Ugh the constant rotating wheel of tidying never ever ends! I swear the moment something is clean, my toddler touches it and we are back to square 1 😂

Long time watcher - probably about 10 years! And I’ve got a 7 month old. Love watching these videos of you and Oryn! I also struggle to get enough iron in my little one. I’ve found that, in addition to meat, adding lentils to recipes helps a bit! Making soup? Add lentils. Making purée? Add some lentils. Making rice? Add some lentils! Love and support from Canada. ❤

Smoothies are great too, it's how I get veggies in my son. I blend a ton of spinach with broccoli, banana, milk and/or yogurt

Watched this while sitting with my “one day” box, full of baby clothes and books I had from my toddler years. I’ve got IVF early next year (5 years failed trying). Vlogs like this just help put me in that happy place, I can’t explain it

Such a lucky baby; can tell he is so loved. Recently read a study that said than people are double as likely to suffer depression if ferritin (iron stores) are under 50 (over 12 used to be considered normal so it might not be mentioned if blood tests find “low normal” ferritin) and my mood seems to exactly follow my ferritin status so I’m convinced this is not considered enough.

awww Oryn is such a sweetie! he's your little twin! i remember having a SIGNIFICANT dip in mental health when i was tapering off breastfeeding - right around 8 months actually. can definitely say once i got my period back and breastfeeding was completely over, my hormones were in a much better place and i felt much more stable. i think you almost have a bit of an oxytocin withdrawal when they start weaning. thanks for sharing him with us! 💙

I think it's some ptsd from the depression you had in pregnancy. I have moments like that a lot. When something happens that triggers a memory or situation for me I will feel off for a day or 2. If it's a really bad trigger it can throw me off track for a week sometimes. I hope everything continues up and up for you and Ory!

I think post natal supplements are important for good mental health. Maybe try omega 3, zinc, magnesium, B6 to maintain good brain health xx

For foods, just wait until he’s a bit more than 15 mos, and he hits a slum of only eating chicken nuggets and fries, or pasta, or burgers. Yup almost all kids hit that kind of slum… 😅😅

Has his eyes always turned in, or is it just him looking at the camera? Just curious, my 2 older kids did that and by 2 they both had glasses. Just something I thought I'd point out. Love your videos

I really hope you don't take this the wrong way, but as someone who is Autistic/ADHD I can't help wondering if you are also Autistic? It would explain the blips in your mental health too. Maybe just something to look into to see if it resonates at all with you? Oryn is getting so big and so mobile, you're doing great with him!

So when I was pregnant my psychiatrist did actually do a referral for this as she thought it was possible I was on the spectrum, but it would be very mild if it was. I was sent a form specifically for girls but even as I was filling it out I was thinking "this doesn't sound like me", and sure enough I didn't even hit the criteria to have a full assessment. The mental health stuff only really hit me in pregnancy and a little after, so I think that's more likely baby related than anything else.

You were talking a bit about foods and I know you at least used to be vegan or vegetarian. So I am wondering: what was your thought process behind feeding Oryn meat and not raising him vegetarian?
