  • Think this may be the first time both of us have been ill since Oryn was born. Always a bit harder when battling bugs but we manage!

    Washer dryers are notoriously useless at the drying part - if you haven't got room for a separate dryer, getting a dehumidifer can significantly decrease drying time on an airer

      Yep, that’s what we do, it’s really good. And costs pennies electricity wise

      I third this! Dehumidifiers are great, dries things so quick, also good for stuff that's not suitable for the tumble dryer, and prevents condensation from the clothes you air dry. Plus it can be used to dry the bathroom quickly when you've finished a bath or shower. Ours is a Menace 20L low energy, and it's been great. We got it from appliances direct as that was cheapest!

      I can also recommended a dehumidifier! I still cannot believe how quickly clothes dry in the airer

    for your dryer to work better you need to split your laundry in half - so have a basket to catch half your wet laundry load. Clothes need space to move around, no matter how many times you run it if there's no room for the clothes to get air circulating, it won't dry them. Try splitting the load and tell us how it goes

    The screw bit is called torx. It's much better then all the other ones. We only use those screws for all our projects.

    My washer dryer is 7kg for the wash cycle but only 4kg for the drying cycle. I normally do my wash cycle then an extra spin then take some of the load out then put it on the dry cycle for 1hr 30mins

    It's so good to see you both and your parents. I love seeing him, he's so adorable!! Love the updates. I had forgotten how I would put up barriers from my baby getting to wires, going into the kitchen, etc. Haha, I remember the chairs I used. I had forgotten that. It is hard when mom and baby are both sick. I was a solo mom too. Stay well and we are all looking forward to Oryn's first Christmas xo

    The aldi pouches are really good and much cheaper than Ella's Kitchen - their banana and blueberry porridge is dairy free xx

    We're you nervous about giving him peanut butter for the first time? I've heard some parents drive to a hospital carpark and give it to them there for the first time just in case, which seems overly anxious but I get it!

    What age do babies start sleeping through the night?

    • @calcifer1234
      @calcifer1234 8 месяцев назад +1

      It depends on the baby. Some babies will sleep through from 3-6 months, but others won't sleep until past 1 or 2 years. You can also have a baby who sleeps through the night, but then something can cause them to wake again, like teething, a regression, or being ill. It's a bit of a luck of the draw to be honest.

    Can you talk about if you are still planning on not showing baby anymore online after he turns one? I would love to continue watching your videos but I cannot support anyone who exploits their kids online.

    Do you think Oryn will think of your parents as parental figures/bonus mum and dad as he grows up?

    • @Comptonisa
      @Comptonisa 8 месяцев назад +10

      Not like she was too young to have a baby. They are his grandparents arnt they?

    • @vickyw9898
      @vickyw9898 8 месяцев назад +8

      Why would he see them as a 'mum and dad' rather than grandparents?

    • @kelsi1077
      @kelsi1077 8 месяцев назад +5

      Traditionally before people had to work well into retirement age, grandparents regularly played a heavy role in raising their grandbabies. It is not unusual, even for nuclear two parent families.. so I’m sure Orin will see them as his grandparents.
      My grandma had a similar role as my mom was a single mom, I’m definitely able to define the different roles as an adult! :)
