.

The Colonists has longer play time. I usually use the inofficial Solo Rules from Boardgamegeek, they have a very good Solo Variant there, called rival stewards. Usually 4 to 7 Play Sessions for 4 eras If you think really long about every action like me.
A feast for odin is normally 1 to 3 gaming Sessions, depending in how many islands you want to Puzzle and complete.
Both are great Games and the Colonists definitive has the more complex and longer proccesing of you're production line.
A feast for odin has also a very unique Solo Campaign on Boardgamegeek called i think irlt was Solo booklet.

Great review. I saw this game for the first time this week at my LFGS. I was surprised to see it came out last year, has a 8.0 rating on BGG and yet there are only 2 reviews of this game on RUclips. Any thoughts on why it seems to have flown under the radar? That seems odd for a Mayfair game.

Price point for one as it retails between 80 and 90 USD. Given the amount of time it takes to play, getting enough plays in for a review takes a bit as well. :) It also can feel intimidating at first with so many components in the box. It seems like it should be a lot more complicated than it really is at it's core.
