What she is showing appears to be a 31 stitch repeat. She is showing that that comes out to 7” wide using her yarn and hook size. She appears to have extra chains as a cast on and just take out what you don’t need.

Das sind eigentlich mehrere Muster in einem. Dadurch, daß nur in die hinteren Maschenglieder einstochen wird ergibt sich auch noch das Rippenmuster.
