  • White Bass Fishing North Dakota can be a blast, but Devils Lake isn't the only white bass strong hold. Fishing North Dakota in Lake Ashtabula can produce some big ones, includes some ND Catch and Release progam white bass like on this day. Catch and Realse White Bass needs a minimum of 16" and I squeaked by!

Who else enjoys catching the "other bass" on occasion?

I’m an equal opportunity catcher. The larger white bass put up a valiant fight.

I love anything that puts up a scrap, probably why pike are my overall favorite lol

2 weeks ago I was catching a mix of smallies and white bass crashing some bait on the surface of a large ND lake. I had so much fun I didn’t care which bass was hooked at the time.

Been having a lot of success this year, hoping the heat doesn't kill the bite!

Wonderful video. I grew up fishing Devils Lake (before the flood swallowed our property) for white bass and this video brought back some great memories. Highly recommend pickling white bass, absolutely fantastic.

I remember back in the 80's they were worried about it drying up... it's just insane

Jagged Tooth Tackle Exactly!!! As a kid I would fish under and around the bridge crossing six mile bay and guys would have to wade their boats through just a couple feet of water to make it under the bridge. I heard that after the flood that bridge had to be rebuilt three times due to the fact the water kept rising and flooding it out. Crazy.

@@JaggedToothTackle Ah! I had a beasty Carp looking at my bait yesterday. He was a proper old warrior. But he wasn't having any of it! After a brief inspection he was off 😔

I have a quick question, do you throw your kayaks in at the boat entry or did you throw them in near the bridge?

Haha, it's not so much lipping them as watching where the hooks flop to. I've had a couple of trebles surgically removed before so get a little gun shy there (and I have soft hands as I don't do manual labor anymore lol)
