Thanks very much Phil. Just tried this on a mix that had been causing me problems and it was an instant success. Proper air punching moment. (I then did it another 20+ times because it sounded so good, LOL).
I've watched plenty of tutorials. You have the BEST style when it comes to teaching and explaining. It's simple, to the point and it's easy to do and remember.
Great help as always 😀 In the first example, you could also loop the 4 bar intro to match the 8 bar outro to allow a little longer to mix.
Even now after following your advice and tuition, I feel it’s really starting to click, it’s been slow learning curve what with this pandemic and family life but I’m so happy it’s coming together, I think now it’s just a question off practice practice practice, thanks Phil you’ve been a legend!

Hello Phill, I’m a beginner Dj and as I am progressing I realized I don’t know anything about the laws and the ethics of creating mix or playing live! Like should I be playing only royalty free music or just by simply purchasing the track I get to play it for a crowd or post it online ! I want to be professional with my sets and prepare my future based on so !

faisal alwan you can play what you want live.if you want to do it on Facebook live you can play what you want youtube is different you need to look up all the songs and only play RUclips licence music

Or, if using rekordbox, go into export mode, load your track, set a memory cue where you want the dext track to drop in, click the arrow on the left hand side that'll move the track back how many bars you want, normally 8 if your tracks have an intro and they're not hard techno or something. Set a memory cue there as well. Do the same after the first build up and chorus in case you want to mix out quickly.

I am a hip hop/pop dj but your lessons have prepared me for edm as well should I ever get called to do any edm gigs. even when making a set for youtube i don´t know which track is next. i just do what i feel like and mix every genre whenever i like. Today i mixed like at least three of four genres.
Can you put together big compilations of different types of transitions? Like just clip the transition out of dozens of dj sets to show many examples of each type of transition?

Yo Phil - how much of your music has mis-analyzed beat grids in your Serato?
i.e. how often do you have to edit your beat grids to use them successfully for your cues?

Buy some equipment & practice! When you think you’re ready to DJ in public make some mixes & give them to night club promoters in your area. It’ll be tough at first though... there’s always more supply than demand 😢

place all the songs in order 1 after another dont mix just play and record place it on youtube and they will email you the songs that has copyrights on them so like that u know wich songs u have to keep out of your set and mix it 👍
