    Here is the first mini-documentary about our traditional boatbuilding work and research here in Japan. Our first week was spent in Niigata building a "Honryousen" (typical river boat) with Mr. Nakaichi Nakagawa.

    What is the name of the type of “nails” used ? Was any coating applied to the boat ?

      "Tsubanomi." The boat did not have any finish. Thanks for watching!
