Hurricane Sally wreaked havoc on Gulf Shores, Alabama in the evening just before landfall. Significant storm surge, very high wind, and extreme inland flooding caused many areas to see impacts. Arcing power lines heralded widespread power outages, numerous trees were felled (some onto homes and vehicles) , and dozens of roads became impassable in high, swift moving water.
Video features a close range arc of electricity (power flash) from utility poles, a tree downed onto a car. swift moving surge down streets, blinding rain, and very high wind.

Fun fact, the worst thing to do is drive a vehicle during a hurricane, you want to get it as high off of the ground as possible becouse the water that is being blown in is salt water, and salt water will ruin a vehicle by rusting it through in a hurry.

@@ryancool-pq5vu If it gets really bad where people are, it can make it more difficult to escape. Especially with power outages. Shouldn't be so bad if it's evacuated areas that are hit, but if it doesn't do what is expected, the outcome isn't pretty.

We get a lot of storms like that one in North Queensland Australia but that's the tropics. What is happening to our world's climate. When you get lightning strikes sparking on power lines. We are advised to turn the power off at the mains.
Just up the road in Foley here. It’s pretty rough but we aren’t seeing the massive flooding yet. Strong winds and massive downpour but the power is still on. Could be a lot worse.
