White Bass Fishing North Dakota - Cranks on Lake Ashtabula BONUS CATCH

- White Bass Fishing North Dakota can be a blast, but Devils Lake isn't the only white bass strong hold. Fishing North Dakota in Lake Ashtabula can produce some big ones, includes some ND Catch and Release progam white bass like on this day. Catch and Realse White Bass needs a minimum of 16" and I squeaked by!

Who else enjoys catching the "other bass" on occasion?
Enjoy catching anything
Same, never picky when something is willing to bite :)
I’m an equal opportunity catcher. The larger white bass put up a valiant fight.
I love anything that puts up a scrap, probably why pike are my overall favorite lol
2 weeks ago I was catching a mix of smallies and white bass crashing some bait on the surface of a large ND lake. I had so much fun I didn’t care which bass was hooked at the time.
Looks like another fine day on the water. You had a good day.
Been having a lot of success this year, hoping the heat doesn't kill the bite!
Wonderful video. I grew up fishing Devils Lake (before the flood swallowed our property) for white bass and this video brought back some great memories. Highly recommend pickling white bass, absolutely fantastic.
I remember back in the 80's they were worried about it drying up... it's just insane
Jagged Tooth Tackle Exactly!!! As a kid I would fish under and around the bridge crossing six mile bay and guys would have to wade their boats through just a couple feet of water to make it under the bridge. I heard that after the flood that bridge had to be rebuilt three times due to the fact the water kept rising and flooding it out. Crazy.
@@adamhall2326 if it ever goes back to the levels in the 80s people are going to wonder why they built roads so high up in the sky lol
Those are some really green white bass.
That lake is quite something! Stunning!.. Definitely need to get a 🛶. Sub from the UK 🎣👍🇬🇧
Thanks! I'd love to go there and do some big carp fishing some day
@@JaggedToothTackle Ah! I had a beasty Carp looking at my bait yesterday. He was a proper old warrior. But he wasn't having any of it! After a brief inspection he was off 😔
@@sheppeyfishtales Big carp are incredibly hard to catch. I see a ton kayak fishing but they aren't having it
I have a quick question, do you throw your kayaks in at the boat entry or did you throw them in near the bridge?
Launch as close as you can where you want to get to
Nice katch good size looks bout same size as devils lake whitties
I need to run up to devils and get on the white bass run once, they are a blast
Hello! I was wondering if you know any good bowfishing spots near Bismarck for carp?
I don't know the missouri system at all but there has to be some great back water locations
Eat'em.... They are good eating...
I've had them before fried up -- not bad at all
Jagged Tooth Tackle maybe I’ll see you out there one of these day. We fish out there often.
Jagged Tooth Tackle coming out this weekend!! I’ll let you know how I do!
The only fish I really catch in the summer is white bass, when fishing by the bridge at so let crossing
Drew Mon Caught some Small mouth and Pikes at Sibley. A ton of white bass just at random spots throughout the lake. Didn’t hook into any walleyes though.
Hey! More ND fisherman! Subbed! If you've got some spare time head over and check us out as well!
Will do, nice to see locals on RUclips!
Ha can you lip him some times you act like you haven't been fishing for that Long dork lol
Haha, it's not so much lipping them as watching where the hooks flop to. I've had a couple of trebles surgically removed before so get a little gun shy there (and I have soft hands as I don't do manual labor anymore lol)
What city is that lake in?
Just google the lake name and it comes right up
