Hydrangea, Iris, Rose, Lavender, Sunflower, and Morning Glory all are in bloom in Japan during the summer month of July. Maybe a Kitsune inspired by Japanese flower in the summer since the Kitsune is a part of their folklore. I personally love the idea of a Lavender inspired , their color gradient as a skin tone would be beautiful!
A sunflower fox would be absolutely gorgeous as well I think. Yellow flower with the european orange fox could give beautiful color combination. Sunflower could represent the harvest season too. But I'm bias since I am an absolute fan of Provence's fabric patterns with sunflowers/lavenders and indigo color.

Don't worry about her color palette it is actually perfect! Arctic foxes shed their white fur in exchange for a brown or grey coat when spring comes around. I love her so much she is adorable and the wood pattern on her face is magical!

With a summer fox I automatically had to think of a Fennec fox. I also like the idea of taking the stifling heat of summer as a theme, temperatures where it's just too hot to do much. As a plant would be suitable of course then cacti, some have beautiful blossoms.

A fox that’s in the middle of a heat wave, but lives in the heart of NYC’s Chinatown (to stick with the Asian theme) and her only respite in the heat is to hang out on her fire escape in a bikini top, short shorts, and a cup full of ice (because she lives in NYC, she’s too broke to have an air conditioner, lol). If possible she should have big hoop earrings with her name in them. Think J-Lo meets Black Pink. This is basically a doll inspired by me in my 20s. (-coughs- the 2000's -coughs-) Lol So feel free to respond if you like this idea and need help putting together an inspo board. Either way I love your work and whatever concept you come up with would be freaking fantastic. And if this concept doesn’t work for these seasonal foxes, I hope you use it for another doll. ❤️

I love this series of seasonal fox dolls but must say this one is by far my favorite. I absolutely love the enhanced wooden features & flower details. For a Summer fox I think bright sunny yellow contrasted with water blues would look nice. Playing off of the sunny & beachy vibes. A third color could help bring it all together... like green or any color really.
Our foxes here in Maine, northeast USA, have lots of variety in fur according to age, gender, and time of year. This time of year I just saw a brown fox with a whitish tail carrying off my husband’s favorite chipmunk today, and I don’t have the heart to tell him!

The first plants/flowers I think of is green bamboo and purple balloon flower. There is a major festival celebrated all over the east, called Tanabata in japan- the star festival. Bamboo is set up and covered with wish papers of all colors- its my favorite time of year. Another, more local festival in summer you could use is the lantern festival on mount Inari, Motomiya. The mountain is named after and sacred to the kami of rice and kitsune.
Summer for me brings dragonflies, sun, and cool water surrounded by grass. So colours to me are shades of yellow, blue & green. I remember sitting on a rock at the edge of a pond and watching dragonflies dart over the water & surrounding fields of green hay. At night I would go back to the same rock to watch bats skim the pond for drinks with stars overhead.
I keep thinking about summer festivals to go along with the outfit theme, and a wild free-spirited kitsune, maybe a bit more wild and “fiery” to go with the summer heat, summer also makes me think of water/swimming since it is hot and that’s the most fun way to cool off… I know that’s a lot of mismatched jumbled ideas but yeah 😅 Lisa came out so adorable and I love the textures on her!
A summer fox might embrace the different festivals and matsuri that happen during summer. Fireworks, little stalls with games and streetfood, colorful lanterns, parades and different masks come to mind! Since those festivals go on well into the hot summer nights, I would keep their colors dark, with a few bright accents to represent the brightness of the lanterns and fireworks. Since Akino has a darker palette as well, the group of 4 would compliment eachother well.

When the video started my 5yr old daughter (her name is Liliana) heard you both say hi and she turned to look at my screen and said hiiiiii and waved ^_^ That pink fabric is stunning! I love floral prints especially in light pink or in black. I love that there is so much details that go into all your dolls, I also learn new things about different cultures at the same time. I LOVE cherry blossoms, they're one of my fav flowers along with a night sky petunia. She is so beautiful. I see the summer fox being a ginger/blonde fox wearing shades of blue, maybe wears sunglasses, the most laid back of the set. Could be named Sandy.

When I think of summer, I think of camping, water parks, and cool drinks. So maybe a summer themed fox would be bright red and have have a more Tom-boy vibe. Maybe sporting some Tobi Pants
Where I live, the rainy season always happens in the summer (which is kinda ironic because I live in a desert and most people seem to associate deserts/dryness with summer). The rain always seems to make everything turn really vibrant colors so I’d like to see that in a summer doll.
I love the idea of a golden-orange theme with white details (fur) at the end of the tail and the tips of the ears, bright blue/green eyes and a mischievous expression. Summer is about letting loose, being free, and dancing under a full moon. Let it be fun.
I do not know much about Japanese style/culture but form my American point of view a summer fox could have something to do with beaches and oceans. Along with the vibrant green trees. Hope this helped!

To me summer means swimming and getting a little too tan maybe a little red and getting freckles. Also as a kid my family and I would go to the sunflower farms for a picnic and we’d take the seeds home to roast or coat in chocolate, and my mom would make a flower arrangement with them 🥰

I feel like the summer fox would be the 'wild child' of the four. Long warm nights to party and have fun, sunny patches to sleep away the day, all the free time because there's no school. I feel like they would be a clash of bright color, but could easily hide it. Something like a very bright and colorful lining to her outfit that peeks out of a more muted outer layer or a bright band of hair color in a possible undercut only seen when her hair is pulled up. I could see her drawing more inspiration from the real life technology and fantasy tech of japan where it crops up in real life and in media. They could possibly be named Gijut or Gajetto
I feel like a summer fox character would be bright but also intimidating, also probably very dramatic and outgoing, and probably easy to find in a crowd. She would be very very confident and have quite a fashion sense. She would also probably be the tallest. Idk why but it just seems like she would be really tall.
for a summer fox i would def look into traditional japanese season fashion. in japan they have a few flowers that go with each season and people used to usually rotate decorations and clothing to fit with the season! sunflowers, hydrengas, and lavender bloom in summer in japan. i also think a matsuri or festival fox would be fun! maybe they would wear a jinbei
I've been getting a lot of inspiration lately so I'll share some of my ideas for a summer fox. Summer can be taken in different contexts; Scorching heat and droughts, Warmth and energy, and more. For a fox, I'd go with the second option, because there are so many types of flowers that grow in the summer. I'd suggest researching the spiritual meaning behind Japanese flowers that grow in the summer and make your summer fox themed after one or more of those flowers. Japanese culture itself can be very inspiring, so I'm sure you'll come up with some ideas for a beautiful design just like your Fall, WInter, and Spring foxes! I also thought about a few ideas for the design myself. I can see short dark brown hair with wisps of red and orange and a long front(side bangs(?) like you did with Lisa maybe?), tan/orange skin or fur, 6 tails (9 tails, 6 tails, 3 tails, 1 tail!) Maybe some flowers in the hair too. I'd personally give the summer fox a yellow "sun" orb. I have so many ideas but I don't want to make an essay...I may have just done that though XD
if you were to do a summer fox, i think a Tanabata-themed one would be really pretty! the star motifs and the wishes made on colorful paper hung on bamboo would make for a really cool design

Gorgeous. Her face is truly a masterpiece! For a summr fox, I'm thinking waves, sand, beach.... How about a fox that looks like she is made of sand? A light tan colour, with a long, glittering cloak and sand-covered toes? Ocean coloured eyes, maybe some kind of pretty water gems...
For a summer kitsune, maybe make it a male with some red and orange accents, similar to the usual fox color, and yellow accents on his uniform. His name will be Taiyō, which is Japanese for "sun". Maybe he'd be a warrior or the eldest brother of his three sisters.

So I went into research mode and found that the more the tails (which is up to nine except for the kitsune goddess of life who has ten tails), the older, wiser, and powerful they are. As for ideas for a summer kitsune, the best one I could find, and one that suggested it, is a festival kitsune. I did look up for any japanese names for summer and found with what it means. The names are: Natsuko = summer + child Natsumi = summer + harbor + beauty Natsuyo = summer + era, reign Natsuki = summer + hope Chinatsu = thousand + summer Hope this helps!
I live in Ohio in the US. And on are property we have two fox dens. We own 46 acres so we have quite a bit of wildlife.any ways in the summer it seems like the younger foxes have the most beautiful copper color fur with really bright red in brow around there faces and tale. I mean when there in the sunlight there beautiful. But I wanted to tell u guys about the coppery golden colors so maybe it can help u out with your summer fox doll. There all so beautiful I'm sure you both will do an amazing job. ❤️

Absolutely gorgeous and the wood texture makes it look amazing. Here in New Zealand, summer is Christmas time and all the Pohutukawa trees bloom in deep red flowers so i associate summer with deep red of flowers and berries that we get at Christmas. But I guess most people will associate summer with yellows of the beach and the parched grass and the really washed out blue that the sky goes when it's so hot that there are no clouds.

This doll is cute. I was kind of expecting more green but pink makes sense. Summer made me think of greens of lively trees or bright yellow and sunshine. But, I also think of thunder storms and rainy days listening to rain on the leaves of trees so.....not sure how that would help unless you want to make a storm fox or another tree fox

Summer is usually associated with bright, energetic sunny days, so I think an interesting design for a summer fox could be inspired by summer nights! Warm, relaxed and a bit mysterious, with little lanterns or fireflies to bring a bit of light. And of course I absolutely love this one, she's so cute

Oh oh oh... and there's varieties of sunflowers that are multiple colors like yellows, oranges, and reds, which are great colors for the hot summer.

Where I live, the rainy season always happens in the summer (which is kinda ironic because I live in a desert and most people seem to associate deserts/dryness with summer). The rain always seems to make everything turn really vibrant colors so I’d like to see that in a summer doll.
I love the idea of a golden-orange theme with white details (fur) at the end of the tail and the tips of the ears, bright blue/green eyes and a mischievous expression. Summer is about letting loose, being free, and dancing under a full moon. Let it be fun.
I do not know much about Japanese style/culture but form my American point of view a summer fox could have something to do with beaches and oceans. Along with the vibrant green trees. Hope this helped!

To me summer means swimming and getting a little too tan maybe a little red and getting freckles. Also as a kid my family and I would go to the sunflower farms for a picnic and we’d take the seeds home to roast or coat in chocolate, and my mom would make a flower arrangement with them 🥰
She is exquisite.The face paint really is very delicately done and really suits her character .I think the unusual texture works well on this one too.The clothes are beautiful and so well made as always..And the whole doll is as I said exquisite as well as super cute 🥰
I think that the color pallet for Summer kitsune should be like becky the gekko and Atlantis! More greens and bright yellow, lisa is so precious 🌸💓

I feel like the summer fox would be the 'wild child' of the four. Long warm nights to party and have fun, sunny patches to sleep away the day, all the free time because there's no school.
I feel like they would be a clash of bright color, but could easily hide it. Something like a very bright and colorful lining to her outfit that peeks out of a more muted outer layer or a bright band of hair color in a possible undercut only seen when her hair is pulled up. I could see her drawing more inspiration from the real life technology and fantasy tech of japan where it crops up in real life and in media.
They could possibly be named Gijut or Gajetto

I feel like a summer fox character would be bright but also intimidating, also probably very dramatic and outgoing, and probably easy to find in a crowd. She would be very very confident and have quite a fashion sense. She would also probably be the tallest. Idk why but it just seems like she would be really tall.
for a summer fox i would def look into traditional japanese season fashion. in japan they have a few flowers that go with each season and people used to usually rotate decorations and clothing to fit with the season! sunflowers, hydrengas, and lavender bloom in summer in japan.
i also think a matsuri or festival fox would be fun! maybe they would wear a jinbei

I've been getting a lot of inspiration lately so I'll share some of my ideas for a summer fox.
Summer can be taken in different contexts; Scorching heat and droughts, Warmth and energy, and more. For a fox, I'd go with the second option, because there are so many types of flowers that grow in the summer.
I'd suggest researching the spiritual meaning behind Japanese flowers that grow in the summer and make your summer fox themed after one or more of those flowers. Japanese culture itself can be very inspiring, so I'm sure you'll come up with some ideas for a beautiful design just like your Fall, WInter, and Spring foxes!
I also thought about a few ideas for the design myself. I can see short dark brown hair with wisps of red and orange and a long front(side bangs(?) like you did with Lisa maybe?), tan/orange skin or fur, 6 tails (9 tails, 6 tails, 3 tails, 1 tail!)
Maybe some flowers in the hair too. I'd personally give the summer fox a yellow "sun" orb. I have so many ideas but I don't want to make an essay...I may have just done that though XD
if you were to do a summer fox, i think a Tanabata-themed one would be really pretty! the star motifs and the wishes made on colorful paper hung on bamboo would make for a really cool design

For the summer fox, I'd look at Japanese summer festivals! A nice yukata, maybe he has a sparkler and little trinkets from playing the games, etc!

Gorgeous. Her face is truly a masterpiece! For a summr fox, I'm thinking waves, sand, beach.... How about a fox that looks like she is made of sand? A light tan colour, with a long, glittering cloak and sand-covered toes? Ocean coloured eyes, maybe some kind of pretty water gems...
For a summer kitsune, maybe make it a male with some red and orange accents, similar to the usual fox color, and yellow accents on his uniform. His name will be Taiyō, which is Japanese for "sun". Maybe he'd be a warrior or the eldest brother of his three sisters.

So I went into research mode and found that the more the tails (which is up to nine except for the kitsune goddess of life who has ten tails), the older, wiser, and powerful they are. As for ideas for a summer kitsune, the best one I could find, and one that suggested it, is a festival kitsune. I did look up for any japanese names for summer and found with what it means. The names are:
Natsuko = summer + child
Natsumi = summer + harbor + beauty
Natsuyo = summer + era, reign
Natsuki = summer + hope
Chinatsu = thousand + summer

I live in Ohio in the US. And on are property we have two fox dens. We own 46 acres so we have quite a bit of wildlife.any ways in the summer it seems like the younger foxes have the most beautiful copper color fur with really bright red in brow around there faces and tale. I mean when there in the sunlight there beautiful. But I wanted to tell u guys about the coppery golden colors so maybe it can help u out with your summer fox doll. There all so beautiful I'm sure you both will do an amazing job. ❤️

Absolutely gorgeous and the wood texture makes it look amazing.
Here in New Zealand, summer is Christmas time and all the Pohutukawa trees bloom in deep red flowers so i associate summer with deep red of flowers and berries that we get at Christmas. But I guess most people will associate summer with yellows of the beach and the parched grass and the really washed out blue that the sky goes when it's so hot that there are no clouds.

This doll is cute. I was kind of expecting more green but pink makes sense. Summer made me think of greens of lively trees or bright yellow and sunshine. But, I also think of thunder storms and rainy days listening to rain on the leaves of trees so.....not sure how that would help unless you want to make a storm fox or another tree fox

Summer is usually associated with bright, energetic sunny days, so I think an interesting design for a summer fox could be inspired by summer nights! Warm, relaxed and a bit mysterious, with little lanterns or fireflies to bring a bit of light.
