New subscriber here!! Love your reactions to RUSH and so appreciate your enthusiasm for the best band ever.. and the soundtrack of our lives!! It’s pronounced “Entre New”. The S is silent! The reason you hear keys and bass at the same time is because Geddy (and Alex) both have Taurus Pedals so they are actually playing the keys with their feet! You should really check out more live stuff so you can see them in action, maybe pull the lyrics up on your phone if you want! Most of their stuff doesn’t get blocked! Really enjoying your RUSH journey!! Keep it up!!
The musicality is over the top. For three players to fill in all the space is unbelievable. The thought and carefulness that is put into the music and lyrics is second to none. Best band ever!
I love your reactions and your gentle spirit 🤗Neil is a truly gifted writer - he worked very diligently at his craft and for me is the GOAT. I recently suggested "Ghost of a Chance" which is a bit of a switch up for the band and has amazing bluesy guitar work (there's a live Snakes and Arrows Tour version). Another great deep cut is "Losing It."
This is a beautiful song and Nous is pronounced new. Canada has two official languages, French and English and Rush will sneak in some French in their songs from time to time. Different Strings is a deeper cut so that maybe the reason it didn't get as many views. Permanent Waves is one of my favourite Rush albums. Cheers
This is easily imho the greatest album by rush, musically speaking. I absolutely adore this whole album. Lyrically too, excellent stuff. and I love the production even. everything is perfect in it. Where as their next album has, imho, a fair bit of uninteresting music on side two, even while side one is flawless perfection.
This has always been a very special song for me. Something that we all can live by. You might have missed my comment on your original reaction to Triumph's Blinding Light Show. Here's a live concert video of that song from Baltimore in 1981. Check it out!! ruclips.net/video/3Y1MkWf25gs/видео.html
Looks like you've done every song off of Permanent Waves except thier most popular: The Spirit of Radio. You mind as well knock it out. Listen to album version 1st.
My most unfavorite Rush songs, (of which this is not one) are vastly technically, compositionally, lyrically and musically superior to just about any other bands songs. Rush is in a league of their own...
I have always loved this song both musically and lyrically. The entire "Permanent Waves" album is amazing. I would say it is one of their best.
Same. :) It's beauty, eh!
"..the spaces in between leave room, for you and I to grow" - pure poetry
entre nou (you don't pronounce the 's' in French)

Pronounced "On - Trey - New"
Love this track. Thanks for getting it on the Channel.
Adore Rush, as I have done for 40 yrs,
RIP Neil, you were the best drummer ever ❤🙏
Amen! There’s a video featuring only Neil & it’s phenomenal.
Entre Nous - probably in my top 5 favorite Rush songs
Neil was an amazing writer.

I think you're ready for something longer with The Fountain of Lamneth from Caress of Steel...
Watch the live version and you’ll see Alex switch from electric to acoustic. The Snakes and Arrows tour was the first time they performed it live.
Neal dropping bars again

Cool songs from Caress of Steel (Neil's first album with Rush)
Bastille Day
Lakeside Park
Fly By Night was his first album with Rush.
@@gold98gtp You are correct! My bad.

Awn-trah Noo is close enough for an English speaker. FYI, French is my primary language.
