Hello Jeanette - I am a recent subscriber and have been looking at some of your earlier videos (like this one) and enjoying them immensely. This one caught my eye because I have a pattern from the same collection. After many attempts, I gave it one more go just last night, but the body was already so long for that tiny little head, when I saw there were still 12 more rows, I gave up. I wrote to the designer with some questions, but I never heard back. So disappointed! Anyway, I love your work (so refreshing now that no-sew plushies seem to dominate the crochet market), and I do a little happy dance in my head every time there's a new post.
I like the idea of a vlog every few days. It means I keep up with them. I lead a very boring life but we all think that and enjoy hearing and seeing what others get up to. Love your felt plans x
Hi Jeanette, lovely to see you everyday, can’t wait for you to start your felt creatures. Please check there are no nesting birds before Tim cuts the bushes, the nesting birds will leave the eggs if you disturb them, my hedges look awful at the moment but I have at least two nests, the chicks are very vocal at the moment x
Oh thank you for the heads up regarding the birds. Our family have bluetits left us at the beginning of last week, it’s wonderful to watch then come and go all day feeding the young. Xxx
We would never get tired of watching you Jeanette. I love it when one of your vlogs or podcasts pop up. The quilts were beautiful. I loved the owl quilt and the runner with the chicken on. I have put the books in my wish list they look beautiful. I like sewing with felt. Take care and love to Tim and Zack ❤❤❤
I think the seaside mouse will be lovely when she’s done although she did look a bit odd without her arms! What a lovely choice of fabrics in the shop! Although I’m not into sewing these days , I can appreciate the colours and choices. Lovely to hear we’ll see more videos in July- I just hope the weather perks up by then as it’s wet and cold here and not at all like summer! X
Haha Jeanette…I’m in the middle of making seaside mouse too!….and I have the book ‘little traveller’ and can recommend it. Love the fabrics you chose for Marmalade’s clothes…looking forward to seeing her completed…take care…x x x 🥰
I would never be bored of your videos! They're so cosy and fun 😊❤ I loved watching your previous Christmas in July videos. Looking forward to them again! I adore Christmas and happily jump on any excuse to watch or do anything related to it haha
@craftycleggscreations Same here! It's my favourite time of the year. The festive feeling is so lovely 😊 I have a Christmas CAL I joined in on last December that I haven't finished. I might join you in July for some festive crafting to get it finished 😊
I'm sure I wasn't the only person who said "bless you" to the screen when you sneezed! I'm really happy to hear that you're going to be doing Christmas in July 🎉
Yes, that's good thinking. I'm so pleased it's not just me with that pattern. Your collar looks bigger than the picture as well. I did mine 2/3rd of the size required, and it was still too big! At least the finished mouse looks good but the making is strange! Thanks for taking us out with you. X❤
My attitude to housework is identical to yours Jeanette…..incredibly boring and I’d much rather be crafting. I can’t wait to see your Marmalade….too cute!
Thanks for your chat and taking us on your journey to the fabric shop. Such beautiful quilts and bags. Your Seaside Mouse is very cute and Victorian. Looking forward to see the squirrel and Marmalade. Do you think Marmalade could be made by a novice sewer? Xx
Hey!! You are lucky with the weather . We are expecting 100 degrees next week in NY, going to be horrible! Your mouse is adorable and love the felt toys. I’m not crafting too much, my hand is awful from knitting, I can’t stop so I said not more than half hour a day😂
Hi Jeanette, when do you intend to sleep? Your enthusiasm is infection with so many projects to finish and start. We went out for a walk today, before the rain came, first time in 7 weeks that George has managed to get outside but the physiotherapist brought him a wheely walker (I have no idea of the proper name) and he said it was great to feel fresh air on his face. The shop where you used to work is my idea of heaven, see you tomorrow x
I really like the shape of that mouse's head and ears. She is really cute and I think you are right, a swimming costume makes so much sense. Marmalade and Hazel are such cute projects. Looking forward to them. And the Christmas journal. See you later.
Yes I agree seaside mouse does have a super cute head. I absolutely love the festive season and love to take part in the Christmas in July, it gives you a good excuse to make Christmas items that will be all ready to use in December without the worry of not having enough time to finish them for the holidays ( if that makes sense) 😜
Love these vlogs and excited that they will continue with Christmas in July! It's such a treat to get these snippets of your crafting talent to look forward to a few times a week. Thank you!
Love your videos. You have given me an idea as I was very ill last Christmas I missed everything and still have advent calendars to open, so I am going to do Christmas in July thank you 😘
Oh that’s great. I love Christmas so much so I always try to take part in Christmas in July. I’m very much a Christmas person, love everything about it. My favourite part is from the 1st to the 25th Dec. And after that I can take it or leave it. Lol
Hi Jeanette another lovely video. Angela is a very talented person her quilts and bags are beautiful. I would love to go shopping in a beautiful shop like that. Those speciality shops are few and far between in Australia. Wool is too expensive to use, and many of our farmers bury the fleece when the sheep are shorn, because they don’t make any money out of the wool. Your seaside mouse is beautiful, paddling in her scarf 😊. Your felt toys will be great. Do you sew them by hand or machine? I have some patterns but haven’t tried them yet. Thanks again,Julie Tasmania Australia ❤❤
Thank you for your lovely comment Julie. Angela is so talented, she taught me so much when I worked there for her, I’m very grateful to her and she is always happy to help if she can. My creations are made by machine and I always finished then by hand.
What a lovely shop - you must have loved being surrounded with all the yarns and fabrics when you worked there! I resorted to a blanket and hot water bottle this afternoon down here in the Midlands I was so cold (not putting the heating on in June!). The felt toys look fun to make - I am trying to make a little felt mouse for Helen's mousealongmal. It's quite tiny and a bit fiddly (not used to making toys) but I am enjoying trying.
I too knit socks with natural yarns. My skin doesn’t stand nylon. My experience with Mondim varies. I think that the variegated colours are more resistant than the solid ones. I enjoyed your podcast a lot. Cristina in Lisbon, Portugal.
Thank you so much for supporting my channel. Your skin doesn’t like nylon but mine doesn’t like wool 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️. I do suffer with a skin condition and I think that’s what the wool irritates.
I enjoy your videos. Your makes are so nice! I envy your cool weather - I'm in the southeastern US where it is very hot. Wish we could switch weather for a day! Looking forward to seeing your bunnies and the finished seaside mouse!
Janette. Looks like you're going to be busy. My friend enjoys toy making. I gifted her the marmalade book. There's never enough time to make everything, is there. I'm making gift socks that need finishing for the weekend. I really want to get on with mouse making. The weather is rubbish, it's pouring down and blowing a gale. Keep having to remind myself it's June. X
I actually put the heated blanket on in the bed last night as I was that cold. I’ve got the heating on at the minute and I’m just about to make hot chocolate. I really want some summer, our garden looks like it’s been abandoned. Lol lol

Oooh my gosh….that fabric store is amazing! All that yarn too.
Can you imagine working there. I never had much of my salary left at the end of the month lol lol
Another lovely vlog. What a wonderful fabric store. Happy Birthday to Maddox. Hopefully he received his present on time. ❤️
Thank you so much. Maddox got his gift and he loved it. Xxxx
The fabric shop is breathtaking!
It’s a fabulous shop. So much choice. Xxx
I could run amok in Angela's shop - sooooo much to love! The little mouse is sooooo prettyxxx
I often did Bernadette, I often left without my weekly salary and a big bag full of fabric/ yarn and bits and pieces. Lol lol
Oh the little mouse is adorable! I can wait to see your felt toys.
Thank you. X
Loved your demonstration of a hedge trimmer! Thanks for sharing your ideas. Jane
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I like the idea of a vlog every few days. It means I keep up with them. I lead a very boring life but we all think that and enjoy hearing and seeing what others get up to. Love your felt plans x
I guess you’re right really. What I think is the everyday others may enjoy. ☺️ xxx
All those beautiful quilts at the fabric shop, just stunning thank you for showing them xx
Angela is such a wonderful quilter, she really is such a very talented crafter. Xxx

The book is also on my wish list. I always forget how much I enjoy working with felt, I really should do more. Xx

The weather has been awful Heather. I must admit I don’t normally take this much interest in it but this year it’s non stop misery. Lol lol
I would never get bored of watching you Jeanette. You are so talented , look forward to seeing your new projects finished so exciting.❤
Thank you so much, that’s really kind of you.xxx
Haha Jeanette…I’m in the middle of making seaside mouse too!….and I have the book ‘little traveller’ and can recommend it. Love the fabrics you chose for Marmalade’s clothes…looking forward to seeing her completed…take care…x x x 🥰
Oh really….. great crafters minds think alike. I’ve put the book on my I wish I had it list. lol
I would never be bored of your videos! They're so cosy and fun 😊❤ I loved watching your previous Christmas in July videos. Looking forward to them again! I adore Christmas and happily jump on any excuse to watch or do anything related to it haha
You’re obviously just like me when it comes to Christmas. I LOVE it. Always have done. I don’t even mind the expense of it. 🥰🥰🥰

Everything is so big Pamela, and honestly I’m over this rubbish pattern. Lol lol it’s very odd looking but it will have to do as it is. Lol lol
Just loved the trip to the fabric shop so much to choose from xx Really like the quilts, talented work
Angela is such a talented quilter. She has some amazing pieces of work. Xx
What an inspiring shop with all those samples (and gorgeous stock). Your Seaside Mouse will be so cute. I love the puff sleeves.
Thank you Julie. My seaside mouse is all finished now, I’ll show her off in my next video. Xx
My attitude to housework is identical to yours Jeanette…..incredibly boring and I’d much rather be crafting. I can’t wait to see your Marmalade….too cute!
Life is far too short don’t you think to worry about dust. Lol lol
Absolutely!
Thanks for your chat and taking us on your journey to the fabric shop. Such beautiful quilts and bags. Your Seaside Mouse is very cute and Victorian. Looking forward to see the squirrel and Marmalade. Do you think Marmalade could be made by a novice sewer? Xx
I definitely think it’s beginner friendly. My advice would be read the pattern throughout before you start and just take your time. X
Hey!! You are lucky with the weather . We are expecting 100 degrees next week in NY, going to be horrible! Your mouse is adorable and love the felt toys. I’m not crafting too much, my hand is awful from knitting, I can’t stop so I said not more than half hour a day😂
